My avocado trees give me plenty of fruit year round. My Bacon Jan thru March them my Hass gets harvested April thru June followed by Lamb July thru September & finally my Reed finish off the year from October thru December. I also have 4 small GEM avocado trees & will be adding Kona Sharwil to my collection. I live in Southern California & love this perfect growing climate because I am able to grow so many different kinds of plants & trees.
I am trying to have avocados all year but having difficulties for the months of April, May and early June. Could you please share your varieties? Thanks
1) you can grow a real Hass in S Fl. I discovered the variety. If you ever see it you’ll see 2) a very productive Haas avocado in Miami 3) I’ll tell you the 1 guy that produces this variety for sale. 4) Doni is big and great tasting. 5) there is a variety that can help you have avocados almost the whole year but it’s patented and only produced by license commercially. It’s called Carla from the Dominican Republic but if it’s found in your yard you’ll get legal troubles. 6) the Haas is exactly like the ones in Publix 7) lastly yes Oro Negro is great but gives very few fruit for many of its early years. This is year 7 or 8 for mine and it’s fruited for the first time and it only has a few babies. But well worth the wait.
I live on the treasure coast and mt Oro Negro faces south, grows well but no fruit. Next to it is the Day that fruits well. What can I do? The tree is 6 years old in the ground. Tree looks good but no fruit.
interesting have an oro Negro and Day next to each other also but they are both much younger. You can top work the Oro Negro. I love them but if it's not giving fruit change it. .
If temp goes more than 45 degree .. and frost problem in winter .. heavy rainy season .. fertile soil .... Which a type b type combo will be good ? Aslo dwarf, semi dwarf preferable decease resistance for organic farming ... And obviously I will prefer productive and good oil quantity ... But natural climate adaptation and decease resistance and dwarf was first preference then high quantity production ..
I have a question. I pollinated my dragon fruit blossoms this evening around 10pm and then around 12am it started to rain. Will the rain ruin my pollinating process. Your reply will greatly be appreciated. Thank you

We have several avocado trees. We chose our trees according to the time of year they grow so that we could have avocado's the whole year.
Please list your varieties!

I planted a Day Avocado 🥑 on the advice from Alex Salazar. It fills a niche in my fruit production time line. ⌛️

hi I am not sure
Is that ok if Lula, choquette, super hass, dupuis, catalina, brogdon planted on elevation 100 above sea level?
not sure
If you have tried the Day avocado, what do you think about it? I have one in a 3 gal. pot. Thanks
I actually haven't tasted it yet but I hear great things about it.
It is supposed to be one of the cold hardy varieties. What is your experience with it (in terms of handling cold winters, frost, etc)? Thanks!
@@0anant0 haven't had it long enough to know yet. It is also supposed to do well in pots.
@@alexanderk7638 OK, thanks!
My Day avocado is a dream producer and has a thin skin and tastes good, small fruit
What about temperature there sir?
what do you mean?
I keep hearing the same thing about 'Oro negro'... grows beautifully and tastes amazing but fruit production is low
It's enough production for me. It's excellent
Spanish neighborhood? Holy Moses, the pot calling the kettle black.

I have 20 fruits, and I know each by name and type.

It is pronounced Hass as in Bass.
