All down to his death and even then he remains badass. And now we know that if whitebeard was this great of a motherfucker, then roger was on the same level. Hence even though we know nothing about rogers powers, actions, we know so much just trhough the legend whitebeard is. To me he will remain the strongest pirate in one piece. It was explained in the scene that whitebeard looks like steaming like 2nd gear, because he is suffering from a very high temperature fever. It means that Whitebeard is already in beyond near to his end and he just wants to finish Teach before him. That last attack was suppose to finish Blackbeard but the bullet hits his heart from that hole in his chest. Whitebeard provided him food, clothes, shelter, and a family who loves him, but in the end of the day he is just a scumbag.
To be honest, Black beard is the only literal 'pirate' in One piece... it is not easy to become a complete asshole like him... by the way, the setting of Haki seems not complete to me at this stage of One piece, or there is no reason that Akainu can survive.
Well perhaps not Kindergarten fight, this was still pretty much everything the Marines had to throw vs Blackbeard prospect for Yonko with the Gura fruit vs a Rampaging Yonko and his crew. But the final war will definitly make Marineford look like a skirmish
