And all this could be foreshadowing, and the dialogues could be updated to foreshadow future content related to upgrades. Imagine a M.U.L.E. upgrade terminal where you can put a weak sentry on Molly.

Maybe it's because the Drop Pod targeting systems are meant for hitting large targets and large areas. Molly is a very small target and you can't expect a pod of that size to get right on. You also don't want it to land on her.
Surprisingly, I REALLY doubt this is the case. Mining is a treacherous affair and cave in collapses just from a pickaxe hitting the wrong spot are a real threat to real miners. Structural integrity of the caves and earth are a real thing and miners have hard knowledge of this. Now imagine what would happen if a multi metric ton chunk of iron hit the surface at terminal velocity and burrowed into it. The shockwaves alone probably collapse a good portion of whatever is underground. The drop pod likely lands at what is calculated to be the most stable location to ensure that said caves DON'T collapse on impact so they can even get the miners in in the first place. You'll notice that the drop pod also tends to land relatively close to its original landing site (As seen in escort missions, point extractions, and on site refinement) (adjusted for orbit to subsurface targeting) to ensure that it can actually extract the team. Even if they're as callous as you think they are, burying the MULE which can't dig would defeat the purpose of sending the miners in. In short, the pod is likely landing where it's most stable and the site can take the impact for both insert and exfil. It would defeat the purpose if it can't get the workforce in or the goods out. Not every company is some callous nebulous evil management that doesn't give a shit about their workers. DRG recognizes that the world is hostile, and mining is a dangerous business. Losses are expected and you can't get broken up about it. But if DRG really didn't give a shit about it's workers, it wouldn't give them the level of support they get. Hell the drop pod wouldn't even have seats for the dwarves to extract from.
@Graveyard Shift fair point one thing though Molly is programed to take the quickest route to the drop pod even if the dwarves are physically incapable of following Like one time I saw on the DRG subreddit the drop pod spawned at the end of a hole made by the gunner's rail gun pistol and Molly is able to crawl through any gap no matter how small I've seen her go through seemingly solid walls One time the drop pod landed in a way that the zipline couldn't reach it so the only possible way to the drop pod was to mine through by hand on solo it was in the radioactive exclusion zone so the rock mined slowly and wound up just a second too late And I get that there are companies that do give a crap about their employees I happen to work at one of them but DRG does no seem to be one of those companies
It's implied that the weapons and gear given by DRG is pretty expensive and advanced, my guess is that they dont want to make it too hard that no dwarves could survive an expedition but not too easy that they dont have to write up a few "lost personnel" claims
"i hope your as good a miner as you are a dancer"- command Meanwhile the whole squad is boogying on the dance floor and getting hammered seconds away from going out on a mission
@@suspectpanda3879 i think it's more a ammo production system that is too big to work with conventional weaponry dealing vastly reduced damage as you scale it down(would explain why bosco does so little damage as opposed to a bet-c) so they in theory could put a gun on molly. But it would do next to no damage. Or the mineral compression system on molly is expensive/can't be made smaller due to its internal components. witch would explain why instead of the same systems being used on drop pods/rigs they use mulchers for better mineral storage

@@tabdeugo The reason it's a problem with BET-C is because BET-Cs are old and lack the component security modern DRG machines have. A machine like your common MULE or APD (e.g. Bosco) doesn't seem to suffer Xynarch infection, so in theory it'd be a totally sound decision- the real reason not to do it is because it breaks the core gameplay.
I have a theory that DRG’s research department has massive tanks with tubes hooked up to masks on their mouth full of smart stout, that they consume constantly.
Life in DRG would be so much easier but less fun if R&D just had a tube feeding them smart stout then writing down the stuff they think of and then doing it
I thought Karl died, but turns out they just lost him. I hope that in the final update of DRG when ghostship moves on (which I hope never happens) that they add a final mission in which you find and rescue Karl.
