Just watched this movie and it's absolutely amazing.. the acting of hernangomez and the villain vibes of Edwards is amazing. No overacting, just sincere in character acting
I just saw clips, and everyone was hyping up ant, but Hernangomez didn’t say a word in the clip I saw and he was better than even Sandler. Sure Any did ok, but the silent treatment was some premier acting.
I feel people are overrating this just because there are NBA players making appearances. This really lacked depth and was pretty corny. Not saying its a bad film but to say its "absolutely amazing" is a stretch. The movie felt rushed and unfinished.. Definitely could have been better

honestly, I was kinda bored through the whole movie except the end. probably not the movie's fault. just not for me. but I'll give it to Adam, his acting was great in there.
Reign over me is his best drama imo. Him and Don Cheadle. He plays a guy who loses his mind after his family are killed on 911.
Adam Sandler, Queen Latifah, Ben Foster, Robert Duvall...what a great cast. And Adam Sandler is great when he's playing serious roles.

True story. I once played baskeball with Adam at a park in santa monica. And let me tell you he is a baller very unselfish. He passes the ball and gets everyone involved. He was on my team and the game was close but on the final possession I cut to the basket and he gave me a sweet dime to win the game. really down to earth humble dude.

Even discrediting his comedy because the last decade or so, he has mediocre "family comedy" movies is dumb. There is a reason why comedy movies now are not memorable like Billy Madison, The Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, the Wedding Singer, and a whole lot of other comedies in his early works. Adam Sandler is great in serious roles as you said! And if he can get back to early comedy, we could actually have funny movies again. Cant remember the last time I wanted to rewatch a comedy movie like I did from movies in the 90s.

I had the honor of working on this set for weeks as it was filmed near me. Adam Sandler is the nicest, warmest human being. The Whole cast was kind to us extras and we all had such a blast❤️

This movie was super good! I am used to seeing Adam doing only comedy but this movie showed that he can do drama films as well. This movie was super emotional and you start to love the characters and root for them at the end.

I really love this movie. The story and acting is so good! A lot of NBA legends, active NBA players, international basketball players and Streetball legends is in the movie! This movie is a love letter to basketball fans.

@@Donny_Double_Dip Most UFC fighters are so underpaid they have to have a 2nd job just to survive. Training is not cheap. Most get broken and can no longer fight and have no way to support themselves. Dana does not do right by the fighters. Top dogs in the game have spoken out. I hope you achieve your dream but on this one you 100% need something to fall back on.

His movies are good for what they are. They aren't great, they aren't high art. But if you are just looking for entertainment, they hit the spot. They have a specific formula.There is a reason they always sell tickets or get views on Netflix. They remind me of a Tony's frozen pizza. I would never compare them to a pizza from a great Mom and Pop shop, or even Domino's. Not even sure I would call it pizza. But up until recently they were satisfying in their own way. They suck now. But they were good, in their own way, for decades.

But with a torn left knee ACL and a torn right foot achilles tendon, well, even playing for fun has been a gift from God, and watching this movie truly reminds me of my shattered dream, beautiful but at the same time sorrowful memory.

Adam's sense for drama is overshadowed by the overwhelming majority of comedy that he does. But man... I love seeing him in drama roles as well, he has some gold gems in his filmography!

It's interesting that Boban is wearing original AND1 jersey of his first basketball club - Hemofarm. Only he was wearing number 20 not 5, but still. It makes this scene more authentic.
