On day 2 of our West Highland Way thru-hike we walk from Easter Drumquhassle Farm to Cashel Campsite where we camp for the night. Lambing restrictions force us to detour around Conic Hill.
It's at this point that the trial really starts to open up and as we walk the West Highland Way really starts to show what it has to offer!

Great videos. Found your Skye trail ones first but looking at WHW for May this year. Great help! Looking forward to bingeing the rest of your videos. Well shot and great commentary.

Part 2 was certainly full of road and gravel laid tracks but you navigated them well. Got a hint of a view or two as your dog played about. Mind you I think the tent pegs were the hardest thing all day - no pun intended. Good going. Mark. P.S I know it's an old trek.

Hi John, I've followed your channel since the very start and have watched almost everything you've uploaded. This WHW was the last 'series' of walks to watch. This is the first time I've seen you with anyone. Is that lass (Ellie?) your other half then, or did you meet her on the walk? Very entertaining channel and Moss is just a once in a lifetime dog. Keep it up man!!!

Hi Mike! Really glad you have enjoyed all the vids! 👍
I met Ellie on the hike and she's a great lass! We spent time together but we weren't partners. My Australian ex left me a few months before this hike. In fact that was one of the reasons for even making YT vids; to hike, clear my mind and give me something to focus on. So I'm really glad you have like 'em! It helped a lot!
Moss is a pure gem! ♥️🐺
      Cheers man! 🙂🐾👍

@@HoundsofHowgate Nae bother pal. Credit where it's due. Time and travel, the two great healers. Can I assume Howgate is the one beside Penicuik? I've walked a lot around Peebles and love it up there. I piss myself laughing when you get on a rant with cuckoos as we've got two cuckoo clocks in the house here, brought back from visits to the Black Forest. I've just had 2 solo laps of the NC500 back in September with lots of day hikes amongst the fortnight and the bastard midge were relentless at times, despite Smidge!! Have you considered any LDWs around my area, Northumberland? There are some beltas.

You should publish a guidebook as you are the first to point out the dogging spots 😀
