I ALWAYS say, London consumes the soul and steals the heart, memories made are a life time of happiness revisited! I love you visited the back streets to see the real London, safe, clean and charming ❤❤❤❤😂
London definitely did just that! The back streets were the best! Really want to explore more of East London next time ☺️
If you come again try to have 2/3 days away from London visitColchester 1 hour from Liverpool St station Britain oldest Roman settlement once capital England, on way back go Epping Forest, go to seaside resort perhaps Brighton, visit Blackheath and National Maritime museum. Day by train to somewhere like Ely or Winchester all reached by train
@@PhillipDavison-iy2gh thank you for all of these recommendations!
@@chelcurated you would love Brighton
l've heard you say it. We've all heard you say it. ln fact we're fed up of you saying it on an endless loop.
London is diverse in its architecture and "Feel" because it is a collection of small towns and Villages that have been swallowed up by London over many years.
Around a 100 + years ago, places like Hampstead were considered as living in the countryside .
Oh wow, that is really cool to know! Now it makes sense why the architecture is so diverse. Thank you for sharing this. ☺️
So glad you made the most of your London visit, seeing so many photogenic, fascinating areas a little off the tracks most beaten by tourists, and eating some things other than burgers and fizzy soft drinks. I wish you all the best for future explorations!
My algororithm decided to pop you up and so glad it did! This was such a refreshing change from the usual 'North Americans in London' video. I'm British and have been to London on countless occassions, but have never found the incredible, historical, 'off-the-beaten-track' places you seemed to have discovered in your short time there. You can clearly see why North London is the home of the rich and famous! Kudos to you for your exploration and willingness to try so many things as a lone (female) traveller.
Thank you so much! North London was jaw dropping everywhere I looked - that area was definitely a highlight of the trip! ☺️
Bangers and mash and walking with an inside out brolly in the rain, you’re basically a Londoner already. Great vid, doing London like a local, hope you get to visit again soon. 👍🇬🇧
Don't know you and your video just appeared on RUclips.... yet, here I am, watching the whole video.. Very nice to see the UK in not just the typical touristy spots! Great Vlog. Thanks for taking us along with you!
I was a little nervous for you at first too! How brave and resilient you are! I love as the days passed, one could actually see your joy abound! All the walking you did is the truest way to experience a city. Good on you! I first landed in London as an international flight attendant/purser many years ago. I remember the thrill of making my way through the city; gaining confidence each layover. Turns out, I ended up getting a two year route from the states to London twice a week. Such a wonderful experience and part of the best times of my life… so far. 😄 ✈️ I hope you keep traveling as it’s an education in people and places that even the best books can’t quite offer.
You’re a very nice girl and you are most welcome to my hometown.
Next time you come, definitely check out Pie n Mash with liquor.
My fave is Harringtons in Tooting opposite the market (you’ve probably noticed we love our markets in England) but that’s on the end of the northern line.
Well worth it though.
Camden Lock on Sundays is always worth a visit.
Sweet video. Always interesting to see what tourists make of my home city. Glad you enjoyed it. As others said, it's good that you got off the main tourist spots. I have lived here for more than 30 years and still find new things frequently - partly because the city is always changing and evolving. The riverbus on the Thames was an excellent choice. Hampstead is an interesting area. At least 3 museums and of course the Heath, with Kenwood House (free to visit - exterior seen in the film 'Notting Hill' - and there are concerts with fireworks in the summer). The Heath is amongst my favourite places in London for a walk - looks stunning in any season. As you could see from the sign, it is one of the green spaces run by the City of London (the Square Mile i.e. the financial district) so we benefit from that without it costing anything in taxes. The City also looks after Epping Forest North East of London, which is the remnant of a very old forest and includes the remains of a prehistoric hill fort (it has wild deer too). Next time you visit the UK, I recommend you go outside London and visit Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Bath and/or York (to start with). London before Christmas can be lovely too. I think that AirBnB adds to the housing problem in London but it's not the biggest factor and I would be a hypocrite to complain because I have used it a few times in other cities.
Aww I love your vlog. So beautiful and well presented. I visited London myself twice so far and when you say: I don't want to leave at about 50 minutes in the video I'm really getting tears in my eyes because I know the feeling exactly and it resonates s much. Thank you for sharing your journey ❤😊
Thank you so much! 🥹❤️ The hardest part is leaving. I hope you’ll be able to visit London again soon!
One of the best London vlogs I've seen !
Thank you very much!
