- The Anbernic RG353PS has been praised as the best budget handheld since its release. In this RG353PS review, we take a look at this retro gaming handheld and add games to test out other systems to see what the Anbernic RG353PS is capable of.
This handheld, like many other RG353 systems from Anbernic, shares the RK3566 quad-core chip, that runs at 1.8GHz.

Hold down and then (space bar on a real Amiga) use button 2... If you push button 2 and 1 when you're in a ball you can unleash chaos on the whole screen. It's great 😃👍
Sweet little handheld. The NDS screen options were pretty cool! Like the form factor too. Perfect for old skool arcade games on the go!

I actually have the Retroid in the same colour, the 353VS in the same colour, a grey RG35XX, the RG535VS in grey and a black RG280V. It’s a very similar pile of madness to yours!

@@TeamPandory I just realised that I am a bore! I liked your video about the yellow RG35XX, but I don’t have the time to do that. Besides, that will go to my eight year old and he’d probably prefer the better, original finish. My RP3+ is blue, though! To be fair, I don’t trust the clear plastic as much as I trust the grey material.
@@ComeJesusChrist the blue looks pretty good. And yeah. I think the translucent feels a bit thinner than the regular opaque builds. Still. Looks nice 👍
@@TeamPandory OK, I’ve reacted on my life and realised that I’ve actually ordered a yellow Retroid P3+ before I’ve ordered a blue one. Than I thought that I may hate Android, so I sold them. Then I kept looking at the blue one and ai thought, that looks amazing! So I do like colours, but it is true that many transparent or translucent plastic cases in the past were were inferior to solid plastic, so it does make sense to be cautious.
I have one on the way. Just wondering where is the best place to get the Amiga /C64 game files?

Hi, I bought it a few weeks ago and since yesterday I have a problem with the quick load or save function. It practically doesn't take those commands anymore, I'm talking about consoles emulated with retroarch, the other quick functions instead go smoothly. Do you by any chance know how I could solve this? Thank you
Hey there 👋
Check the libretro cores for if the emulators actually support quick save / load or not. Some do not.
Also, there may be a chance that your microsd is full. If there's no space left you won't be able to save anything.
at 6:26 how did you get to Frameskip? I've looked everywhere I can't find it lol
Get into the retroarch menu, quick menu, then to into the core options. Should be in the video section, maybe it's name something else tho. Hope that helps.

If you get one with an additional 128gb microsd, yes. If you go for the single 16gb then no.
You say at the end of your review "the second SD card is not reliable". Do you mean the second SD card (provided by Anbernic) that comes with the ROMS? If you buy your own sd card (better brand) and add your own roms, is that the solution? Or there are still issues? thanks
The microSD that comes with all Anbernic devices are no-brand.
Although some people haven't had any issues with them, they are definitely more prone to error than an authentic Sandisk or Samsung MicroSD. As soon as you get the handheld, make a clone copy of it, then keep the original safe.

i guess that resolves the issue of "not being able to save progress" too? I saw in another video that with the stock firmware / roms, you can't save progress on games like Pokemon (seriously!?) so i assume that with a new sd card and different set up, it's then possible to save@@TeamPandory

Retro Pocket 3+ but the compatibility list is not 100% although it's still quite massive.
Nice review. Can you please quickly check on your device if Tomb Raider 1 and Tomb Raider II (PS1) are playable and work well and comfortably with this RG353PS device? Thanks in advance (even if the screen is small to play tomb raider, it can be played on a bigger screen with HDMI so that's a nice bonus)
Comfort depends on the person, but Tomb Raider 1 and 2 work fine on this handheld. :-)

@@TeamPandory i don't use it to play amiga. i use it to play sega genesis. but, before you buy this try emulating amiga on your pc. cause that's a lot of money.
Does Bluetooth headphones connect properly to this device?
More than likely not.
I have the P version, and yes, Bluetooth headphones work. I use my Xbox headset and AirPods Pro. Running the latest ROCKNIX build.

Depends on the price. 353p runs more / faster, but 353ps feels like it's more polished. If that makes sense.
