Do not EVER do the Lazy Moose trail, unless you like exceptionally long switchbacks that actually lose elevation before the turns, and still dumps you off at one of the last steep parts of the trail. 😂 Not to mention it adds a LOT more time to the climb. And you're also much more likely to run into moose in that section. The suffer fest straight up is better. Even better still is the approach from the Mat Peak trailhead. A bit longer approach, but good climbing and less mud on the way down. Sorry for commenting on these older videos out of the blue, just discovered your channel a few videos ago, subscribed, and been checking out the content! Cheers from Palmer!
thank you for watching and subscribing and commenting! I just subscribed to your channel myself. so many cool hikes to film in this state and so few people doing it. keep hiking and filming my friend!
I start to think it might too crowded when I see more than two or three cars at a trailhead. The parking lot in the video would make me feel like I had taken a wrong turn and ended up at the mall! I guess maybe all this rain is good for something... I believe neither my eyes, nor the lies - but I might have missed the prize.
Yes! Our rain keeps the hoards away. What I love about combat hiking is all the dogs that come with it. Haha! As always, well done, with those sharp eyes!
I did this hike and there was nothing Lazy about it!!! Great vid Yoda
hahaha! yeah, the name is slightly misleading
“So today we are not in Sitka. You can tell because it is not raining.” 🤣
Great video

If you only knew what awaited you on some of those other peaks sides.
Did you meet a short engineer who called you ugly and started dancing?
I see, you're a man of culture as well