Really enjoyed your video and you got great filming/editing skills. Especially loved the Hampstead Heath section with the music and the framing of the shots. You have the ability to convey an atmosphere. For me this is one of the best if not the best Trip/vlog videos I have seen of London.
Aww thank you so much for this lovely comment. This has made my day. 💙
Totally agree.
@@geoffmelvin6012 aww thank you!! ☺️
Just watched this, and I must say it was very well edited. The sound was excellent, especially the Mozart when you were on Hampstead Heath, as well as the passing conversations that made it seem so real. getting out into the back streets in London will always provide wonderful surprises. If you do get back to the UK, I can really recommend getting out into the wider places in UK. the National Parks are a good place to centre a trip on.
I REALLY enjoyed that, thank you for taking it and posting on RUclips 🙂
Thank you for watching!! ☺️
Thank you , thank you , thank you for showing what a fantastic city London is.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Your particular style kept me engrossed all the way through. Thank you.
Thank you so much! ☺️
It's really nice that you enjoyed my country ! You seem such a sweet person !! And hopefully you'll be back where you can make some more memories !! Keep well 👍
Love your vlog so much❤and I Miss London so much, hope to get there soon again❤
Enjoyed your blog, I live near Newcastle in the north of England. My daughter, her partner and my grandson (13) live in north London. A train journey for me to London is 3 hours, gives you a perspective of the size of the U.K.
Hope you come back again, a lot more to see in the UK than London.
Good to see you going outside the well trodden paths of your compatriots! Lots more to see north and south of the Thames.
Who goes South of the river???

People that want to visit Greenwich?, People that want to visit the National Maritime Museum?, People that want to visit the Royal Observatory?, People that want to visit the Globe Theatre?, People that want to go to a concert at the Southbank Centre?, people that want to visit Borough Market?, people that want to visit London's last Coaching inn, The George, from the 17th Century?, People that want to visit Kew Gardens?, People that want to visit the Tate Modern?, People that want to visit Wimbledon Village, and Wimbledon Common?, and maybe see some Tennis in late June and early July?, And on and on and on. So, quite a few, don't you think?.
Sad to see you go, please come back again soon & explore some of the other beautiful places to see, maybe get to the coast in Dorset or Cornwall, you won’t be disappointed & you can get there by train easily enough from London
I see Watkins bookshop at 9:32 - an excellent choice, especially the second hand section downstairs
Nice bit of videography here out in the more attractive London inner suburbs, eschewing a lot of the more touristy bits. The paths less travelled can be pretty pleasant!
Thank you! ☺️
This was great and how sweet of you to say you didn't want to leave
What a lovely video.Well done. You’ve shown me parts of London I haven’t seen for 50+ years….forgotten how nice London is when you get away from the usual very busy tourist areas.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Where was brought up in Whetstone N London wasnt on the ordnance map😂.. was a tiny place... Kenwood House and tea garden my favourite part of Hampstead, hope you enjoyed your time.. glad you made it via the flights! ❤ Have been solo traveller for yrs now but still get jitters for first few hours then fine..😊 Excellent portrayal of London best have seen and so well lit.
Thanks so much! 🥰 I’ve heard of Kenwood House! Will have to visit there and the tea garden next time - sounds lovely. ☺️
I absolutely love this vid from start to finish.. Brilliantly edited and the music was perfect and not too loud and your camera work slow scrolling was bang on... You would be most welcome to come back anytime to our lovely country... Well done again..👍p.s did you enjoy the real ale ? if so it makes you a half Brit.😄
For me as a french viewer, its the best vidéo of an american tourist, you are a fantastic and courageous Lady alone in London without Friends, congrats .
This is so sweet. Thank you very much!
A subtle and reflective travelogue ...great to watch. Around the 50 minute mark (on a wet & rainy Primrose Hill ) and you say you don't want to leave ... very touching. Travel can be very seductive and maybe London has beguiled you ... like it does to so many. But ... like every city it's not all a bed of roses as I'm sure you know. Hope to 'see' you back here and recording a few more vlogs. And I'm sure you'd find plenty of similar minded souls very happy to partner you on your travels here in London & the UK... who knows, through life itself... then you could stay for lot longer than 6 months. 😉
This is one of the best London vlogs I’ve seen. Well done for making me home sick. ❤
Thank you very much! ☺️
Never thought i would watch this to the end but i did thanks to your video editing of some great videos and photo shots and the sound track choices made it very atmospheric, well done excellent vlog......
This makes me happy to hear! Thank you for watching - I’m glad you enjoyed it! ☺️
Great Vlog, so refreshing to see a side of London others never show. You’ve inspired me to leave the USA for the first time and visit the UK!