The way they could figure out where Karl is is to give a dwarf a lot of Smar Stout for a long time so that he can keep the information long enough to tell where he is.
There was an exploit for a short period of time where if you trapped yourself in a room with no exits and pressed the button, the drop pod would land directly ontop of you. I choose to believe this is the strat he comes up with when he drinks the stout XD
I really hope they do an event where they find Karl. He becomes a fifth class in the game, the glyphid master. We find him wearing the dreadnaught gear and have to get him to the drop pod.
It really took them a smart stout to think of arming the mule...

@Graveyard Shift fair point one thing though Molly is programed to take the quickest route to the drop pod even if the dwarves are physically incapable of following
Like one time I saw on the DRG subreddit the drop pod spawned at the end of a hole made by the gunner's rail gun pistol and Molly is able to crawl through any gap no matter how small I've seen her go through seemingly solid walls
One time the drop pod landed in a way that the zipline couldn't reach it so the only possible way to the drop pod was to mine through by hand on solo it was in the radioactive exclusion zone so the rock mined slowly and wound up just a second too late
And I get that there are companies that do give a crap about their employees I happen to work at one of them but DRG does no seem to be one of those companies
It's implied that the weapons and gear given by DRG is pretty expensive and advanced, my guess is that they dont want to make it too hard that no dwarves could survive an expedition but not too easy that they dont have to write up a few "lost personnel" claims
I wish that ordering a subsequent smart stout would allow you to finish your train of thought
“Medic class”
no
"Medics are for pansies"-some random dwarf probably
I would enjoy some new classes to play with.
The medic is not it though.
"i hope your as good a miner as you are a dancer"- command
Meanwhile the whole squad is boogying on the dance floor and getting hammered seconds away from going out on a mission
Even if the guns may fit on the MULE, the ammo for them probably doesn't. Not if you want to put anything else - like minerals - inside.
I'd like you to tell me were bosco keeps his stash then
@@suspectpanda3879 its why bosco dont hold minerals, hes full of ammunition
@@suspectpanda3879 i think it's more a ammo production system that is too big to work with conventional weaponry dealing vastly reduced damage as you scale it down(would explain why bosco does so little damage as opposed to a bet-c) so they in theory could put a gun on molly. But it would do next to no damage.
Or the mineral compression system on molly is expensive/can't be made smaller due to its internal components. witch would explain why instead of the same systems being used on drop pods/rigs they use mulchers for better mineral storage
You could just glue a couple of engineer turrets to the MULE and call it a day.
@@Shaun_Jones could be an overclock for engineer: turrets can be placed on movable stuff
The drinking animation is so satisfying
I thought so to dude
🤦♂️ I replied myself
Man your really dumb
Yeah dude he probably didn’t graduate
Stop being so mean to him guys it was a simple mistake
"The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side!"
"THAT'S A RIGHT TRIANGLE YOU LEAF LOVER!"
"D'OH!!!"
"why dont we put guns on molly" thats too smart for management, thats why
2:07 litsen, fun fact, there is actually a way in game to let the droppod land precisely at dwarf locations. You just gotta.... aw by the beard I lost it.
Time to drink another round!
Would be neat OC/upgrade for turrets to mount them on Molly, up to 4 at the time
wish we could stick turrets/drop shields on the drilldozer
Yes turets on robots, because that went totaly well with BET-C
@@tabdeugo The reason it's a problem with BET-C is because BET-Cs are old and lack the component security modern DRG machines have. A machine like your common MULE or APD (e.g. Bosco) doesn't seem to suffer Xynarch infection, so in theory it'd be a totally sound decision- the real reason not to do it is because it breaks the core gameplay.
