I've been fishing the Fat Ika for over 16 years. Upon first sight, I knew this bait was the DEAL!!!! Fishing the Yamatanuki has not been a disappointment!! It's soooooo versatile. This bait will not replace my Fat Ika but due to its weight it accomplishes some things I wish the Fat Ika couldn't do. Take the time to learn this bait. You won't be disappointed.

this bait is stupid good. my go to bait when river kayaking. its heavier enough that i dont need a bullet weight. good bait to skip under cover. caught over 20 bass with a pack. although i did burn through all of it, but i was on the river for 14hours.

Interesting. I wonder how this bait would respond to a swinging jig head. Going to pick up a bag of these, and a bag of the Fat Ika....neither of which I've fished. I do miss the smallmouth fishing up northing and the Midwest. Having moved down to Florida, the fishing once you figure it out (which is a right of passage in-and-of itself), the fishing is spectacular. But, the species is fairly limited. But, I digress... hopefully, this will work out well down here where you can get snagged spooling your reel in these lakes.

It's a fishing machine! Any suggestions about tear-outs? 1-2 fish per lure is not good!

I’m lucky if I get one fish per lure😅
Just started using them and used a typical EWG hook. Just ordered Mustad 91768 hooks and some spring locks in hopes they prolong the Yamatanuki.