This makes me so happy to hear. ☺️ Exploring outside of the US is such an adventure - & the UK is a great place to start!
Well done, you have seen some of london behind the tourist traps.
You also show what others are missing.again bravo👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Ps i'm afraid rain is part of the london experience😅❤
And you are welcome back anytime❤
Thanks so much!! ☺️
I think you’re pretty brave travelling solo / takes a real solid mentality to do that - well done - was a great video too (from a Londoner whose not been to half the places you visited😃😄)
nice to see you back in london
Thank you, it was great to be back!
Delightful individual. Delightful video. Thank you. I can see the lure of London but as others have posted you would enjoy other places. I wish you all the very best whatever you do x.
Thank you so much! ☺️
What a beautiful trip you created for yourself!!!
Aww, thank you Majken!! It was such a great experience! How was your trip to Ireland? 😍
perfect;))@@chelcurated
@@chelcuratedEnjoyed this video very much, come back soon,
Great video, excellent quality, very inventive photography alongside beautiful music... nice work 👏 👌 Love from the UK 🇬🇧 👏 👍 Shame about the weather 😊 and the creaky picture board 😆
Thanks so much!! ☺️
Just watched your solo London vlog. Very enjoyable, many thanks for your insights and enthusiasm.
Thanks so much!
You would really enjoy parts of Yorkshire, Haworth, York, Richmond, Staithes, Whitby etc. if you like the old buildings and narrow streets.
Enjoyed this. I've lived in London 20 years and still haven't seen everything there is to see.
You can go south london to a similar park and see london from the opposite whay and view thats how big london is as a london cabbie its the most bizarre and greatest city on earth 🌎
Great to witness you exploring beyond the familiar routes of your peers! There's a wealth of discoveries both north and south of the Thames. Consider adding convenience to your journey with Express Parking.
Definitely need to see more south of the Thames next time! Thank you for the tip! ☺️
brava!! beautiful city, clever music, you deserve a million views, I hope you get them
That is so sweet. Thank you so much!! ☺️
Beautifully shot, I felt like I was there.
Hope you're having a nice time or had a nice time in London.
Thank you! I’m missing it already!
Loved your blog. As a Brit who enjoys his trips to the States, I feel that you didn't comment about how safe London is compared to some of the No gun carrying cops. Look how easy it was for you to walk around without hearing constant sirens.
Thank you! This is so true, I did feel so much safer walking the streets in London compared to US cities.
Great video and so glad you had an enjoyable time. Hope you do a British food tasting again soon
Thanks so much! ☺️
I really enjoyed your video. I'm an x pat English guy. Living in New Zealand now. I miss the English ways. I hope that you get the opportunity to go to England again. X
Oh wow, you are definitely far from home! Thank you so much for watching ☺️
Hi i don't usually leave a comment but i felt i had to,this was the best London visit vlog I've seen,so creative and professional, has a brit i hope we treated you well keep up the excellent work
Thanks so much for such a lovely comment. I appreciate it! ☺️
Thank you for this - really relaxing & enjoyable to watch in my down time. Glad it randomly appeared in my recommended as it's very different than most, which was refreshing 👍
Subbed & liked to please the algorithm to put you into others view 🤣
Thank you so much!! 🙈☺️
Really nice video. Love the look around London. Thanks for sharing this from a new subscriber 👍❤️🙏
Thank you so much! ☺️
As a Londoner, I appreciate this video.
Thank you!
Never get the Burger at Nandos - Get the chicken wrap with halloumi :) So good to see that you saw the 'real' London.. this is why I love living here! (NOT because of the touristy zone 1)
Thank you for this tip! The burger was underwhelming to say the least - I’ll have to try the chicken wrap with halloumi next time. ☺️
Would you recommend the AirBNB that you stayed in? It is hard to find decent living that is not a hotel. Looks like you had a really solid solo trip:)
Great editing, lovely video but the “sausage rolls” looked like Cornish Pasties; they do great sausage rolls at Borough Market !
By far the quickest way to Heathrow from Central London is on the Elizabeth Line or the Heathrow Express though they cost more than the slower Tube.
Thank you for the helpful tips! Will have to try a sausage roll at Borough Market next time!
@@chelcurated 👍
A fabulous INSIGHT
Really enjoyed the video. Its a shame the weather was so bad.. It was one of the worst summers for a few years.
Thank you so much! I’ve heard about that. Hopefully next year you’ll have a proper summer!
Even made a decent cup of tea, didn’t complain about the weather and only briefly mentioned Harry Potter - are you sure you’re American ? Lovely vid.
