Or explaining why they needed to delay the DLC. I'd rather it delayed than released with billions of MAJOR issues rather than a few minor problems.

@@SwagEmusEvilIncoporated I hear this point a lot and it’s valid. However Ubisoft have made this excuse numerous times that there’s a reasonable amount of doubt. I mean I’m not sure if you’ve seen the current state of Ubisoft but it doesn’t look like it’s an issue of quality. The publisher has had numerous delays, numerous game cancellations (one in our own franchise), and they’ve closed studios due to flopping titles. The issue just seems to lie with internal strife at Ubisoft.
If they were just going to be honest about everything, I think most of us would be in a better frame of mind.
The thing that gets to me is when they say stuff like "you CAN play the game without modifiers active" then they have within their content, requirements that have the modifiers active. I have over 3k hours played in this game, I am disabled. I'm not looking to make my life more difficult in a GAME that i use to A) relax and B) se to keep my anxiety in check. I do appreciate all the things they have put into the game to get around being stuck with have to do something one way to get through stuff. Example the abandoning of the priority objective.I have at least 2 other in game mechanics that I could gripe about but it won't help get them changed/fixed.
I agree with a lot of this.
However, it’s also only a single cosmetic Mask that is locked behind using Modifers, and no playable content requires them.
Also, in November stream, the devs acknowledged problems like the ones you listed, and said next season the journey will be reworked in a way to make Modifers option for its rewards, and to also add in other forms of Seasonal XP to make leveling up easier.
The season modifiers have been a massive negative, im pretty sure they see the drop off, my clan has died off during this season because these modifiers are rubbish, boring and ridiculous, its been a massive failure in my eyes, the lack of new content, these modifiers, now the delay in Brooklyn, its getting hard to keep this game installed, 120gb it takes up, they never have problems making new skins to sell us at extortionate prices!
@ Agreed, the skins can be put on hold at least until after the Brooklyn content is released. my clan (that I'm a Lieutenant of mind you) has gone from 40 players down to jut just 7.8 I don't know the direct cause of it. I'm 41 almost 42, been gaming since PS2 mainly. so I have a lot more time on my hands that I've taken to spreading out to more games. Yes, I still have a backlog of other games.
Ive been trying my hardest to stay positive, but honestly, I'm kinda over it. Still waiting on that specialization rework that was canned twice and hasn't been heard of yet
They put that on ice so that means they don't plan to do it anymore
Agree 100% they just need to give us more points so we can max out all the weapon types easy solution I think

They attempted to do it and it broke the code completely and they had to use a previous save so it was abandoned.
lol I thought I was the only one that remembered they promised us something like specialization rework back in a day XD I'd love to see that too but I truly doubt it will be ever done. More likely to see Div3 sooner
Im afraid to say folks, I have worked in my life for a company that somewhere during my employment it began to struggle financially, ultimately it was sold and I stayed there. My point is when company's begin to have money issues, everyone in the company and the customers they serve are in for a bumpy ride, many highs and lows and fluid situations until it's over. Be prepared for more disappointment's, It's not the Dev's fault. They like all of us have people to answer to. The only choices are to hang on and go for the ride or don't. I will hang on. I got nothing else to do :D I love this franchise. Im embarrassed to say how many hours I have in Div 1 and Div 2, LOL
Only reasons I can see for the delay is that Julian made some kind of impact on the content + major hurdles in the QA phase (not the newest and most streamlined tech for a live service)

Good morning from the UK. Rogue, you’ve already shared your thoughts on the delayed DLC, and you've moved on. And as you said in your video the developers haven’t left us without content. Next month, we’ll see a new season sooner than expected, giving us something to enjoy.
Yet, for some, that isn’t enough. I imagine you’ve seen other content creators commenting on the delay. It’s common to check what others in the Division community are saying. Many of them are complaining like spoiled kids. They seem unable to accept that the DLC has faced numerous delays over the last 18 months. Some are even spreading false information to mislead their followers, and we can all guess who that is.
I’ve looked around at what others are saying. I won’t name names because that’s unprofessional. One creator commented on a developer livestream announcement, questioning whether it would be a real conversation or just another PR move.
I can easily step back from The Division. I've spent nearly 10,000 hours on Division 1 and 2 across two platforms. I enjoy both The Division and AC, and I’ll be playing them both in March. I’m not tied to one game like some others. We know what’s going to happen next. This isn’t a dig at our friends in America, but many of the threats the developers will receive over the DLC delay are likely from American players. You know I’m right about that.
We’re in a time where some people struggle with any form of rejection. They can’t handle delays and are very impatient whenever an update is postponed. As I’ve mentioned before, I’ve been coding for over ten years and can work in many programming languages. The main reason I won’t join the gaming industry is that everyone I know in it faces the same three issues. They drink too much from stress, smoke too much from stress, and many have health problems because of deadline pressure.
It’d be awesome if we get another Lexington as compensation for the dlc delay
They should be doing these discussions first rather than random posts of delays.
Conversely, I think the backlash would have been even greater had they said "stream coming with DLC news!" and then announced a delay. At least expectations were set going in this way

