Was feeling almost suicidal yesterday. This is one of the few things pulling me out of the dark today. Thank you for making the world a better place. I'm going to try pay this positive energy forward.
death is the same as before you were born, a state of no being, in that state, time is relative, and just as before, an eternity will last an instant. i recommend not committing suicide because life is pretty short anyway. good luck
please, dont be afraid to dial 988 on your phone if you in america, if you not ill find the number in the country you are in.. dont be afraid to call them.. even if you feel a little bit that way.. they are there to help, its anon, and you wont be judged!
If you can manage it, try to promise yourself you won't do it until every part of you has given up. If even a cell in your body wants to keep going, try to hold on. And of course, seek help, try to imagine a future where you'd want to live, and pull every favor you can to help you make it a reality. And try not to let yourself feel guilty, it's not your fault.
Much appreciate your music, Mr. Welles. Many folks have compared your music to Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie, but I’d like to say your style is your own. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Bob Dylan didn't suck your insane. He wrote modern day masterpieces, watch some old footage of him in his 20's rather than him in his 60's. If you understand anything about Americano music and the roots where our country music came from you would have a different opinion.
Hope you get the success you deserve I love your band Welles also. Never heard of you or your band until I stumbled apond you on you tube now I am telling all my friends to check you out. PS I am 65
How many long years of music business rubbish have we waited for this totally original young man with heart to lift our spirits, love him! When I listen to him its like hearing a young Dylan or Guthrie all over again, outstanding talent!
This song has been stuck in my head the last few days! 🥀🎶💓 Not too shabby. Looking like a young Jagger and sounding more like Townes. Your a funny guy Jesse😂
This one gives me chills rememering how young we were when this music was new, same age as this man singing here. Its been a long life since then, many miles, many heartaches and many victories. Still kicking. This music really lifts my spirit hearing a young contemporary artist doing it with the right heart and soul.
This is such a great cover of TVZ’s cover of the Stones song. I love this song so much. When I was 19, my friend Mike had Hepatitis very bad from being a Junkie, he asked me over and over to dance naked on his grave with long stemmed roses, I couldn’t do that much less lie to Mike, like me he loved the Stones and the Grateful Dead …and he morphed our love of them into wishing I would dance with red roses, naked on his grave. Michael was Gay, but he didn’t want to be. He died a little over a week after my 20th birthday. His funeral was huge, my mom and 2 of my sisters & all of close friends were at Michael’s funeral. He promised me that he was going to do something at his funeral to embarrass me and he did!!! I grew up in a large city near Los Angeles, his funeral was in this huge Catholic Cathedral, there were hundreds of people, the police closed one of the main streets in town, there were limos lined up, my mom, sisters, all of my girlfriends were there. We had to cross the big 5 lane street with police 👮 walking us across, I wore this very short dress with beige tights that matched and I did what I always did at 20, and wore tight fitting bikini underwear over my tights to keep them up and high platform heels. In the middle of Olive Street, I felt someone tug my underwear to my ankles, it was Mike, no one else was close enough to even touch me, I had to carefully hunch down (I couldn’t bend over, my dress was too short) and tug my underwear up. Everyone was laughing so hard, yikes, I will never forget & everyone who knew that Mike had promised to embarrass me, laughed even harder 😢😂😮😅😂❤❤
I am in complete agreement regarding Townes. He was covering The Stones when he sang Dead Flowers. Not trying to be "that guy" but doing a horrible job of it, take care fellow Townes enjoyer.
Impressive. The fact he can play and sing amazes me. Playing chords and singing is impressive but the picking patterns while singing is on a different level. Love this stuff brother keep em coming
Had one of his Welles albums pre-installed in the music folder on my Asus laptop (which, I still use LOL) I bought back in Sept. 2011 and always really dug listening to it. Dope to see and listen to him doing stuff like this and getting the notice and attention it deserves,😀💚💙❤️💜
Townes has such beautiful sweet sadness. Thank you. I will be heading down that rabbit hole for the millionth time. Just discovered you today . Good stuff
Oh, brilliant. I watched your live stream on Instagram a couple weeks ago and commented that you reminded me of Townes Van Zandt. I hadn't seen this video until just now. Fantastic cover, Jesse!
Jesse, along with being a genius lyricist/songwriter, covers great songs, whittling them into his own shape. Ps, I think they are tobacco plants growing next to him, everything he does has an astute meaning to it (well I believe anyhow's)👌
Your songs are always awesome, thank you for posting. I would love to listen to some of your stuff up on Spotify if that isn't too much trouble for you. Have a good one!
I saw the Stones do this track live with Keith and Mick Taylor alternating honky tonk lead lines….you do great covers of the Stones 👏👏👏Angie when you get time 🤔🤔🤔
I just started covering this song yesterday probably the same time this was being recorded or uploaded. Nice man. Gonna see the stones in a couple days with the old man. Cheers Jesse

Closer to Arlo but agree he has his own style. Glad he is getting some recognition
Bob Dylan sucked and half his songs were nonsense bullshit.

This man is single handily bringing back an entire genre as if he was one of the greats. I think he might be.
I can only imagine hiking through the woods and discovering Jesse playing.
Haha...just sitting on a tree stump, playing as you walk past. That would be an awesome moment.
Every one of his songs has this comment!!!😂

Townes van zant 😮❤ my god Jesse this is brilliant ❤so beautiful
Rolling Stones off Sticky Fingers
Sings and plays like Dylan. Looks like young John Fogerty. Knocks out classic Stones song….. with a Stella guitar. How can you beat that? Great!
Happy and proud to have been one of the first hundred or so people to subscribe to Jesse. He's the new generations Bob Dylan, 100%.
babe, wake up, new Jesse Welles song dropped!
We love your music and your vibes, truly talented!
One of my favorite tunes. Our musical tastes are very similar. Great job Jesse.
Man, that's some pretty music J. Struck a chord in the heart. Thank you.
This song has been stuck in my head the last few days! 🥀🎶💓 Not too shabby. Looking like a young Jagger and sounding more like Townes. Your a funny guy Jesse😂
Jesse, thanks for all your music. You and the Stella are great together.
What you do with basic chords is great. I save these video to slow down and cop licks.
One of my favorite songs of all time… once again. You have amazing taste Jesse. Thanks again pal

Your an inspiration dude, really keep up the great work. Living life!!
He can sing Rolling Stones and then take me home, country drones. Omg
This is my favorite Stones song, and you did a lovely job covering it :)
"A wiser fella than myself once said: sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you."

Killer job on a classic....keep them coming 👍
Boy. This brings tears to my eyes before 10 seconds in.
I like his *supported thumb* picking (no pick) technique combined with finger picking. SO natural and excellent.
Great choice, never forget your inspirations along your way.

Townes Van Zandt. Greatest poet ever as far as I’m concerned

Great choice great arrangement.dang brother you got the mojo.
He is so good on that guitar. And the harmonica sounds so nice. His singing voice is so unique but also nice to listen to
That cricket or cicada "whistling" along just adds to the "flavor" of the song and video.🫡😃
