Gracias. The park is very close to the promenade/beach. It's 1 minute walking distance, you jsut go down 50-100 meters, and you're on the beach. The old town.. that's another story. The old town is far away from the promenade and paloma park. And Arroyo de la miel. You need to take a bus, or a taxi. Not sure how far away it is, maybe 30 minutes to walk there. Maybe more.
Oh yes, you na sit or lie down. People usually bring a blanket and just sit down, relax, enjoy the sun. Some bring their chairs and tables, and have a whole picnic at the park.
