I was born in 1980 and loved this show since i was 5. I have to admit islightly prefer the second series to the first. Oz is by far my favourite. I hate to say this but the one i'm the most like personality wise is Nev.
Me too, regarding Neville :) Maybe not the most glamorous character but in the real world it's probably the best one to be! Not mental, has a loving wife at home, not getting into fights (at least not often) and not daft as a brush, unlike some of the characters.
I sometimes think about this show in comparison to Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads. I think Dick and Ian divided Terry's personality between Oz, Moxey and Wayne, Bob's personality between Bomber, Barry and Neville, and Dennis was kind of a mix of both.
