Joe, no joke saw one of these yesterday while at a stop. The color is what made me pay attention, I knew it was a Pilot but didn’t know it was a trailsport. I love this color and it’s actually a really good looking SUV. The tech in it is more than fine. I have a huge screen in my current vehicle (22 Edge) but CarPlay isn’t the entire screen, a clear high resolution 9 inch screen is plenty as is the combo analog/digital instrument cluster.

One thing you missed: the removable and double sided cargo load floor can go down into the bottom of the floor just like the last generation. If you have the other trim levels with the cargo dividers under there for the middle seat, those are also removable and the load floor can be put down there in those trims also. And if you have a trim with the place for the middle seat, there will still be some room under the floor when it's in the low position. I see a lot of reviewers miss this, and I never fail to point it out any time I see it.

    • @2004cyrus

I recently bought a 2023 Trail Sport and it’s fantastic, however there are some things that I’m not happy about. 1. I don’t like that it’s not flat when all the rear seats are down being it has a huge gap due to the rear passenger captains chairs. 2. The mitigation safety features are completely annoying and unnecessary for attentive drivers. Good thing is they can be shut off. 3. The Auto Idle Stop is absolutely ridiculous and I doubt it saves much fuel compared to the cost of replacing the battery and starter more frequently. It needs to be over-written every time you start the vehicle(Good Grief), unless you drive in sport mode full time. 4. That silver hitch cover is horrible looking like a diaper, I immediately replaced it with a black version as it should have been done!

I just bought the Trailsport 23, I was split between Trailsport and the Palisade, the Palisade is definitely quiter and gets a good amount of tech for the money but the metal seems flimsy and I also drove the 2020 models to see how they age and I got a lot of squeak and grunts from the breaks. The safety features are exactly the same except Hyundai gives you a blindspot camera while changing lanes which is neat. I bought the Pilot cause of the built quality just tap the body and you’ll see, also the off road capability , the transmission, the time tested engine and the safety features won me over.

But I like this, feel like Honda held a few things back such as those ventilated seats, larger infotainment screen and gauge cluster, and the drivers Heads-Up Display. The same things Joe pointed out. But the seats are very comfortable upfront at least, the ride is great just like Joe pointed out. I realize Honda had to give us the most necessary things and not include other features or we’d be spending $55,000 instead of $50k. I do love the second row sun shades and captains chair and pano roof a lot. I wonder if the speakers are great in that Audio system. I didn’t get to test them. Really love the new Pilot. To me it looks like an improvement over the last gen. But still using a timing belt? Cmon Honda. That's an automatic $1500 minimum every 100k between changing that belt/water pump parts and labor. 😮

Love the exterior styling. But I'm not a fan of infotainment screens that look like they were just plopped on as an afterthought

nice like the large cargo bay wish there was a 2row opt for us who have no kids , I get car sick just thinking of siting in the 3rd row cruves , freeway clover leafs , there no OS handle, no door to open, no window to roll down ,one is trapped. how do you get out or open a door to escape , do like the under floor locker , to hide goodies cameras , I pads, drones out of sight

3rd row reclines as well. Trail sport does not have 2nd row middle seat to remove nor ventilate seats

Honda over Nissan, all day every day. The color is nice but I prefer something different.

@@RaitisRides I like the color I just don't think it's a good fit for this vehicle.
