It switches off at 1 minute if you are usung it?

The problem with budget torches is that the manufacturers place a lot of emphasis on the the visible features, like fit and finish, the pocket clip, or the tailcap/bezel threads. Because of this approach, the quality of the LED driver is bad as it can get, and together with the lack of digital thermal management, such lights suffers from low conversion efficiency and much reduced reliability. Therefore, I prefer pay what is due for efficiency and reliability, knowing that when I'm left in the dark from the circumstances, my flashlight is 100% reliable and efficient. This is not because of some special philosophy, but because three different cheap flashlights failed to turn on - once in an underground cavern, another time in a crowded reception room during a massive blackout, and on a running train with failed illumination under a 3½ miles tunnel. So my lights are all top-brands in tip-top conditions, and the Samsung/Sony batteries replaced once per year.

The Sofirn SF16 torch purchased in Feb 2024 does not work now. I kept it on charging & aftr 5 hrs tried 2 switch it on but only d indicator light turns green & not d main UV light at front. Does not turn on while charging too. Suggest BTS

nice light with a lot of features. though not the most, and certainly not the most hi tech.

How far away were those furthest trees and that pole? Lumen rating is nice, but I'd like to know what kind of throw this thing has in the real world. Is it good for a rifle to reach out a bit, or is it better suited for close range work like home defense? Honestly at 1300 lumens it's probably TOO bright for anything indoors.

Nice light. Looks to have a very good quality of construction. That multifunctional bracket is pretty neat.

The Trans-Tritium flashlight Their "Trutium" = deceptive marketing practices. Just plug your tritium into a battery and it works great. Well yeah, actual tritium is radioactive and doesn't need a power supply. But, it's how I identify! 😅🤣😂

Strobe is gay. Also im pretty sure the other aa is 1000 lumens and it's only 20 bucks. Its smaller but like why tf would i want the same capability in a larger package?

I'd really like to buy it but I'm not so sure about how secure is against accidental turn on in your pocket. It is easy to long press the button against something on your key chain, in your pocket etc. and you'd end up with a dead battery when you need it most. It happens often with my Nitecore Tiki and I suspect the same would happen with this one.

How much cost?

It's a very dangerous flashlight especially while carrying in the pockets. My jacket caught fire

Cheap a** soft steel bits as usual from OKnife. Also the design looks like an ash tray from 1920s. A huge box just for 4 bits? Yeah.. pass. Especially for the price.

I love mine! I wear it around my neck on a piece of paracord and I actually use it more often than my favorite lights (Pd35 tactical, and PD36R) Fenix makes awesome lights!

Thats my EDC slash everyday use, delivered to me 09/24/22 and after almost everynight use and a few knee high drops (im 5'7), the tailswitch is a bit "wonky, maybe needs cleaning or replacement. The charging now is also tricky, i need to unscrew the batt from the FL then but it back to have a decent charge, longer charge from red to green coz if i dont, less than 2mins after plugging it, it will turn green vs removing and inserting battery for a few seconds which the charging will be "normal". Overall, good decent tactical FL and already eyeing another sofirn FL. Awesome.vid man! Mabuhay! -SoCal Pinoy tambay

Enjoyed your review! I own the new Javelot and am putting together a segment for our new Chanel “Is It Worth It” and have very similar thoughts about the light. Also the bottom of the light can be used as mount for remote control with a weapon. Keep up the good work!

Impressive light for the size. I have heard a lot of good things about it. I have a few smaller Olights and they are very good quality.

I don’t know why you say the white box only comes with the blue flashlight. I bought the white version with the white box from kickstarter.

The one I got with my $30 Wuben E7 in the sale has a parasitic drain, sucks. But it was only $10. I keep it clipped on my backpack strap.