@@g--stef4756 yeah i think it's a matter of the a.i. the modern equipment use vs the old crude systems
I have a theory that DRG’s research department has massive tanks with tubes hooked up to masks on their mouth full of smart stout, that they consume constantly.
what an amazing game better than most AAA games
Life in DRG would be so much easier but less fun if R&D just had a tube feeding them smart stout then writing down the stuff they think of and then doing it
What if someone just kept drinking this stuff
We’d be able to find out what was in the pills that make sniper tf2 piss 20x as much as a normal human
or more likely, death from alcohol poisoning. I mean, it's still booze! And not the weakest one for sale either.
bro really said 🤓
2:17 hurts as a driller
I want one where its like “guys I finally figured out the difference between rock and stone, you see rock has a…um… lost it”
"Hey... HEY, why don't we carry O2 tanks when we're doing LOW O2 warning missions?"
I thought Karl died, but turns out they just lost him. I hope that in the final update of DRG when ghostship moves on (which I hope never happens) that they add a final mission in which you find and rescue Karl.
Can’t tell if it was dumb or smart, but I remember trying to set up a Sentry Gun on Molly when I first started playing
The dwarves were so close to creating a union against DRG. Tragic :’(
iirc there is a union
I’ve never played this game before, seems very fun and funny
1:19 is the one you're looking for
Scout's "Did you know..." Is just 👌
now that’s literally a 🤓 beer
“i think Deep Rock is exploiting us” -🤓
Don't think you needed a Smart Stout to think about putting guns on Molly. Management probably thinks it's a waste of money and time, though.
We need to know where Karl is, he is still alive and out there, we need to send a scout team to find him, also, arming the mule would be cool
Granite is also a national rock in Finland and heavily used in construction of aesthetical furniture
I like how smart stout makes the dwarves drop their gruff tone.
Thank you scout for enciting this great knowledge upon us
"WHY DONT WE PUT GUNS ON MOLLY??"
Sounds like that SmartStout was a placebo and hes talking out of his heart
There are more voice lines. Such as the Driller saying that he does not eat rocks for breakfast.
i like how one of the lines is the reference to a bug with Molly and drop pod
the bois in RND inject this stuff constantly they're basically drunk geniuses
Karl is the only one who can drink a Black Out Stout and be fine.
Man woke up and decided to temporarily ascend.
"Ummm... actually" beer
"akthually, we should start our own mining company to not be further exploited by deep rock"
- 🤓
Scout knew how to use error cubes for a sec
Ok but those last ones are just ghostship just teasing us at that point
"Why dont we put guns on Molly?"
Xynarch Charge Suckers: :D
"Why don't we put guns on Molly" is absolutely an idea that SHOULD come up during a night of drinking
We almost knew more about karl
The way they could figure out where Karl is is to give a dwarf a lot of Smar Stout for a long time so that he can keep the information long enough to tell where he is.
Man, Lloyd was really getting a geology lesson here huh?
There was an exploit for a short period of time where if you trapped yourself in a room with no exits and pressed the button, the drop pod would land directly ontop of you.
I choose to believe this is the strat he comes up with when he drinks the stout XD
So we have to find 5 error cubes on a mission (impossible, I know) and put them somewhere. A core infuser maybe?
I really hope they do an event where they find Karl. He becomes a fifth class in the game, the glyphid master. We find him wearing the dreadnaught gear and have to get him to the drop pod.
Wormhole beer should take us to karl for a few seconds
@@robloxy1032Karl: "Oh thank God! Someone finally found me. Listen you have to tell Deep Rock that-" and you warp back.
2:24 almost solved a mystery
That should be a season update like say depending on the hazard of the mission that determines whether or not the M.U.L.E. will have guns on it
"Why don't we put guns on Molly?"
Engineer Unlock: Mobile Mini-mule Sentry guns
I dont need smart stout to know the meaning of a dwarf life is to dig
I love how it takes them literal millions of IQ just for them to figure out that they should put guns on Molly
Did you know that drg is one of the Best games ever for his characters and a fin gameplay, with such caves with his own qualitys and biomes ☝️🤓
"Why don't we put guns on Molly?!"
DRG already tried that with... mixed results
You picked the perfect dwarf for this
