Crazy? I was crazy once, they locked me up in a padded room. I died. The flowers grew up, the flowers grew down. The water ran down my nose. It just me nuts. Nuts? I like nuts. Except for the salty kind. They drive me crazy.
I used to work with this girl and we happened to take the same bus to get there. Sometimes, we would meet and talk for a bit. She was such a relaxed person, there was a stillness about her, it made me very curious. Aparently she had a great relationship with her parents, wasn't a particularly anxious person. She was very pretty and confident yet treated everyone the same, very politely. I can count on one hand how many times I met people like that.

I had a lucid dream that I could control. It was so realistic and pleasant until I couldn't wake myself from it. I perfectly knew I was in a dream but not being able to wake myself from it at the end made it scary. When I finally concentrated on the real world sounds around me I woke myself up, but it did mess me up mentally for a few days.

Man, speaking of peaches- There's this truck that comes through my city straight from Georgia selling the best peaches I've ever had in my life. Sits in the parking lot of a certain outdoor mall west of Dallas. Sells whole crates of peaches straight out the back of the semi! Only peaches I've ever had that made me genuinely want more. Aaaand now I want them again ;-;

Long time listener, first time commenter. The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes!!! On the one hand cannot believe you referenced the theory posited in one of my favorite paradigm-shifting books, and on the other hand your material is across the board and well-informed enough that it doesn't surprise me at all. You should totally read the book if you can parse through several hundred pages of decently dry psychoanthropology tho -- it really slaps. Makes ya think. Contextualizes a lot of human behavior in a fascinating way. Thanks for squishing my peach head, too 🍑👍
