They have one model that can deal 50 damage, and zombies (the weakest unit) have 120 models that can do 18. Even if they had 200 melee attack (almost guaranteed hits), they wouldn't be able to kill much.

It's because of splash attacks - they hit 4 enemies per hit, this spreads damage and knocks down entities. New fresh entities take place of knocked ones and this repeats

I think Kemmler's follower, The Ravenous Dead (16hp p/s regen for Zombies) was handily outhealing the entire army. They'd only do damage to them once they hit the regen cap.
Okay, so the absolute best I can say about this stack is that they make a passable meat shield for the Fey Enchantress to cast her spells from behind. Like, not a good meat shield but they have some physical resistance which she can boost, high leadership, non trivial hitpoints and passable melee defense. And as single entities they are moderately resistant to friendly fire when you drop a dwellers below on them. That is the most positive spin I can put on this awful doomstack.

i did not expect a unit with 48 44 stats do so so poorly... they are a support unit but they should have done better. but i think the ghouls poison effect also played a role in lowering their damage output. also loved the skaven voice legend at 9:11
For the lore the Fay enchantress decided to purge the undead and was accompanied by 19 paladin unfortunately they encountered a horrible accident with a rock a donkey and a sack of potato resulting in the loss of 8 paladin, later 1 of them got run over by a deer, then 5 more fell to a devilish trap made by some goblins consisting in a sign with « FRE GREEL » written on and a goblet full of an unknown purple brown mixture, 1 more perished after challenging a passing mercenary ogre to a fist fight shouting « TAKE A TASTE OF THE LAAAAAAAHRG!! » the remaining 4 run to the Fay for help but 3 fell in a sneaky pond and drowned, the last paladin bravely decided to just go home but after 10 footsteps he got run over by another deer who wanted to avenge his brother’s death earlier on. By that time the Fay enchanteress finished her afternoon nap and saw the situation. Initially wanted to come back but remembered that she had already used all the « purge » fond in skin care, not wanting to get arrested for fraud she convinced some peasants to accompany her by calling them chosen ones of a prophecy stating that they « shall kill undead for free » and made them carry the dead paladin. Once they arrived they tried to use their chosen power to kill the undead unfortunately their stares only defeated a few of them (this undead had just brittle bones from their past malnutrition and fell apart walking) finally the Fay blasted everything and left for a spa leaving our dear Henrich confused and the most useless dreadknights ever.
Imagine Kemmler being told about this attack: Wight: Sir, the enemy is attacking. The Faye Enchantress leads them. But her forces are... Kemmler: Finally, I shall destroy Bretonnia's feeble Enchantress. What force did she bring? The mighty knights errant? The Saintly Grail Knights? King Louens personal hippogryph knights perhaps? Surely only the greatest will be sent to challenge the Lichemaster. Wight: Well...it appears that she brought a few peasants who seem to be carrying the corpses of knights. Kemmler: What? Does the Faye Enchantress dabble in my own art of necromancy? Are the peasants empowered by their god or armed with some sort of weapon? Wight: No sir, they seem to be just regular peasants and ordinary corpses. Kemmler: (´・_・`)
Shouldn't there be a differentiation between a generic stack where you have simply an army full of one thing or whatever, and a Doomstack that really is Doom?
Technically, doomstack can be just one unit spam (War Mammoth stack), but it's better if the unit in question is actually supported by buffs provided by lord/other characters.
Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure that the buff grants works by granting a positive status effect and that a unit can not be subject to the same status effect (good or bad) multiple times simultaneously. Since Grail Reliques also grant the same status effect to themselves and not just their allies, the only person getting the status effect is the lord and she is only getting one instance of it. So the stack is even more useless than it might seem at first glance.

Lore-wise, it is outragious that the FE does more damage to the enemy around her than Skrolk. The archplague priest is a walking cauldron of disease, but is aura of pestilence perk just lower enemy melee attack. Hope they give him mortis engine debuff someday.
I ally-recruited some of these bad boys in Warhammer 3 recently and I can safely say that parading a dead foreign hero is about as inspiring to my Norscans as you’d expect.
A really good doom stack i have found early game is harpie doom stack for the new dark elf faction. I tend to get lucky with a few strong single units then spam out harpies. This is mainly for my second lord around turn 20 that im just using to attack and raid shit high elfs that get close as they rely on archers but harpie have vanguard
On unrelated topic, do Grail Relics buff foot squires enough to make them okayish infantry? Or wasting a slot for each 2 slots of squires ruins it anyway?
They at least didn't seem to take damage too quickly. . . Maybe they could be used to hold the line themselves with an artillery based army? Like you use Thanes in a dwarven army just. . . worse.

Grail Reliquaes should be buffed to give extra charge bonus in their radius. That way they act as a focus point for knights to charge in as well.

When the doomstack is so bad it doesn't even qualify as a doomstack.
That big congestion at the gate is actually one case where Flock of Doom will straight up do more damage than Dwellers below. This is rare.
