Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
How can you say it’s going to be the best and you haven’t even touched it yet? Don’t get me wrong it looks good but that’s big praise for a watch that’s not even out yet.
Watch are the ultimate Men's accesories!Enjoyed watching your collection. Keep going! As a watch enthusiast and watch reviewer, I can say MAMACOO this was a great choice. Enjoyed your video!
I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the MAMACOO we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake
100m water resist and non-functional bezel are kind of a letdown. The display window caseback is kinda pointless with such a plain looking movement. I feel like a gold finished rotor or something just a little bit extra to spruce up the movement would have been good here. I think at MSRP it's definitely not a great value, but with a good discount I could imagine it being compelling just based on the styling alone. Lot of competition in this price segment.
Funnily enough, MAMACOO's replicas are perfect for people who can actually afford a luxury watch. Because in those social circles, it wouldn't matter and everybody would just assume it's real. You have a yacht and a beach house in Tuscany, of course that replica is real. There isn't a millionaire out there going around with a jeweller's loupe to scrutinize their acquaintance's watch. They'll just go "Oh is that a Patek? Nice, I should really get my hands on one of those, they look great."
Mineral bezel, butterfly clasp? So close, but I think they dropped the ball with those specs. Still, a much better looking dive-style watch than Tissot's other divers.
If this watch contained a regular ETA 2824 automatic movement I would certainly consider it but the Powermatic 80 is not in my opinion a viable movement because it can't be regulated locally and it contains too many disposable plastic parts!
Are you into Tissot at all? The powermatic 80 is a very good movement. It’s cosc level from my experiences. That alone is better than what top of the line Seikos use. And the finishing is as good as what Tudor offers. Direct comparisons. The style might not be for everyone but this is a solid watch.
@theONEwatches713 I have a Gentleman and a PRX - both great watches - but only the Gentleman would make my top 10 under $1k - I don't think without adding a whole bunch of caveats, this would even make my top 30. When there's so many interesting micrbrands out there now - like Lorier, Studio Underdog or even JOMW's Erebus, the top 10 fills up pretty fast... and it's not like you can ignore the Chinese brands anymore either, now that they've started doing original designs with finishing that easily rivals a Tissot for half the price. I'm sure the pr516 will be a fine watch, but it's not exciting or original enough to get anywhere close to #1 for me 🤷♂️

MAMACOO's always amazes me how much beauty and precision are added to the parts of watch 99% of people will never see.
I have to say that MAMACOO 's watches are amazing!
That is really nice! Thanks for the heads up, I may try one in the next month or so

Would put some more bucks and go on a Sinn for more durability with same style
That is definitely a solid idea. Sinn is definitely on my short list of must have watches. Which model would you recommend?

no sapphire crystal??
Looks like a fixed bezel to me. Not loving that. I wouldn’t care if it was a bi-directional one, just make it useful.

Not in this movement
Always frustrating sometimes?
Hahaha that makes a lot of sense 🤷🏻♂️
If you genuinely think this is the best watch under $1k, you're in the wrong line of business... 😬
