More mixed reviews than I was expecting overall, I imagine the Zelda clout is doing some heavy lifting on the higher scores because a lot of these frame rate drops, UI clunkiness, and general lack of variety yowards the end game would net most games a sllid 7/8 overall but these seem to be just sort of brushed off because it's a Zelda game. Literally had my Seitch freeze up at some points because of how low thw feam rate dropped, its actually appalling
@@Rin_ku I wouldn't say it's an argument per se it's more just that judging from a lot of reviews, issues are brushed over due to the 'vibe' of the game being so inherently Zelda. Meanwhile a lot of people I know personally that are playing the game (and myself) are definitely feeling less than amazed by it. It's rough at times in terms of performance, the combat is relatively dull and monotonous, the story is whatever as to be expected, and the UI is so unintuitive. To be fair though, the reviews are balancing out at a solid 8ish overall on average which I think is more fair than some of the stellar reviews I'm seeing. This isn't a slight against reviewers calling them biased for Zelda, nor do I think they're bought and paid for. I believe in their integrity and ultimately it's all subjective. I know if we ever get a Dino Crisis Remake I'll be a little fan boy about it, frame rate issues or UI clunkiness included. I just think that ultimately these games get away with a lot that would normally draw criticism.

That's crazy your switch froze up. My launch switch hasn't had any problems yet besides the awful framedrops but im only 10 hours in so will see
