Sabu is definitely not a talker, lol. But, it makes his answers short and straight to the point. He doesn't bullshit
..or he bullshit, but doesn't use many words to do it.
@@jonathanturbide2232 that makes no goddamn sense
I don't blame sabu. You aren't being paid to talk precisely like you are delivering a promo. It's an interview
@@jayhollows5729 exactly
Who wants short, to the point answers if you're a listener? We want stories and details
Sabu is the most underrated and underappreciated wrestler ever in my opinion
Listening to him, he's certainly not underrated in his mind. Created ecw and changed wrestling apparently.
LMAO not by a long shot. Come on.
Time seems to go by quick during Sabu's interviews.
I agree
Too good
Lol..true
Was thinking exact same
Because he doesn't go in depth on anything
That is a fact. Sabu didn't need to do Talking promos. He can connect just by arriving. I love the mystic of Sabu. I actually wanted to see Sabu wrestler Undertaker back in the Day . ECW prime (The real one that use to be on at 1 A.M)
That's the ECW I miss. I caught by accident the first time I watched it.
Him telling ppl how Vince made wrestlers Choreograph matches explains the Bel Air Alexa match being scary movie move for move
“Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you should do it.” That’s great advice for any up and coming wrestler
That sounded like good life advice when I heard it
@@deewolfpack304 facts
It's not tho. Because then you just end up another big guy lumbering around the ring like great Khali. Vader and bam bam Bigelow got over because they did so much in the ring. Nowadays guys like luchasaurus and Lance archer are over as hell because even tho they're big they can still move like a junior heavyweight. Sabu's thinking may have worked in the past, but no longer. Wrestling fans demand more from the matches. It only works like how sabu thinks because Vince McMahon is an idiot and will pay a guy like omos way more for alot less work than he would pay Leon ruff who is 5x the wrestler omos is. Simply because omos is big. It's stupid and archaic.
This is so true. Good advice for a lot of the guys these days. Keep trying to one up each other with crazy ass moves too often has the potential to ruin the idea of it being a competitive match instead of a choreograph fight. Don’t get me wrong there all incredible athletes but it dents the character a bit if the moveset is just like a guy half your size or double your size.
Sabu impressed me with how well he explains this stuff
@@pabloamador667 even as the business changes there are still bits of the old school that you can use to great effect. you just have to pick the right spots to do them. It’s great to have a big guy that can fly but if everybody does it all the time, how is it special or unique? Sabu had it right.
I never realized how much of a real class act Sabu is... What a legend! 🙂
It’s so surreal to hear him speak. He’s a madman in the ring and a thoughtful and insightful person out of it.
The more you know, am I right!? 🙂
talks like he's missing a few brain cells.
sabu is 100% on point with his move set looked like he should do it. his character is one of the best for that, like from all angles the character makes sense, feels real, and can convince you.
Sabu didn't fit in in WWE. That is a knock on WWE. Sabu took pride in his work
Well he only signed a one year contract with wwe and left after it expired. Didn’t plan on staying for a long term
Sabu's match with Taz at Barely legal got me hooked.
Love hearing Sabu. Wishing all the best post-retirement.
Sabu's right, Chris Jericho's powerbombs always looked like shit.
I legitimately thought he did not speak english when I was in high schooschool. Well done man.
One of the coolest things about listening to Sabu apart from his knowledge of the business is that everything he says is deliberate.
One of the smartest answers I ever heard before.
Former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion.Sabu
Sabu at the icp live shows was epic!
Sabu is right when he says big guys shouldn’t do high flying moves… look what happened to Sid’s leg back in WcW
Funny thing ... Sabu has a genuine personality ...but not much of a talker...but a wonderful story teller . Time flies when he speaks.
Sabu didn’t need an angle, he could tell a story completely in the ring!
Sabu has ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF MY 3 FAVORITE WRESTLERS!!! Ever since I was a like 7 & got to watch ECW cause we lived in JERSEY I was hooked.
Sabu undestands ( physiology )!!!
