      Thank you so much for the amazing comment! It's great to hear feedback, especially when it's good. Lol
      Don't mind our latest video, my voice is trashed because of the cold weather coming up and I don't think it relayed very well on camera.

    This is a great little light. This is the only light where I like a sst40 more than a sft40

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Год назад +3

      That SST40 REALLY helps with the beam here. It's not a terribly deep TIR so having it helps with a soft beam.

    Excellent review. I was looking for a comparison between the Thrunite Catapult Mini and the Sofirin IF19 I just purchased. I saw your review and was very impressed with the quality of your reviews. I find all of these are very well made. One thing I need to note is the Sofirin I purchased was on sale. It was not mentioned that they were factory seconds so not sure though if that plays into it. Unfortunately the one I just received has an imperfection in the lens. Also you have a larger battery in the Thrunite which gives you a much more concentrated and brighter light than the Sofirin. My point is the two lights can be purchased at almost the same price. You can make all kinds of comparisons such as the Thrunite is a tiny hair shorter, the Sofirin is just looks better has cooler things to play with. Bottom line though I like them both but if you want functionality, the Thrunite Catapult Mini wins in my opinion.

      We have a Thrunite Catapult Mini on the way as we have heard much about it in terms of size for throw.
      Thank you so much for the kind words about the review! Without hammering everyone with data, we tried to make our reviews fun and informative.

    Ill be grabbing the if19 soon, seems like a nice simple operation light. I did notice the if19 has a expansion tube available for a 18650 battery, can’t find it anywhere but aliexpress so im gonna pass on that. But it would have been a nice accessory to include.

    As advertised, 2k lumens(turbo) run time about 45mins. It can really make it?
    It will not switch down from turbo to high to prevent overheating?

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Год назад +3

      It doesn't run at full brightness the entire time. The output will stepdown with low voltage as well as heat.

    Just ordered one from Amazon I want use it as my new edc light just worried I won’t like how big the head of the light is in my pocket

    • @torchesandtactical
      @torchesandtactical  Год назад +3

      This one and the IF22a aren't bad on the pocket, in terms of feel. Sure, it's not as nice as a smooth barrel light, but it's definitely doable.
      Let me know what you think of it when you get it!

    I just got one and if I look into the lens with the button facing directly at me at the 1 o’clock position where the glass meets the shell it looks like there’s a crack or chip on the very edge of the glass. Are they all like that or do I have a defective one? I have looked for a photo from that angle but usually it’s either directly from the side or looking at the glass straight on and so I can’t see in photos if this is normal. If anybody out there has one and it looks like this please let me know otherwise, I’m gonna have to return it to Amazon. It doesn’t affect the way the light works but it’s just the fact that when you buy something and it’s brand new, it shouldn’t be defective. So it’s kind of a mental thing but still.

      Don't worry. I promise this is how it is supposed to be. These are the break lines from demolding the TIR optic. My TS11 has one as well. A lot of large TIR optic lights have this.

    Worst torch I have ever bought. Super non tactical. Takes six hundred years to turn on because of the built in lock out mode. I never take it to work. Just sits there at home looking dumb. Because it is.
