Jesus that just shows you if your missing any information in math your doomed when you move on to other classes. This information goes as far as differential equations. Strong foundation is key.Thank you professor Leonard.

I never knew that monomials were classed under polynomials ! Interesting.

It's funny how I'm in algebra 2 and your videos are following almost the same pace as my school course work

What do you call the terms added together if they have variables in the denominator?

All fractions can only have numbers on the bottom what does that mean???

Please consider selling worksheets of the writing you have on the board so we can follow along. Your writing is legible, but premade notes would save me soooo much time

Just take a screenshot of what you want to save, print it out, and put holes in it and put it in your binder.

Why is degree of polynomial only the largest one? Is there no use to adding up all the degrees in the polynomial? Why is the term not just "largest degree" instead of just degree to avoid that confusion

Because as he says, the rule is that one level below addition or subtraction you do nothing. And degree is the largest possible exponent in all monomials so it makes sense that the largest exponent in a polynomial would be the degree. Hope that helps!