Must be British at heart. 😆 Thank you!!
15:58 such a sweet moment!
Just came across this and I'd echo the comments. Loved your video, just pottering around a lot of the less touristy spots. Hurry back, you made London look more appealing to a Yorkshireman.
London is the perfect spot for a solo trip! I went recently with my bf but would totally go back myself ❤ I want to do a solo trip this year - any other countries you were deciding between?
This is a great presentation,Well done.
Thank you so much!
I Loved everything just fantastic.
Thank you so much!
Really good vlog, video. You seem like such a beautiful person also.
Aww.. that is so sweet. Thank you so much. ☺️
@@chelcurated my pleasure
You may have ordered a sausage roll but that looks more like a Cornish Pasty
Of??
It is very clean
Great video - thanks!
Thank you!
Thoroughly enjoyed that vid. Nice one. Come back soon.
Thank you! ☺️
I'm glad you enjoyed London, if you come back to the UK do venture outside of London, (Stonehenge, Bath, The Cotsdwolds, Brighton, Canterbury, Dover are all day trips). Many Americans seem to find that despite eating a lot actually lose weight. Also, I'm glad you enjoyed the food, it's a myth that the food here is bland and boring - these days we do better, and London is such a multi-cultural place you can get food from so many places around the world, but the staples of "Bangs & Mash" and "Fish & Chips" the only (or even the best), we have to offer.
"Bangs" and Mash? What's that? You mean bangers (sausages) and mash.
Hi I love your video really calm and shows London in a good light. Come back for a year get a job and you can explore a bit more the UK and Europe easy to travel to. There's a good work life balance in the UK with holidays and healthcare. It's only a short time in your whole of your life and you can have some great experiences and memories take care until your next trip. Cockney Bob. ⚒⚒💋💋
Thank you! ☺️ I would love to work and live there. This is definitely something I will be looking into!
You should've called me, would've loved to have shown you the real London and some of it's hidden gems 😊
Iv been to many cities over the world...but London beats then all ...thats not me being bias..as I'm from England.....it just is !!! ..
Fact ,..many of my American and Canadian friends...can't get enough...of the history of this place 😂...to us its not that interesting..but to them ..its like stepping back in time ,

Wow that bus window at 13 minutes was so clean for a split second I thought it was drone footage.
They must have cleaned the windows that day. 😆
@@chelcurated must of its not often they are that clean unfortunately
Love number 1 to travel by train thanks .
Go to York. Amazing
You should come over here and work and live for a while, see if it changes your opinion or cements it further 😊
Really enjoyed your video, it's obvious you love London so you should try and get to experience it for longer while you're young enough
Thank you so much! I would absolutely love to experience working and living over there. Until then - longer trips ☺️
Top Tip, split these vlogs in to smaller sections, it will lead to higher subs- wanting more, and much much more views overall ❤❤❤ great work
This is a really helpful tip. Thank you!! 🥰
Great to see you posting regularly again, looks like you had a great time. I would suggest going away from London though. The UK is the most beautiful country in the world of you go look for it
Other places in the UK are definitely on the list! I really want to visit Bath, Cotswolds, Cornwall, and Edinburgh during my next trips. If you have any other recommendations I’d love to hear them!
@@chelcuratedI recommend going to the Lake District in the North West, and coming up the North East where I'm from. There's a beautiful city close to me called Durham you should try 🤙
@@scottcrosby-art5490 thank you for the recommendations! I’ve heard of Lake District before, but not Durham - going to look it up! ☺️
It is good that she got to see some of the 'real' London though, people so often just visit the touristy areas in zone 1.
Nice video though if a Briton asks you to make them a " black tea" it means they do not want milk in it lol. On your next trip if you stay in London you can easily do day trips by train to Bath, Canterbury, St.Albans- all historic places.

I was worried about some of the back alleys and parks you visited on your own / just take care won’t you
Really enjoyed watching your video. Thought you caught the genuine atmosphere of London rather than the usual cliched shots of the awful Leicester Square
Thank you!! ☺️
With all these US tourists videos they never seem to leave West End area never go into city which is seperate from London bounded by walls ie. Square mile Aldgate, Moorgate, Ludgate. Aldersgate
You are a thoughtful soul. You belong in London. I can tell from what you film. You didn’t find the Ladies’ Swimming Pond though. That’s on purpose. You’re not supposed to find it.
Aww.. Thank you so much! ☺️ That is one thing I didn’t end up finding - hopefully I’ll stumble upon it next time.
