This is one of my favourite songs of all time!
日本語で歌詞聞くと、「地球を抱く」とか「太古の爆破の子らとして（ビックバンにより生まれた存在として）」とかいう感じの歌詞があります。
なので「母」は宇宙規模の何か壮大な存在のことと考えられます
A bit late to comment on the vid, still. Mother is actually a song written and composed in collaboration between Susumu Hirasawa and Yuko Miyamura, the voice actress of Asuka from Evangelion, possibly inspired by that role or several she did at the time. There's a version of it sang by her too. Hirasawa worked on several projects, which eventually rose him to fame thanks to the composition works and licensing of his work for cult anime like Berserk and Paprika.
She was also Casca in Berserk!
Hirasawa is one of those musicians who has a truly unique sound, imo. I have yet to really find anyone whose music sounds quite like his

この曲はベルセルク1997でキャスカを演じた宮村優子の為に書かれた曲です。恐らくは人として産まれ落ちることが許されなかったガッツとキャスカの子供が母を想う歌なのだと思います
