Well yeah but to be fair who would dare to laugh at "Big Boss" On the other hand the scene were Venom takes his scigar, in the English version he remains silent, but in here he snifs it and makes a sound of approval. Edit: Oh wait the did laugh at 1:44
@@Anthony-kj6di I like to think it was more done as a joke. Besides, if a boss or lead figure makes a joke, it's usually polite to laugh at it, even if it's not that funny. It's acknowledging the attempt at humour.
This is the only scene (that I know of) where the Japanese actor has extra lines. Perhaps they worried that some of the Japanese audience may not realize what "H.B.D" stands for? I mean, you don't even see Snake's lips in that scene so it may very well be something they came up with after the motion capture was done.
Keifer Sutherland did an amazing job voicing as Venom Snake. However, I think that Akio Ohtsuka gave more feelings to the character. For example this moment 1:32, he was making sounds even though they did not had any words, Keifer on the other hand, was silent. I don't know if it was the director's problem that he did not say anything about it or somethig else....
+Russian Trooper Well when you compare the two, Keifer Sutherland's voice acting is just Keither Sutherland who later made a quick bucket in a new Land before Time after this. :(

well I feel happy seeing this because I just finished the game and my full gameplay that whole day is just full of sadness... Quiet left, big boss killed his soldiers, Paz is just a illusion, and more or less I am sad that I might never see such masterpiece in a long long time....
@@superheriber27the dub is great in most of the games (original still shines in a lot of areas) but Kojima, as much as I love him, can be a prick, and I hate how he fired David, also Keifer is a good actor but they removed like all of his lines
i know everybody is saying Fuck Konami, but i dont care if this is blastimous, but fuck kojima too. he cut so many of keifer's lines but kept int akio's? i dont understand why. keifer was a very expensive actor and wasn't used to his full potential.
Kojima himself directed the japanese dub,but the English dub is directed by other person.But its true,Kiefer Sutherland was a good voice actor for Big Boss,unfortunaly didn't had so much dialogues
