Also Exeller's powers being weakened just by the master emerald certainly won't weaken Exeller much, that is until Alice enters the picture since her powers weaken Exeller to the point where he can only really do the things that are seen in his battle with Alice.

I feel like exellers sanity/humanity is on an extreme spectrum throughout the different endings take the crazy Amy endings as an example when cream shoots Amy we can see him have second thoughts and let Alice reset the timeline in contrast if cream lets Amy kill eggman he does a triple kill with Amy cream and Alice in the span of about a minute it's really weird I tell you
