    Thanks Karen, that is brilliant. It seems to me that the head at the horizon works because that is the level of the viewer's/artist's eye and head. No matter where we and they are, close or far, our eyes are at about the same level - except for children and, as you say, unless your view is from the top of a cliff.

    Your instruction on how to paint little people was awesome. It was easy to pick up on based on your video. I must admit I prever the arch method to the M & W method, but to each his own. I am going to incorporate some little people in an abstract watercolor I intend to do later this evening. Thanks again!

    I just started watercolours in late May of this year. I watched this last night and sketched a beach scene using this technique. I have never sketched before in my life. But my people looked awesome. So thanks

    I recently sold a drawing of two fishermen,your right about leaving hands ect to the imagination, in our art group our teachers tell us never add features which I thought was strange at first but people have more of an imagination than we think , I shall certainly try out your hacks ect as we never stop learning ,Thank You x ☺

    are on the front of the chest trunk, not perched on top of it. Specially in old folks like me.

    Tutorial molto istruttivo e molto interessante, anche se personalmente nei miei dipinti non disegno persone perché attirano l attenzione e mettono in secondo piano il paesaggio, ma i tuoi trucchi sono stati molto utili: una I, una carota, finestra ad arco, M e W, teste piccole e squadrate.     This is one of the most helpful video’s I’ve ever seen in in drawing/painting people properly. I’ve often drawn them as carrot figures which on some paintings didn’t quite work out too well. (I never knew why until I watched your video.) For that reason I stopped trying to add figures to my paintings, but now after I practice a bit of course, will start adding them again - this time correctly and in the right perspective!
    Thank you for your help because now that I know what I was doing wrong I can and will correct it by using your method.
    Thank you once again for a great video.

    REALLY helpful. Thank you! I've often seen painters advise that a child's head is larger in proportion to their bodies than an adult's and to paint it thus. Starting out small makes so much sense.
