  • So after you've cleaned the drum, changed the head, stretched it, seated it, & tuned while the kit wasn't setup, take a dive into how we'll fine tune the kit as one. By fine tuning I mean listening to the kit now that tit is setup. Most times your drums will sound different when they are setup. So you have to go back, listen for that ring or that nasty overtone and correct it. Thus, FINE TUNING! Haha! Hope you enjoyed these beautiful tones as much as I have.

    Yeah I like 12 inch toms too. I feel like they are easy to tune.I have trouble tuning floor toms. This helped out a lot 💪🏾

    Sounds great! How do you make your tom ring more or less? Thx!

    • @Haze_amaze_
      @Haze_amaze_  Год назад

      Thanks! Many ways this can be done. Using tape, moongels, or anything to dampen the toms for less ring. And nothing on them for more ring

      @@Haze_amaze_ oh yeah obviously hehe I was not specific with my question haha! I thought there was a way to acheive the same only with tuning tricks, to a certain inteval or what so ever… I will continue using moon gel at 10$ a pack then! Haha! Thx man

      @@do8671 Ohhhh haha! Yes sometimes the angle of your toms can shorten the tone, like if they hover right over the bass drum they won't ring as long. Also I head of the trick of turning you floor tom legs upside down and that help[s with something, I can't remember. I believe that toms ring longer when they are free floating as well (on a rack or on their own separate tom stands)

      For a long sustain. Tune both heads to the same note or tension. For a shorter sustain, tune the bottom head tighter. The pitch will bend and fall. And for even shorter sustain add moon gel/tape.
