This is my favorite video from your channel!! You do a thorough job showing and explaining the baits you have had success with and even better that these baits you show in this video are unsponsored to you which shows me a genuine review of proven baits that work! I really like this video because you helped me to know what baits are best for catching crappie. I'm so used to using only minnows and now I know what to look for when I go to WM or Academy.
What an amazing video... So much GREAT INFORMATION. My goodness They ought to pay YOU to teach a crappie catching class.. i learned so much.. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH
Man, the way you talk about how good the keylime pie and hot chicken is, I'm getting hungry! 🤣I was just standing in Walmart last night looking to fill up my tackle bag. Guess I'm going back.
I'm learning, Liked and new subscriber. I need to master the jig, Definitely an art to jigging, most different that using a bobber or fishing on the bottom
Where are you? Our mountainous canyon reservoirs have great bass and trout fishing but some lakes have hella good crappie! But our Walmart stocks trout and bass tackle and just a few crappie baits.. looking at your Walmart makes me envious as hell..!! Here at end of May, crappie are just starting up into the shallows for spawn. They’re my favorite fresh water fish to eat.. by far!! Love your videos
Yes sir. I am in Texas. Crappie fishing is real popular in Texas, so the stores around here support that. I appreciate the support and thank you for watching! God bless

Love your videos! Just wondering if you keep your tubes and baits in their package or do you put them in a Plano box? I use Plano box and mineral oil (very little) to keep them fresh. Thanks
I have started leaving my jigs in the bag with the scents that come with them. Easier to organize and make more space for my bag/boat. Thanks for watching! God bless
hey im just getting into fishing kids like it i have been more of a hunter historically thanks for the tips and i really like this one bc i live just north of tyler so I feel you have more of the local knowledge
The pautzke crappie fireballs are my go to for scents. They are kind of a soft plastic. But they smell to high heaven. I’ve just put the fireballs on a plain jig head and caught many fish. I’m sold on them.
15:04 I cannot find those glitter/pearl tubes at any Academy or Bass Pro around me. I was going to order them online but Big Bite Baits wants more for shipping than my entire order. Where can I get these in DFW???
During winter in my area of eastern NC, you can't beat a plain ol unpainted double 1/32oz jighead rig with a pearl or black and chartreuse tube jig during summer/winter. There's something about that slow fall while drifting in the current that's drives crappie wild.
You southern anglers have it so much better in terms of retail selection. Walmarts up here in NY usually have sad fishing sections & let's not even talk about Academy. So wish we had 'em up here.
I got Bobby Garland jig, slab city jigs, Crappie magnets, Mr.Crappie jigs. That gives me the best possible chances of catching some really nice Crappie.
Dang man! I live in Oklahoma where they are made and they are like $.50 more here. I live maybe an hour from where they are based. Same thing with the nibbles
Man they should be spreading brother. Bonehead is local down here. But he is spreading out and putting his lures in major retail stores. I wouldn’t doubt if they make their way over there for sure.

I wouldn’t go as far to say fish are color blind. They may have a harder time seeing certain colors or pigments. And walleye are different than crappie brother. I have definitely seen color matter when crappie fishing. They are their own beast lol thanks for watching! God bless!
@@903fishing plenty of data out there....just google it....also if you're crushing them on blue theres plenty of other anglers out the killin em on 20 other different colors. Try Creme 1.5" shad in cream/white color, it has good tail end swimming action, the rest of stuff by bobby garland and others don't. The others work but they have absolutely no swimming action. In fact forget them all, just get that creme silver lipless crankbait. It will catch anything, one lure to does it all and it won't get destroyed. Save money.
We don’t use crank baits for crappie in Texas. Might accidentally catch one while bass fishing with a crank every now and then. I do love baits with paddle tails, like you said great action. Thanks for watching and commenting! God bless
Depend on how I am fishing. Casting, vertical jigging, jig and bobber etc. but I typically use 10# braid for everything. We fish heavy structure in Texas 90% of the time. If I am sick shooting or popping a jig off the bottom of the creek, it’s 6# mono! Thanks for watching! God bless!
I like Bobby Garland baits but they're too soft in my opinion. They only last 1 - 3 fish maybe. Also during the spring and summer trying to find anything fishing was impossible in my area. So I had to result in buying everything online.
I definitely agree with some of the things you said brother. However, this video was to reach people that went to go to Walmart and academy to buy their baits. But definitely agree with that brother
If you want the baits to last 4-6 fish at least try cutting off the baitholder spikes on the jig heads (you can do with with nail clippers) and dabbing some gorilla or krazy glue around the jig before putting on the soft plastic. I find that that baitholder spike compromises the bait right off the bat by spreading it too much
