Do you know what all the status effects do? More specifically does the charm effect halve a unit's stats? Also, what does it mean when it says -30 or 30 element under their stats when a unit stands on a portal stream?
Laharl, Etna, Flonne, and (Regular) Prinny requires NG+ to unlock. There will be an extra map that opens up below the Southern Castle (forgot the name). Everyone else is on a map on an island to the north that is unlocked at the beginning but the fights are level 100.
What exactly does maxing out the stats in the training menu for monsters actually do? Does it only effect item fusion and what happens to them after in the dark world dialogs? Or does it actually effect stats while they are still in the party? Thank you for the video I played this game back when I was a kid and never really understood item fusion. Thank you for putting you knowledge out into the world. It has really increased my enjoyment of this great game.
It acts like an extra stat leveler (like the ones on the items) when they get maxed out. Someone told me that the stat levelers have a minor affect on a character's stat increase when they level but I never verified if this is true.
When purifying portals and creating miracles, how do you get the animation to move so fast? It usually takes forever for the whole animation of going full circle around the room to finish.
They've already released all the classics I know about/played so I don't have an answer for you. However, whatever they release next, you can be sure I'm still buying it lol
@@JRPGFanatic this might be a dumb question. Do you think Mana Khemia or Atelier Iris series could qualify for a NIS classic collection? I believe they made those games. I could be wrong, just wondering.
How do you play through the Overlord Prier story mode? Many sources I've searched for say to input a certain button combination on the title screen but I've had no luck with that approach.
Cursor on new game, X Y B X Y B A If you're on PC then whatever prompts are mapped to (menu, change facing, back) x2 -> Confirm You can also select it after clearing the game.
@@JRPGFanatic I tried several variations of button mapping for this but still wouldn't work for me. I guess I'll have to wait until after the main game. Thanks for answering anyway.
I want to know, why sometimes enemies get to a higher level out of nowhere? like I was griding spells at the zombie castle and 2 of the bats ( I think ) where level 15 one extra thing, prier my strongest character was level 13. Also thanks for the vídeo
If you asked for stronger enemies at all, the level cap will increase and enemy levels will be within a certain range. Otherwise, no idea, guess it happens sometimes.
Personally I needed minimal grinding to complete the story (both normal and overlord Priere). Repeated some maps for gear levels and character levels but not a lot. You can get through most of the game with re-actions and keeping gear up to date in shop.
I’m glade NIS is bringing their ps2 classic to modern consoles
Thanks so much for shedding light on this awesome game!
A classic gem just like Soul nomad
Thanks for these advice and tips videos!
This is really helpful. Have you made similar guides for Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom?
No, I haven't played the new phantom brave and I never finished Makai kingdom lol.

Yes charm reduces stats by 50% (+/- 1 due to rounding). -30 element means that type of damage will do less damage.
how do you unlock fhe dlc characters?

Thanks for the quick response, appreciate your time and consideration 👍.
Waiting on volume 4 to see what games it brings.

A bit late but go to options and change system effects to fast
What do you hope is the next NIS vol collection?

@@heyitsdylan3012 NIS never made those games so I doubt it. The western NIS branch published them.
@@JRPGFanatic Thank you for the clarity. Keep up the good work, subscribed yesterday.

How much grinding is needed just to get through the main game? Or can you get strong enough by just playing through the story?