I was really skeptical about The Modifiers at the beginning of the season. After slogging my way through the ridiculously convoluted 7 Journeys I've actually grown to really like the modifiers. Using the right combinations can really be fun...my Virtuoso/Pestilence build is a real buzzsaw
Surprisingly, I'm also starting to dislike The Global Events because you can't use your modifiers when running them. So, basically, for at least 5 weeks per season, all the work that you put into acquiring the modifiers is wasted. Maybe the program won't support them both simultaneously but if a way could be found...that would be a huge plus.
I’ll not be able to watch the livestream tomorrow as I’ll be half way through a 13 hour shift but interested to see what modifiers and things we will be getting

So, quick question about participating in the PTS, do you have to be level 40?
Long story short my 12 year old Alienware laptop just took a surge and killed it (it wouldn't play the game anyway as it would lock up at the title screen) but just got my new one in and reloaded Div 2 (WOW the game is absolutely gorgeous) but I'm only at level 3, I thought about getting the boost but I'd really like to enjoy the progression in all it's PC glory, I'll pick up WONY after I finish the main story BUT if I need to be 40 I'll boost to 30 then hustle to get to 40 by Friday.
Iirc, I think must be 40 only because Seasons themselves are locked behind level 40.
This is assuming you get to use your own account for the PTS, and not a premade one.
@Libertarian1776 My info on this might be outdated, because I believe they've changed the parameters/protocols for how they determine PTS eligibility a few different times.
It *used* to be the case that only players with PC progression would have a character ready on the PTS, and therefore you'd need to be 40, yes. The problem is they copied the server data 1-2 weeks in advance, so you wouldn't be eligible under that system if you were to grind now.
However, to the best of my recollection I think they've changed things now to where as long as you own TD2 on PC, you can install the PTS, use a level skip once you boot it up, and it will give you a fresh Level 40 character to begin testing things.
Regardless, worth hopping on on Friday to check I'd say 👍

Is the DLC free or paid for? If it's paid for I might give it a miss. Played through the original DLCs for the game but really don't think spending more money on the game is practicle. Is there a Division 3 in the works?

@commandererestructa4654 They haven't confirmed whether it will be paid or not, but the majority believe yes, it will be.
Division 3 is in the works, but is still early on. Best estimates place its release around 2028.

The developers no matter how well meaning have no control. With Ubisoft’s financial situation after AC Shadows is released they will go bankrupt or be sold. It won’t matter how many ac shadows copies are sold. The hole Ubi is in isn’t one they are getting out of.

@@paulocosta7879respectfully, I doubt that. The division has clearly never been a priority and Ubisoft is notorious for delays. I suspect the dlc is delayed because they probably want to focus on their more relevant franchises.

As of this moment, technically yes. All they said was not year 6. Until we hear otherwise that is indefinite. @ArkLAteKs
From what I heard we just don’t have a release date though you could probably interpret it as that currently.

I haven’t touched this game since they announced seasonal characters. I know they reversed that decision after the backlash; but they migrated their entire content strategy to “modifiers.” That’s not actual new content.
This DLC better have a shit ton of new content in it considering all the delays. The player base is being strung along like an unhealthy relationship. I am confident they will address the elephant in the room during the stream with vague unsatisfactory canned responses.
Abandon the game. Play something else and wait for The Division 3, gents.
i tryed to stay super positive with division 2 since a lot of drama around this game since day 1. i always been defending this game because i love this franchise. div 1 always gonna be my fav of both no matter what division 2 has that div 1 don't its not the same but the revamp of season 2.0 is a big let-down a nerf of what to do over 16 weeks 3 fkin' riddle every weeks that a real april-fool joke seriously. not fun anymore if seasons 3 is the same ain't going to play this rittle fkin shit that bein said, the delayed dlc again this doesn't supprise me anymore we needed it. they can't deliver but eh, new vanity item in the shop is released nice. fkthis. 👎

@@ev1ltrix369 but you also need to know that there only around 100 Devs for the game left. Creating a whole new DLC with around 100 Devs is way more difficult than if they had 1000 Devs like they did in year one or at the time when WONY launched

Thing is rogue’s analysis doesn’t show the whole picture. He focuses solely on the division and what they communicate rather than the goings at Ubisoft. I’m not sure if you are aware of the current situation at Ubisoft but it’s dire. Though he comes off as unbiased. The heavy optimism despite the current situation leads me to believe he’s biased.
Would appear to be a combination of incompetence and corporate mismanagement what plagues this game. Such a shame.

Well one way to fixing it is make it to where everybody is at level 1000 so that everybody could be at a somewhat of an equal standing (if that makes sense).
And by that I mean any player who's not at a level 1000 automatically be placed at level 1,000 so that way when the DLC comes out, everybody will be somewhat prepared. I mean it's the least they could do 🤷

This is why they do fairly frequent huge XP boost events, and also why they open up things like Kenny college during these XP boosts events too.
