“The cheapest sort of pride is national pride; for if a man is proud of his own nation, it argues that he has no qualities of his own of which he can be proud; otherwise he would not have recourse to those which he shares with so many millions of his fellowmen. The man who is endowed with important personal qualities will be only too ready to see clearly in what respects his own nation falls short, since their failings will be constantly before his eyes. But every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; he is ready and glad to defend all its faults and follies tooth and nail, thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.” ― Arthur Schopenhauer
The best thing on this war is that if you want to milsim as yugoslav soldier in from 90´ just dress up in something you find home and get gun and you have it
Fact: All the heavy and modern military equipped soldiers were Serbs and the guys in running shoes with a gun and civilians were Bosnians (Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs).
that's not true while the Serbs inherited a lot of the Yugoslavs army gear many Serbs fought with horrible gear and many Bosnians and Croats had decent equipment
@@tacitplague7079 Partly right but yes. Still, keep in mind that timeline is very important to follow here... in the first 6 months of war, Bosnian army equipment was by far inferior to JNA weaponry which Serbs "inherited". As a matter of fact, the actual army with its army structure and logistic didn't even exist. It took about that much time before they officially became an actual army with head quarters and such (I'm not an army expert here). In the beginning it was territorial defense, various paramilitary units, neighborhood organization etc. Late '93 and '94 the Bosnian army was decently equipped, yes! It is by no coincidence that Serbs controlled in the first 6 months 70% of the country's territory (which many Serbs brag as being better fighters or something 😬🤦🏼♂).
