Cali deliberately and most definitely called Herald of 🍊 light, Psy-frame gamma...
I side in shifter when going second with dinomorphia as I basically lose nothing as it lasts until the end of my turn and the only true issue would be the fact that I can't use wannabe and that's all. For anyone that think shifter doesn't work anymore: I won more rounds thanks to shifter than thanks to rexterm, it still works, just not all of the time

"Ash blossom is not effective against tenpai dragon" bruh, you're joking. Even if you hand-trap them to hell, an ash on kaimen can end your turn, and they'll just clap back on you turn 3.
Even if you have 12-15 tech card spots in your deck, you just can't cover all the matchups.
Tech cards just feel unimpactful right now as you need to open a minimum of 2 but at the same time, you can't opt to not play them because alot of decks FTK you which is even more annoying.
No veidos? I think it's a sleeper pick against tenpai, floo, and fire king variants.

The problem with Bird Floo is that a lot of its outs were scared out of the metagame by all the omni-negates and indestructibles. Now that Baronne and Savage Dragon are gone, and stuff like Colossus and Chaos Angel that dies to freaking YugiBoomer Raigeki is back/here to stay, enjoy your cooked turkey! 😋

Spooky dogwood is honestly strong against tenpai since they special summon so much especially when running plants I’ve won a lot against tenpai with dogwood in play

This goes all the way up to Pachinkomoney's card designers pushing those 3 as their pet Decks for years, they even created Tenpai to break into our homes and put a gun to our heads saying "run Labrynth or die" because they want Yu-Gi-Oh! to become Magic and anyone standing in their way is seen as an enemy who must be destroyed, and this is why instead of jumping from the frying pan into the fire and defecting to actual Magic, Duelists are leaving both to play One Piece.

Board breakers are better than what people think. The reason why people give them so much crap is they don't know how to use them effectively. Dark Ruler No More won't negate a unaffected monster. But it will negate every monster without that text. If you play a deck like Fire King Dark Ruler No More will let you wipe Dragoon and Mirrorjade off the board. I mean think if your using board breakers and powerful interruptions to force your opponent into going first conditions by resetting their field and forcing them to fight through your interruptions then board breakers can be even better than hand traps. It all in the decks you pair them. If its not capable of creating oppressive boards then cards like Dark Ruler No More is trash. Droplet good in deck that can recur resources well enough and Lava Golem can be amazing in decks like Kashtira. The only reason why people give board breakers crap is outside of formats where they are amazing people will say hand traps are better because they are universally applicable and board breakers aren't. People stay in this mind set that not letting your opponent play the game is better. However a lot of decks have a much higher win rate if you mix hand traps and board breakers. Inside a powerful enough deck board breakers only need to be used once to see game winning results and to see those results from a hand trap only build you need 2 or 3 of them. Who is anyone fooling by telling people they aren't good. Maybe Evenly isn't great but when your using board breakers that take away interactions in they correct decks they good regardless of the format and in decks that have ridiculous space for non-engine you have the room anyways. Past 16 hand traps you will cease to see a significant increase in win rate according to mathematical calculation. Board breakers have a mathematically higher chance it giving you a higher win rate at 9 board breakers than 16 hand traps. But thats without considering the decks your putting them in or the format.
Hey Cali, what do you think of the card called Iron Dragon Tiamaton. I think this card could have a place in modern yugioh. Because it can lock your opponent from link and pendulum summoning.

I heavily agree with Cali. Ash is becoming sideboard worthy and I myself do not play it in main anywhere unless the other options don't make sense. It's been a side piece/out of deck for me for the last 2 months I'd say.

It's quick effect summon from hand hinges on controlling "Shining Sarcophagus" not many decks are going to opt to play a brick continuous spell for this, it's also not indestructible in battle unless you control shining sarcophagus and its effect that summons another copy and burns for 1000 can very easily be played around

Sort of, but most tenpai players are on black rose to be able to nuke boards, but their effects hing on controlling fire dragon, specifically, and their synchros require a dragon non-tuner
Also, if they are on a Kashtira package, they will just Fenrir banish it
This is a bold take, but I think ash blossom needs to go down to 2 and eventually to 1. when it hits the lower tier decks that hit, they can ultimately decide the game right then and there. Hitting ash and droll to 2 I think would be the best.
Most Tier 1 decks can easily play thru ash and droll and maybe even up to 3 handtraps. Konami knows that the player base will keep buying sets just because those cards are in them and also because they are played in those decks as well. For playabilty I kinda agree but from a business perspective they probably won't. Besides most rogue strategies wouldn't stand a chance agaunst a full snake eye end-board if they don't have a single interruption during their combo.
@A-G-B I would agree they probably just want the cash to keep coming. I just feel that the Rouge decks and casual ones get hurt the most from those handtraps. I wouldn't say ban them, but just knock them down to make at least some decks do what they trying to do cuz chances are they're probably still not gonna do that great anyway.

Does there need to be a tier list after every set release, even if that set will have 0% impact on the meta?(ie: this one)?
The new melodious cards are being splashed into a lot of decks, as well as being a stand alone deck, tenpai get around certain effect negation with their field spell, both things are impacting the meta, not to mention Yubel getting a buff with nightmare throne and grave squirmer, if you don't think this set has a single impact on the meta, you might possibly be smoking

@stevenashley27 this hand trap tier list shouldn't really be about post rarity collection 2, as it's just a reprint set, but more LEDE format after all the reprints and some of the cards become more accessible, example look at droll and lock bird, just about a month ago, it was a 7 dollar rare out of TAMA, and with RC2 literally around the corner those same rares are 50 cents, that's huge to more budget players, super rare Phantazmay were near 10 dollars a copy, now 60 cents, RC2 is more about making some things more accessible, which if certain hand traps that are being printed in it are better for this meta, making them cheaper helps more people be prepared, heck crossout is in this set, meaning counter play to the most popular hand traps or even mirror matches gets more accessible, should people want to play that card