Man I shoulda learned how to wrestle fully before we(Forsaken and me) started goin on the road. I started out as Venom back in '98-99. Sabu speaks truth ❤❤❤
Sabu is the most original wrestler to pop up in a longtime . Everything he brought to the table was different .He changed the game by just being him . Who would have ever thought breaking tables would be a staple of EVERY wrestling show on earth now when he started doing it ? And that is only a small fraction of what made Sabu different . I could write a fn essay !
Sabu excellent Wrestler and a genuine man
Abyss......such an amazing talent. So so underrated.
I knew it! What Sabu said about every aspect of the match being choreographed now. That explains all the ridiculous spots that look half botched. Kick misses and the opponent still falls etc. The worst is when they miss the move and then get up and do it again! No wonder there's no real stars in WWE, you can't become a star following an exact script.
2 of my favorite people to watch do interviews Sabu and new jack. They always tell it straight no bullshit and no politics just real conversation
Sabu didn't have a lot to say about every topic, but he had a lot to say about Abyss. Seems like he really likes the guy.
Sabu won't look at the camera he looks down at the ground.
Sabu is truly a wrestling genius dude understands the business inside and out I love the mindset about his moveset
Man I know it’s their responsibility but shame on some of these companies not taking care of their wrestlers I remember sabu and perry Saturn needing surgery and no money to get it done perry ended up homeless I get it the drugs the pain killers etc but dame these people brought in a bunch of money for you take care of them at least offer help
Sabu is real Hardcore ECW and Legend and thx for putting your body everything on the line and scars brother
Abyss is by far the nicest guy I've ever wrestled. He and his wife are absolute genuine good people
Facts... I hate calling a whole match... I like to setup spots and play by ear... Hate the choreographed shit!!!
So damn true . How many wrestlers can you think of who never said a word , got as over as SAbu did ? Yeah Abdullah and Sheik . But modern times in the last 25 to 30 years , who else ?
In all these interviews I never hear ANYONE say anything bad about Abyss. Seems like everyone liked working with him and he as a person
Argubably the greatest Ecw star
Him and RVD in my opinion
When I think about how much my introversion has closed doors in my life, it makes it that much more impressive that Sabu achieved so much in a business that's so much about persona.
It warms my heart to know that Sabu and the late New Jack were real friends. Both really gave their soul and bodies for the business in ways that only those two men could.
After a while I had to hide from him 😂
It looked like he was stoned by the way he was answering he questions. He was hyper focused on the question and and was the only thing he was concentrating deeply on.Then I see him rip a pen and was like Ah haaa!!
Love Sabu man... I was born in 99, i remember watching ECW tapes that my brothers burned Live & watched all of Sabus insane matches when I was like 6-10 years old.. all of the old ECW matches with him were insane. And even the years forward. Sabu connected so much to the audience.. I used to be terrified of him😂 in a good way
After the Monday night wars..nobody could think on there feet in wwe
You can tell how shy he is, he makes no eye contact
Did I misunderstand him about having more matches in TNA than in ECW?! It says he had 367 in ECW but only 55 in TNA (Impact) on cagematch
I think he meant WWE’s version of ECW
Sabu Vs Abyss was a top 3 all time feud in TNA Without a doubt
I was never a big wrestling fan but I did have my favorites and Sabu is #1 and Superfly were the only wrestlers I really liked. Although 20 years apart or maybe 25 years they’re the only two wrestlers I actually went down to South Philly to see ever……….
Great wrestler, I loved his matches with rvd
Rip genie
Sabu is one of the few wrestlers that I can think of along with Undertaker and possibly Bret Hart who wouldn’t bullshit you 99% of the time. Bret might be a stretch but it’s more than 50%
Brett was a huge bullshitter lol. He still til this day doesn't admit the screw job was a work.
I loved when TNA was new. They were awesome for several yrs. Abyss was awesome. Again, just another example of wwe ruining something great.
Sabu 4 Life 💪☯️ rip New Jack
Fxxk Sabu.. He likes xalling people the n word.. if he EVER calls me one your favorite wrestler going be immortalized INSTANTLY😂Old dusthead
He's a decent guy but talking is definitely his weakness, so he's very smart to play to his strengths.
exactly it was a great decision to never speak and to also refuse WWE when they asked him to
"My uncle always said I was special."
