Thanks Danny, been waiting for reviews on this one. Was looking at this one as a replacement for my 2dap for day hiking. Quick access pockets and full clamshell beats the 2dap for sure. Cheers and God bless.
I've gone through so many bags from basic Walmart backpacks to Tom Bihn Hero's Journey, I recently came across this bag a few months ago, and since then I got rid of all 24 of my other bags that I liked, but didn't love enough to use any one as a solo do-it-all bag. This bag is the perfect size for EDC, its "tacti-cool" look isn't super tactical so you wont look like some wannabe militia member while grocery shopping. The various pockets and organization was a big seller for me, I really like all the options it provides to stash items away. This could easily be packed out for a minimalist weekender or week long travel bag. I highly recommend it as a great "one-bag" option!
I bought this bag. The truth I love it. Have no issue with it. When i have it on it seems that I am not carrying anything on my back. The other backpacks I have weighs me down this one doesn't.
Very good, thorough review. Thank you for showing all of the interior pockets. Mystery Ranch should hire you to do their marketing. Just ordered one based off of this review.
The 5.11 rush 12 is a total sweatbox on your back! I sold mine on as its a serious let down on the pack, I went back to my Blackhawk cyclone pack much more comfortable and no wear near as sweaty as using the 5.11 rush 12. Tempted by the Blitz as the claim shell design is something that would help in my job.
If they could do a 25L version for edc…I just find 30l too big. Another flat back panel too! Such a let down when a good bag is failed by poor back support/air channels.
I opted for the blitz 35(replacing able carry max) as it has more volume plus with the ability to cinch down to a small size when I'm packing lesser items.
My biggest gripe with MR packs are the lack of ventilation on the back panel. The Bridger seems to solve this but that’s definitely a dedicated hiking pack.
From the side,it looks like a 2dap. I like all the pockets. I tend to prefer lots of organization. The 30 is great for edc, the 35 is definitely better for the outdoors
I'm looking to buy this backpack as well, but I'm a bit on the edge with the size. What are your torso, waist and height measurements for picking the L/XL pack?
Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice, both are great, really comes down to how much you like the tri zip opening and if you prefer to have more external quick access pockets
I had the 2DAP and the blitz 30 should be arriving today. The 2DAP was an excellent bag I just found it to almost be more of a travel time pack than a functional edc bag. This seems to fit the bill in terms of edc layout. The EG CTB26 may be one of the best edc bags of all time along with the viktos perimeter 40, I’m hoping to put the blitz in that company!
Thank you for watching! It’s tough given how different everyone’s preferences are, in general it is really comfortable and adjustable, but I could see some people leaning towards the osprey
BE AWARE THESE BAGS ARE NOT USA MADE Just got mine and it says on the bag “made in Vietnam” I was under the impression that all their bags were made in the USA and finally get the Blitz 35 and right on the wrapper MADE IN VIETNAM right on the front. Garbage, got a return shipping label and getting my money back. Not spending this kind of money for a Walmart bag
It literally is a Civilian backpack. Look no further than the blackjack 35 for the military version. Or do you seriously think military backpacks have ✨laptop sleeves✨

Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful! As much as I like the 2 day assault pack I definitely prefer this one

Thank you for watching! I agree a 25l with a little more airflow in the back would be amazing!
You’re right, it and the 35l have slipped under the radar. Not many reviews, compared to other tactical bags a few years ago
Thank you for watching! Definitely underrated imo!
I opted for the blitz 35(replacing able carry max) as it has more volume plus with the ability to cinch down to a small size when I'm packing lesser items.
Thank you for watching! The 35 looks pretty cool as well, that’s awesome it has the ability to cinch down!
An amazing review and very helpful. Thank you
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!:)
You have good taste in bags AND knives 🤙
Thank you for watching and for the support!:)
Very similar to the MR No Escape / Dragon. Even so, it's still calling my name in XL Coyote.
Thank you for watching and definitely feels like a great alternative to the dragon!
My biggest gripe with MR packs are the lack of ventilation on the back panel. The Bridger seems to solve this but that’s definitely a dedicated hiking pack.
Thank you for watching! Would definitely love to see a mystery ranch bag with an improved back panel!
From the side,it looks like a 2dap. I like all the pockets. I tend to prefer lots of organization. The 30 is great for edc, the 35 is definitely better for the outdoors
Thank you for watching and I agree I like the layout of this one quite a bit!
I no longer trust 500D packs i have two over $300 bags.. I have two 500D bad both have nasty tears in the fabric
1000d is the good stuff, but too heavy. i prefer 700d cordura from tasmnian tiger
I'm looking to buy this backpack as well, but I'm a bit on the edge with the size. What are your torso, waist and height measurements for picking the L/XL pack?
I bought a l/xl and it doesn't fit a bigger guy at all, especially the hip belt.
I'm stuck between this and the 2dap
Thank you for watching! Definitely a tough choice, both are great, really comes down to how much you like the tri zip opening and if you prefer to have more external quick access pockets

Great video! Just ordered mine. How big is the spot for patches?
Very
Can you measure the depth of the laptop sleeve? I’m wondering if it’ll fit something about 23” tall
You think their futura yoke/ back support system is better than the Osprey Airspeed system?
Thank you for watching! It’s tough given how different everyone’s preferences are, in general it is really comfortable and adjustable, but I could see some people leaning towards the osprey
Basically it’s an updated Scape Artist
Thank you for watching! I wasn’t familiar with that one but i can see the similarities!
It’s also the same pack the Carryology Dragon was based off of. Great review of it. Would love to see a comparison with it and the 35l version
Thumbs up just for the Deadpool patch
Thank you for watching! Definitely one of my favorite patches!:)
Ty
Thank you for watching and I’m glad the video was helpful!
Did you know that they make tactical Molle attachments for manicure kits?
Just kidding.
Way too big for EDC...but good if you're a hoarder 🤣
Thank you for watching and fair point! With that much space it’s tempting to carry extra stuff 😂

Mystery ranch has fallen off imo.
When I saw the price, I knew right away that it's not USA made. I don't care.
These packs are silly for civilian use.

Sit at an airport, you'll find a sea of molle 🤣 Tac-fashion has been a thing since at least the 90s.
to each his own. Some people can't appreciate such functional packs.
