- Hurricane season in Louisiana is usually shot through with deja vu, but at least one of the named storms making its way through the Atlantic Ocean right now has an especially familiar ring to it.
As of Monday afternoon (Sept. 10), Hurricane Isaac was a Category 1 storm in the central Atlantic Ocean, expected to make its way toward the Caribbean by Thursday. Isaac was upgraded on Sunday, making it the fifth hurricane of the 2018 Atlantic season -- and one of four tropical systems forecasters were tracking Monday.
I like the video, but it didn't really explain why Isaac wasn't retired.
They are saying that it should've been retired, doi.
Isaac is the only i name after the rewriting of the list to add male names in 1979 that hasn't been retired.
Now you can add Imelda and Isaias to that list.
They were actually costlier than Isaac.
@@LunoRawke Imelda was originally Iris and Isaias was originally Ike which was originally Isidore.
@@j.roseee Isidore to Ike to Isaias
Y'all would be a perfect hurricane name.
Erika was spelled and retired with a “k” not a “c”
You can't retire me! I'm the only original I name left! On the list since 1982!
Bro the innocent people you hurt😢
It should’ve been retired because it did 3 billion dollar in damage while Nate got retired and it only did 787 million and although Nate did kill 7 more people than Isaac at the same time it makes more sense to retire Isaac then to retire Nate because of how much damage Isaac did
Agreed, and tropical storm Erika. Erika only caused 500+ million dollars in damages and killed 31 whilst Isaac caused 3 billion dollars in damages and killed 34
I lived at St Charles and third...it definitely should've been retired... very bad
Its going to be used in the 2024 season
I was retired
Shut the fuck up

I hope they don't name a storm Adolf, hilter, Donald, trump or bush
In the Eastern Pacific, they actually named a few hurricanes "Adolf", but retired it because, well, evil guy Adolf Hitler existed.
It was Adolph, not Adolf. Israel, by an unfortunate coincidence, was scheduled to be used the same year (2001) that Adolph got retired, but it was removed and replaced by Ivo before being used.
@@NorthieStangl Yes and they also had one called Isis. And there is a Don in the atlantic
Owen Green Adolph was used in the Eastern Pacific.
Why Bush?
