Regardless of what fans think about the canonical changes and whether it is true to the "spirit" of Star Trek, I will say that Discovery's actors are very talented. And the visuals have been spectacular thus far. Loved that little smirk from Georgiou as she sits triumphantly in the command chair (with the Imperial theme playing instead of the Starfleet theme).
Michelle Yeoh alone and the way she played the Emperor won DSC a few points, she's absolutely amazing! And seems she have real fun being the evil emperor :)

USS Discovery helmed by mirror Lorca abled to brought successful defeat of the Klingon Destroyer and attempting coup against the Terran Emperor. I believe it takes a Terran to defeat the Klingons. And with such condition of Federation massive split, it takes an emperor from another universe to bring klingon down to its knees! I have a feeling season 2 we’ll see more of Philippa to bring victory to Federation, in return, the federation will need to bring her back to her mirror universe and reclaim her throne from Emperor Laundry (Lorca’s subordinate, my theory that is).
Great scene. The only thing missing is Saru's threat ganglia going up when Georgiou came back onto the Bridge. (Would be even more twisted if she saw it and said.."mmm..tasty" lol

If we allow Hollywood to cast an actor of a different ethnicity, they would cast a white person whenever possible, as we have seen with Cumberbatch's Khan, Johansson's Kusanagi, and Swinton's Ancient One.

Which Georgiou is this ? I get it’s implied that it’s the Mirror version & while I haven’t fully watched this series, I’ve watched clips & therefore shall I assume this was in S2 ? If so then it does not make sense to me that Michael seems displeased to see her since I think or assume they became close in S2. And I don’t think this is S1 since Mirror Lorca took over as Discovery captain in that season.
