Hawaii is such a beautiful place! Your video brought back many great memories! I was there courtesy of the USMC. Lots of work but many fun things to do also. Glad you had a wonderful anniversary!
Always wanted to go to Hawaii. My uncle was on the ship UTAH during the Pearl Harbor raid. He survived only to perish during the Great Typhoon of 1944 in the Philippine Sea. He was on the ship HULL and it and two other ships sunk during the typhoon. Your video was special for me, thanks for sharing and Happy Anniversary.
Happy anniversary guys!!! Man that trip looked awesome! So glad you guys got get away for a bit and relax and have some fun yall work so hard you definitely deserve it!!

The Diamond Head hike is certainly a good way to get your daily steps in, I’ve done it a few times , each one tougher than the last, it’s great having family living local… London U.K. is a long way away from Oahu, but worth the 17 hours journey time.
Thanks for the tour I have been to Hawaii two times BUT was never able to get off the plane. On my way to Viet Nam and the other coming home to the states. Depending on who you visit the island with I would make it a priority to see Pearl Harbor. I have heard that you can ride the city bus and get a nice tour but that was 50 years ago. I wonder if the people are still talkative. I am glad you were able to take the trip and I saw more water than dirt. Enjoy all your channels😎
I live right next to the national park at kipahulu also known as seven sacred pool.Hana is are little town.I watch your channel a lot didn’t know you were here could have gave you a tour of our farm.
Great video!! When we were Pearl Harbor we were inline to get in. They made an announcement that a tsunami was coming!!! Everyone ran! They never opened that day!!
If and when you go back you need to go to the big island of Hawaii it is awesome, I was stationed a Hickam AFB on Oahu for two years and toured all of the islands we loved it there. Great video.
👍🏼 Once at port, the Star of Honolulu had a special price on 'whale 🐋 watching'. They DID NOT have to give out any vouchers if whales were not seen 👀, as two were next to the boat in port❗️😎 Darn it, I missed ya'll 😮 In the old days of sail (only), the pungent smell of 🐋 whales was known as GLIPS ⬅️ a little fact lost to time. 😊
Lived there for 5 years. When on the plane flying out I cried. Loved island living. You should have went to the north shore and got away from some of the tourist stuff. Although it has change since the 80's, I miss it! I've always said do it on your own, it's much more enjoyable! And get away from the high tourist area's. So happy you guy's got to go see it!❤ Happy Anniversary!! Oh and George!😂😂
Happy 16th Anniversary and Thanks for taking us on a tour of Hawaii. I'm glad you had a great and restful trip and look forward to future videos. God Bless and a Safe Trip Home.
IMO, The big island was my favorite. The Missiouri battleship was awesome. Road to Hana was great but I felt bad for the few locals who have to use the road(all the tourist made for a traffic nightmare for them). I was very impressed by all the irrigation channels along the coast on the road to Hana. I've been to Hawaii twice. Did all the tourist things the first trip. Didn't do any tourist things on the second trip. I liked my second trip way better!
Happy Anniversary you two!!!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 Welcome to Hawaii!🏝 Yes, Oahu (Honolulu/Wailiki) is crowded. There are one million people on an island 17 miles wide by 63 miles long, not exactly a lot of space. I have lived here for 30 plus years on Kauai, Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii (The Big Island). I recommend you go to Kaui, it is stunningly beautiful and very laid back. The island is about a 45 minute drive from end to end of the highway (depending upon traffic), but so much beauty to see. Definitely the most "Hawaiian" atmosphere of all the islands with some amazing waterfalls including the ones in the Jurassic Park movies. It's been a few years since I've been there, but I'm sure your travel agent can show you the popular destinations to see.😉 Here on the Big Island everything is much more rugged. This is the youngest and still active volcano, so not too many sandy beaches and a lot of driving in between destinations because it is approximately 300 miles around the entire island, thus it's name. No current active lava flows at the moment, but that does change from time to time. Hilo side has some fantastic waterfalls and scenery as well as Volcano National Park. Definitely plenty of adventures yet to have anywhere here in Hawaii. Mike, I'm not at all surprised you took the "Old Hana" section of the highway.😂 It is pretty spectacular, but some people don't exactly appreciate the thousand foot drops off the edge.🤣 It was a wise choice doing the tour way as first timers because you were able to focus on just enjoying your time here. Now that you have an idea about how the islands are it is much better to take your time and explore. Honestly, it really doesn't matter what island you are on (except Oahu), the island life is pretty much the same, each island has a unique style and feel, but all are interestingly familiar.😊 Happy Anniversary and Aloha!🏝🤙
Thank you both for sharing your anniversary trip to Hawaii. Yes, Maui is alot of people's favorite place/island to go for the very reasons you expressed. Thanks again for sharing!!! Happy Anniversary.
