Apologies I've only just come across this great footage! The station is very close to my heart. I love Chiltern train company and 68,s well can't put nto words what I think of them.My sister in law lives in Banbury and we stay three times a year( from Manchester)…Truly great captures and just yearn to be back there.Thankyou so much for sharing this GREAT VIDEO. and will sub you,oh and thumbs up too.Regards Redshed 66077.
Thank you ever so much for your kind words it really does mean a huge amount to me and a massive thank you for subscribing to my channel. I'm really enjoying my time on the CML so far and the stations just keep getting better and better the further down the line I go, I'm really looking to going to Princess Risborough and Wembley as they look like incredible stations to go to. Naturally there will be many more 68's coming along in the next few films :) Take care
Tornado922 Great added touch running commentary realy useful info too. With a voice li ke yours, you would make a good presenter on the BBC 5 live team!! cheers Nick.
Those 68's....magic! You captured the sounds so well, from when they stopped adjacent to you, to their acceleration away. Well done sir! The deep throated burble comes out so well on my AV system, that speaks volumes for the recording abilities of your device. And not a cock horse in sight....
The 68's have got to be one of the best sounding modern diesel locomotives currently in use on the British network, the sight and sound alone is just simply blissful to listen to. I'm amazed really that my Samsung Tablet can actually give out the quality that it does :)
I think the like ratio says everything, 47-0, I made it 47 BTW, you saw an exceptional amount of freight, you don't normally see that much at Banbury, thoroughly enjoyed watching, up to the usual high standards, keep up the good work and a like from me as always
I was dead chuffed with the amount of freight that was coming through that evening and even more impressed with how well the film came out in the end considering I was filming on a tablet. So I didn't really have my hopes up for it to come out as well as it did. But once again thanks ever so much for all of the support that you have continued to give me it really is greatly appreciated and will always continue to be
220019. That model has such a nice Front Fascia so beautiful. Another beautiful setting, really must be wonderful to be there. Ahhh, Freight! Okay, Uhmm... 221132 is that some form of uhmm.. Skull or something on it's front? Like they do in Texas or am I just A little too Geared-Up? Maybe some Branch? Oooh! 68013 She is so nice, Wow! 165101 hidden in the back was also pretty nice. 168323 and her two sisters were no joke. 66536, more like A bat out of Hell! Yeah, okay I agree 68010 is a Monster. I watched it leave three times, she's a Demon. 66034 Boom, did blow you back a bit? Like I heard wind off Empty Flat-Beds. Careful Tor. Haha! Suspicious wind, hah. The speed on the Night Freight is awesome. The 165033 isn't too bad either on the eye! Damn clean lines, and those ladies can fly. Such a great film, thanks. P.S. Sorry about the Gob! B.P.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed watching this throughout, what you saw on XC 221132 was actually a dead pigeon that met a rather unfortunate end on the front of that unit. The 68's are always great to see pulling away you can just feel the power from standing next to them. A few of those 66's were absolutely thundering it through Banbury and the wind kicked up by them was certainly taking me with it hahaha.
You already did a video at Kings Sutton, as a precursor to the Chiltern Line videos. Why do it again? Also, what was the cause of all the delays? Wasn't restricted to Chiltern trains, Cross Country was affected too.
Yes I already did at Kings Sutton but that was to give me a taste of what to expect so I know what I'll be doing and the best places to stand to do my filming. So I'll be going again next week at some stage. I don't know what the cause of the delays were, all that I can gather was that there was congestion on the line somewhere which knocked everything out of line
Very nice starting scene! 3 trains all at once is always a great way to start!
Thanks very much :) I think I got very lucky by catching the 3 trains at the start
Fabulous video as always! The 68 seems to be the new Valenta in terms of sound - absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks very much :) I love the sound the 68's produce they are absolutely gorgeous!

Great video. Surprisingly busy there. And yes you notice how quick the freight pass through.
Thanks very much, I really enjoyed my time here it was absolutely brilliant :) Some of those freight trains were certainly motoring along
My favorite Voyager, I believe, went through on this video, though it has been de-named now. Excellent video as always.
I'm glad you enjoyed watching this :) What number is your favourite voyager?

Great video as always.
Nice station too.
TTPF.
Thanks very much mate I'm glad you enjoyed it )
My favourite Banbury services are the CrossCountry services to Bournemouth.
For me it has to be the 68 hauled services
Great video mate
Thanks very much
During the 60’s trains always went from Snow Hill to Paddington.
I would really like to see those services brought back in, I think it would be a very popular service and generate some good revenue for the company
Love your videos!!!
Thank you for saying so that really does mean a huge amount to hear that

I'm afraid you don't get XC HST's on Bournmouth or Guilford
You can always live in a dream hahaha
Great video! Do you use an app to find out where the trains are going? If so what app is it?
Thanks very much :) Yes I use RealTimeTrains to find out all the information regarding train times and destinations
