They could have put a hardness coating on the grade 2 titanium, which scratches easily. Zelos does it for 1/3rd of the price Also they´ve put a male end link on the bracelet, rather than a female end link, so will wear bigger than it needs to on the titanium bracelet. Spent a long time on the lume, but missed a couple of smaller points which would keep the watch looking better longer and improve wearability.

A couple of years ago CW was selling a C60 Elite 1000 (that’s 3 times the WR of Lumiere) for roughly $1100 USD on discount, also titanium, also an escape valve. It was 15mm thick, but it did everything for less money and it was arguably less garish than this thing. But whatever floats your boat. CW is raising prices on skinned off-the-shelf Selitta movements. Hardly a fair comparison with Longines or Tudor.

Don't get put off by what your told. C/W have a very good after sales department. I have just returned a watch with a mechanical problem. It was sorted free of charge in very good time, no fuss or cost to me. I've been collecting C/W now for 5 years and have never had a problem. I have returned watches for service also with no problems. The only thing they lack is a polishing service that said I have had 2 watches recased so are basically new for much less than Rolex would charge for a case polish.

Their customer service absolutely sucks. I bought a watch and tried to return it. 5 emails in 4 weeks and no response. I had to sell it privately for a loss. I have yet to see the Lumiere in person since it just came out. I’m too small a channel for them to send me watches haha. Part of the whole “better” aspect is taking the price into consideration.

Please understand a Cosc Sellita 300 is not a cheap movement, ask most watchmakers repair people how good this movement is. It’s used as the base for IWC watches and many others. The ETA 2892 was the base for previous generations Omegas . If a Sellita 200 basic costs about £100 this movement will be upwards £400 . It’s the King of mass market movements.

Best watch under 2k? Perfect watch? Dude, the watch was just released like two days ago, so how could you possibly come up with those opinions already? Selitta movements are prone to the helicopter rotor issue, so no watch containing that shoddy movement is perfect. Also, most grades of Selitta aren’t much to look at, so why they put an exhibition caseback on this watch is beyond me.
With that said, I love the lume block indicies, the size proportions, and the titanium case (even though they copied Tudor).
