I just bought some 2 weeks ago. Amazon had then $9.99 for a bag of 8. They screwed up and sent me 5 bags of 8. SCORE!!!!!😂😂. Going tomorrow to try them out and see what the hype is about.
Got some a few weeks ago and I didn't care for them. They slide down the hook to easely, even with a drop of glue. They also tear near the eye of the hook. I'll stick to the Senkos....
There seems to be a new trend to these stubby bulky "turd" style baits. I'm sure they will be effective just like ned rigs when they came out years ago...
Finesse application is definitely becoming more and more popular. When covid happened, i noticed an increase of fishermen due to the lack of "activities" you could do indoors. With covid becoming non-existent, we will see how that changes the pressured fish.
The trick is to to buy lures for their access properties. For example, I buy these because I can skip them precisely, easily, and I can otherwise cast them very far.
FYI the myth about catching fish with a gummy work is not a myth. I was with a guy at Lake Amador and as a joke popped one on. It worked and we're STILL laughing about that 8 years later. I guess hit dogs are next? 👍
My experience with the brand is not real durable, salt in bait, does this, will it eventually harm fresh water lakes, where do salt deposit go, but I digress, salt causes less durability, because it's occupies spacing in the plastic? Is salt cheaper than plastic, just asking? I don't know, I do mull it over, do know, Yamamoto Yama Frog seems to have nose wear, durability issues. Wishing the prices were lower, or a few more pieces to the bag. I mean Z-Man is like fishing Stretch Armstrong. The issue there, Z-Man plastic doesn't play at all with other plastic, melting issues, and some baits best used on their terminal tackle because it will stretch not rip out over Z-Man centric hardware. But the price vs durability, hard to beat? Do like the Yama Frog, front body reminds me of this bait, very fat, heavy, flexible. I think I rather fly fish Japan anyway, when and where I win a mega state lottery to get there. 😮
Was wondering if I was the only one. They seem to have way too much salt to where the plastic can't hardly bond together. Even before catching a fish mine was tearing at the hook eye

BOOM! What a nice win!
It gets a ton of bites, but the cost to durability ratio is really disappointing. I wish Zman would make something like this!

Yamatanuki’s are specialized for skipping and long casts I’d say, or just another option.
Agreed, they don’t last long. At all.
I fish alot of weed bottoms lakes and pond and this definitely looks like a good bait for windy conditions
Agreed! Slow fishing on windy days 😀
It definitely catch fish. You'll only get 2 to 3 fish per bait but works.
How do you get 2-3 fish per Yamatanuki? I’m lucky if I get one.
I fished a grass bed this morning that pulled the Tanuki off by itself - no bite.
The bite is tough in June, gonna tie 1 on tomorrow

Gary designed some of the best oriental baits out there
Indeed he did! I can attest that everyone has a pack of senkos in their boat/tackle box 😀
Anglers give bass too much credit. They'll bite anything, literally!! Lol
Agreed! Haha
Bass will eat it if it moves, the bass can can keep up, and it fits in their mouths.

Looks like it would work good for flipping/ pitching too
🤫
@@ChewyThaoFishing haha…noted!
Caught a 4lber smallie on this last weekend on tjis so yea. Works for bass and pikes😂😂
just got 2 100 bags of senkos i will have to wait a few weeks on this one.
Can u skip them?
Yes! They are excellent for skipping under docks and timber. 😀
Probably the best skipping lure I have used
Temu has a cheap version that works well
What's it called ? Link ?
What happened to the packaging?
re-designed packaging. I prefer the old one 🥹
Sad
someday someone will cut a hotdog in half texas rig it and find out it catches more bazz than anything...untill then im buying some of these

I've caught walleye texas rigging a hotdog
Not very durable one bite and it’s done, but it catches the fish
No joke. Largemouth ripped it in half.

So far not impressed with this one. Prefer a couple other similar baits so far better. Maybe I just have found the sweet spot yet.
I made and bagged that bait
nice!
Not that good. PERIOD
You're always better off using live bait.
Nothing beats live bait… but tournaments ban live baits lol
@@ChewyThaoFishing So what you do is take a live worm and spray paint it purple and add garlic spray. You'll win every time..lol
