That is the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam. It is part of the Universal Century timeline in the Gundam universe. It was released as a 7 part movie from 2010 to 2014 and re-released as a 22 episode tv series in 2016. In my opinion you can watch it standalone even if you have never watched a gundam show before. Highly recommended watch!

Hey John ! What you really want to do is to arrive in the evening to see the Unicorn transform into Destroy Mode and the psycho frame lights up at night too. There are 2 Gundam Base stores in Odaiba. One outside next to the Unicorn statue and one more inside Diver City Mall itself on the upper floor. I do believe you need a queue number to enter the store though.
Went to Odaiba about 8 years ago.. was in Yokohama on march 30th this year, at night, and unfortunately Godham was "stuck" we didn't see him move. The show was canceled 😢 i was so sad. P.s. Leo really is, a heartbreaker. He's so cute😊

I was there in Spring last year. Odaiba is very nice area, much less crowd and peaceful. I love sitting on the bench looking over the waters where the ferry port is.

Why did the other one shut down? Was it the one that moves?
It was a limited time and they extended it by a year so people could see it. Probably a contract with the pier / land owners.
