And it's crazy how underrated it is.

Yup they got access to every damage type and status condition in the game. Even holy damage builds while they suck for pve got access to so many unique weapons you cant even upgrade them all to max after two playthroughs.
Honestly the versatility is what made me go with it for my first play through, I’m still only 40 hours in just going around the game world exploring dungeon and killing minor bosses, I was worried a INT build might be too easy for mt first time around

I mean any truly dedicated build does MASSIVE damage and can delete bosses. Int builds just make it easier to get to that point earliest. Unless you’re like me and main tank builds so mage builds don’t go well for you
I've been a faith build main since DS1, but in ER probably my greatest moment so far has been screaming "Kill or be killed" while blasting Comet Azur directly into the first dragons nose knowing damn well if he even clipped me he'd 1 shot kill me

I did a strength faith build for my first run and it was nice but all my incantations were so weak even at 50 faith and a +25 seal idk why
No faith here, Just Strength Endurance and Vigor dump for my Great Axe bonk boy
@@false_hope2149 a nice spread for a str faith hybrid would look something like 40 str, 60 faith. You want to really lean into and prioritize your "magic"(fai/int) over your "physical"(str/dex) stats. Find a weapon to build around and meet its minimal physical requirements then prioritize your magic stat. As a hybrid build you wont be seeing insane damage output from your incantations/spells as a pure caster would, but what you gain is versatility. Also as a hybrid build, you need to buff. Things like the cracked tears, flame grant me strength, sacred order, etc.
The music goes so well with the hand movements in the faith build.
What music is it tho? Only found one of the tracks by Dxrk, but no luck with the rest

@@LoRealist17 pretty much depending on what stats you level you get different stat based abilities. In this comment thread we're talking about the intelligence build which is magic/long to mid range focused.
Other stats let's you used abilities you unlock for the classes. Leveling is fluid so you can always alter your stats to use any other abilities you get from bosses.

My uncle completed Elden ring so I just followed his build which was strength and endurance build
Faith/arcane is the best. The dragon incantations are cool and give you fire magic and physical damage to take advantage of all enemy weaknesses. And then there is placidusax ruin and bayles tyranny.

before dragon seal got nerfed i did an arcane build. 80 arcane, occult cross naginata, with jellyfish shield and dragon communion seal main hand with godslayer seal and gravel stone seal offhand for casting. strong melee damage lots of way to buff and enough faith to cast some damaging spells like black flame, lightning spear, and swarm of flies. since that seal also increases status proc with arcane scaling swarm of flies insta procced bleed plus in pvp you can proc madness really fast with frenzy incants

I play Strength and Int as I use the Dark Moon great sword with jellyfish shield it’s very op when buffed with the right Mix and talismans

Strength builds are okay now. Getting through the game at launch though was something for sure. You put that shit on a resume!
Strength all the fucking way
A pure strength bonk build is always gonna be my go-to first build for soulsborne games (and I do mean pure, I only put levels into vigor, strength and endurance), I love my 90+ strength powerstancing heavy giant crusher build that can 1-shot most players and regular enemies even without buffs

That's awesome! I can imagine why you love your build. 1-shots hehe. I find that pure strength playstyle you mentioned so darn rewarding to be honest, especially in PvP.
I roleplay as a knight with my trusty Royal Greatsword. I wish you could change the ashes of war for that weapon though, as I seldom use Wolf's Assault (too predictable in duels I'd say), but oh well, it is what it is.
Personally there are two things I dislike with a passion in duels, and that is none other than those nasty Frenzied Flame incantations and the ash of war for Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear. What is your experience with going up against those builds (if you have that is)? Colour me intrigued o.o
@@nemecil tbh I just tank frenzy and bleed stuff because I levelled vigor so much, but against frenzy I’d recommend talismans that raise focus if you can spare a talisman slot

Intelligence easily became my favorite in this game simply because of how unique and varied the spells and incantations are. Like being able to summon a METEOR SHOWER and then turn into a fucking dragon and start blasting enemies w fire, Magic, Rot, or Frost. Hell I love the Magma Breath too that shit slaps. The lightning Incants? This game goes crazy with magic and the new dlc I’m hoping gives us even more

Just started a new build recently, I’m going faith Dex this time with a Dragon Build! I plan on using stuff like lightning attacks and the dragon communion spells.
Just remember the dragon incants require a decent investment in arcane

Nice, I actually did that for my first run. I also did an added bonus of using Dragon-like weapons (Magma Wrym's weapon, Cragsblade, Dragonscale Katana, Bolt of Gransax, and any that would fit for Dragon weapons).
@@Steamboat2016 hey do you know how the scaling works. For example if it’s B tier dex and b tier faith. Should you up BOTH for the most damage or is 1 enough? Also does faith weapons or int weapons regular melee damage factor in faith or int stat? Or only strength and dex stat for melee combat?
@@iamjstew___4473 best I can tell any Str/Dex scaling is purely to do with the physical damage output of a weapon and your Int/Fth scaling has to do with the other damage types. Int works with magic and ice while Fth deals with holy and fire damage. When balancing your stats you really just need to think about your soft caps and where you want the bulk of your damage to come from. Most melee weapons seem to do more physical damage than non physical but most armors and shields have higher physical resist than non physical resist. Also take into account if you're using any buffs to a certain element. For instance if you're planning to use a flame shrouded tear in you physic to buff fire damage you'll want more fth to increase your base fire damage which will in turn increase the buffs potency and may net you a higher AR overall

Don’t get me wrong, strength is amazing but doing a 1 handed light great sword build is really fun, I get to style on enemies and also use other offhand items like perfume bottles and a crossbow, not to mention all the buffs I put on the attack repetition for the weapon and the special stance with the dlc talisman, really fun stuff.

Strength faith and vigor are my go to but i occasionally level the others as well just to keep appearances that i have no clue what I'm doing.
I’m rockin that faith build!!!! Probably the funniest build I have done in any Souls game. I’m even getting my arcane up to switch sometimes to use bleed weapons awww yeah it’s gonna be a freaking great!!!!
Then there was my biuld intelligence + Faith making the entire cosmos and Sun fall on my enemies like if a was the chosen one. Fun times but now i am max level so my biuld is everything at once.
