Now that you can make money from twitter blue, people are incentivized to spread misinformation as long as it gets people to interact with their posts. It sucks that that's what the platform has dedided to promote

I just received my Gold Play Button in the mail today! It’s literally exactly the same size and shape as the silver, but in the gold color. I’m not gonna lie, I was quite disappointed- my friend received hers a week before me and was able to get the original larger size. It’s sad to see that RUclips has decided to cut corners for creators who have worked their whole life to receive an award only for it to look almost identical to the silver one.

I just received my golden play button in the mail. It is the same size and quality of the silver play button and looks very nice. I am OK with it being smaller as the golden play button before was a bit too ridiculously huge. This one looks Nicer on the wall. I wish it was maybe just an inch or so larger than the silver to create some separation but I do think I prefer it over the giant one that existed before Either way, I am grateful that RUclips even does this. It’s a really cool way to celebrate creators. More people are hitting larger subscriber bases because of short form video now so it makes sense for them to do this
Before August 14th several creators I manage received their silver awards and it's definitely noticeablly smaller in dimension. They have the new one 🥴
I wonder if the material inside the resized playbuttons will be different too, Waterjet Channel showed us that the 1M award is wooden with the clean gold plating on the outside so I’m interested if they only made it smaller or if they also used a substitute material!
