I find it ironic that they changed their name from slaves because it was problematic but have RW in their song who recently took a boat load of money to perform in a recently built stadium that resulted in the death of many slaves.

I actually had never heard of Slaves or Soft Play but happened to catch this song on the radio and I immediately loved it! Then found out the story behind it and loved it even more, been listening to their music and definitely have to check them out if they ever come to Denver!

Saw these guys live in Brighton a few days ago as the opening act for the Prodigy. Fucking awesome, such an energetic stage presence and absolutely brilliant music. One of the best live experiences I've had ❤

Brilliant, as an old punk and being around when the movement started, these guys are one of the most engaging newer generation punk bands. If they ever tour in my area I'll go see them, hopefully they let old folks in to their shows ;)

Well yes, because "Punk's Dead" refers to what some of the backlash said, with people saying stuff along the lines of "Changing your name because you realised it might be offensive to people is PC shit, punk's dead." They themselves don't think punk is dead, but some of the outraged/anti-PC knobs said it was.
Ironically enough tho, punk has always been about going against societal norms to do what you feel is right, so punk is very much alive in light of this song. Counter-culture at its finest. The vocal numb nuts crying over things "becoming too PC" are missing the point of punk entirely and are mad that their ignorant attitudes and actions don't get a free pass anymore.

First I'd heard of these was them supporting the Prodigy in Manchester. Great music, and it was like watching a bloke have a fight with a drum kit. 😂 Seeing someone standing up playing drums while singing is a bizarre and amazing sight. 10/10. Definitely a fan of these, now.

I learned of you guys earlier this year, RUclips started recommending me your songs, and I had heard about the controversy on your name change and all, but hadn't really looked into it, although I respect the motives and how you handled it, you guys are a million times more understanding and listening than many out there.