Never been there, don't know if I'll ever go, but would like to someday, but I'd like to go to the island where they have the big cattle ranch and ride a horse! Hope you had a Happy Re-Honey Moon! Great video! Thanks for sharing; Mike and Jenna! Lee
Thanks for sharing your trip, I hope you both had a great time with each other. And I love seeing the wife smile when she was excited about something during the trip. You both work very hard and deserve a break from life together, I agree the road trip was awesome and I think visiting Pearl Harbor would be my pick also. Thanks for bringing us along and sharing the highlights of your trip together.
Mrs Dirt your a great person to take us along on your trip. And for putting up with DP haha. Hope you and the family have a wonderful year and extra nice camping trips
I went in there in 1966 we tiped up on one wing and circled the volcano and landed at Hickam. AFB. Headed back to Okinawa off leave. Hitching rides. on cargo planes. Slept about 7 hours and headed for guam. Then up to Kadena AFB on Okinawa. A long ways from Indiana. Rides were easy. Everything that would fly was headed west hauling cargo. You two deserve the trip. Fantastic.. ENJOY... Bubba says he misses you. Wishes he was there.
The road to Hanna was one of my favorite spots to visit while visiting Hawaii. There was a local swimming hole along the road that wasn’t marked but lots of ppl swimming. It was quite the driving experience. Haleakala was prolly my favorite part of the whole Maui experience except for it being right when the island reopened after Covid and it was not crowded at all. Hope you didn’t try to bring home and black sand from the black sand beach, the guys at the airport aren’t too fond of that 😂.
25 yrs ago (this Dec), I made my first trip to Maui! Took a 2AM Sunrise and Bike Ride down Haleakalā and ended up at the beach in Lahaina for a beautiful sunset. Then enjoyed my underground pig roast, Took the Road to Hana and swam in the Oheʻo Gulch Pools, visited Īao Valley, and still had an opportunity to golf at Kaanapali! Only wish we drove the circle around Hana, but back then, the road was not even paved! I see Mike and you rented my car. Can't believe it was still there after all these years! 😂😂 Of course, had to stop at the Waiehu Beach Hotel (I'm sure DP snuck off to the nude beach down the block! 🤣🤣)! Brought back a lot of memories! Thanks for the revisit! Glad you had a great time!
If you have a rental car it still is a violation of your rental agreement to do the circle from Kihei to Hana or from Hana to Kihei. Not much to see either
thank you Mrs and mr dirt perfect for taking me along to hauweia, it is a long way from halifax Nova Scotia Canada were i live, but i very much enjoyed the trip, which i will never make in person as i am now near 85 and as a pensioner money is not that easy to get, but we are doing ok. and yes my wife and I have been married for 62 years and had two children we lost our son in 81 to a car accident and our 53 year old daughter still lives at Home, again thank you for the trip. xo Bob
We spent two week in Hawaii just a week ago! 3 nights on Oahu and then 10 nights cruising to Kahului (Maui), Hilo (Hawaii), and Nawiliwili (Kauai) before crossing the Pacific to Vancouver, Canada. One week ago today was our last full day on the Disney Wonder. Hawaii is such a beautiful place!
Happy Anniversary MR,MRS DP enjoyed tagging along ive been their twice and love the place ,Pearl Harbour was very moving .Have to say i expected to see Aaron pop out of a bush or something ,DP can relax good to see Kym Adelaide
The best way to see Hawaii is on a cruise. You get to see all the islands and still have the convenience of only un-packing and packing once, plus the food and entertainment is included onboard. Book your trips with the travel desk on the ship.
Enjoyed the island tours, Jenna, thank you for letting us tag along !!😁 No idea why the twisty road made you feel a bit queasy, George's voice should have soothed you 😂 We did look at visiting Hawaii back in September we couldn't make the flights work 😬 Happy anniversary for the end of April, that is the same date my parents were married too 😁 I presume you took Mike along as the camera operator 😂😂
I’ve been to Hawaii 5 times only spent one day in Honolulu just to see the Arizona. If I want to see A city and traffic I live 3 hours from New York City. I love Hawaii it has way more interesting places and 10 of the 11 climates and the active volcano. And is much more rural and just all around best. Kauai is nice too lots of interesting stuff there too and a lot of movie sights. glad you had a great time.
You are lucky that you had to go out there. It's a very enjoyable trip. I was able to go to Hawaii for my 71st birthday, but with 2 other couples, we rented a house on the big island and stayed there for 2 weeks and it's well worth it. I live in Florida, but it's much nicer in Hawaii. The blue wow I went to was fantast.Ic I hope you two were able to go 21

I love the thought of a Tour Ship to Hawaii