Special.
This is the second interview I’ve seen Sabu do while wearing a shirt with Melissa on it… Kinda sweet, but also kinda heartbreaking.
Like 5 dabs in ....😂😭😂😭😂😭
awesome
Imagine Abyss in ECW
Legend!
Hardcore was the last mans way to work, says the nephew of The Sheik. Fair enough.
lol SAbu seems well spoken and actually chill, whyd i think he was some anti social asshole lunatic full of anger.
Abyss needs an AEW contract not Joe parks
Where is he looking as he speaks ?? looks nervous
He said he's shy.
Smoking trees and listening to different clips of this shoot. Not a bad day
Remember Abyss was Big Over here in Puerto Rico before TNA
Sabu! You are so cool. I’m sorry she passed. Where can we get the shirt?
A top favorite of mine. It was awesome to see you ringside in Modesto CA
Glued to these Title Match interviews.
This is why wwe is going under they look like robots
I always loved Sabu and his matches
Get your guest some water lol
Always felt better about myself after watching Sabu wrestle,
must tell my therapist about that one day, but, maybe not ;-)
Growing up watching him on TV, it's great to hear his POV years later.
Wwe sounds annoying, that you have to practice your entire big matches.
He says more in one or two sentences than most Interview. it takes 5 minutes for bischoff or prichard to say "in don't know."
Sabu and abyss were the 2 I looked out for most whilst I was watching a lot of WWE. Love them both
I bet you had a hard time watching out for abyss
My boy Dani cotton mouth to much OxyContin
Sabu needs his own Podcast... dude is BEYOND interesting and provocative
I love Sabu but I would never in my life ask to hit his weed pen
He irish Lebanese
Was hoping the interviewer asked him about barbed wire massacre but he didn’t but I’m glad Sabu says that was his favorite match at the end of the video
By God if sabu wasn't a kicc ass person inside n outside of the ring I'm glad he is still here !!
is it me or does the interviewer sound like don callis?
Yeah he does..i noticed that too
#SabuIsTheMan
He needs to have the move set conversation with Luchasaurus.
Luchasaurus is an athletic monster. Screw what sabu says or thinks.
Never makes eye contact.
Tough badass 🤘🏼🔥☠🔥
Sabu is SO ON POINT...!!! About how wrestling is like watching "stuntmen" instead of actual wrestling. The storylines are horrible, the way the WWE has turned pro wrestling into a friggin cirque du soleil show. And it's the MAIN reason i don't watch it anymore. The only folks that are keeping pro wrestling what it is and should be . Are Japan, Mexico, and Europe. Pro wrestling here in the states has gone too shit and then some. With the exception of AEW which is trying VERY VERY HARD too bring "roots" back into this business. I TRULY hope they succeed and put more heat on the WWE to get back to what it's all about.
Love his super genie shirt
What about his mannerism here, is he watching the interviewer on a pad on the table?
yes a laptop
Had to cut it off. Love Sabu but there’s one thing I can’t do and that’s look at spit build up on your mouth while you talk
Exactly.
It's an old person thing. Plus he's probably got dry mouth lol
Awesome Wrestler... Cant talk, scrambled eggs from all the chair shots.
It’s distracting that Sabu looks at the ground during the interview.
Finally he just said what was true this now a days hardcore wrestling is a short cut instead of working and learning the business anybody can bust a dude i the head with halogen bulbs thumb tacks all the garbage wrestling it's ok on occasion but it's just stupid now and uneccassary
Dammit I can't finish watching it because of that spit on his lip. Had to put my head down and listen
That dry mouth lol. He's probably got weed in that vape lol
@@darrellwilliams1714 he definitely does lol.
I get what he's saying about bigger guys shouldn't be jumping and rolling around like cruiserweights because it takes away from guys his size but at the same time I don't agree with it because it's very entertaining to watch a big dude like Keith Lee or Samoa Joe do some crazy shit. It pops the crowd everytime
sabu regrets not signing with WWE all the time. he was offered a ton of cash but he was scared of the promos and all that stuff.
Wdym he did sign for them back in 2006 and was only there for a year
