Set in the Florida Panhandle along the beach that stretches all the way to Alabama, "MTV Floribama Shore” is the story of eight young adults who come to spend the summer in the hottest beach town on the Gulf Coast, Panama City Beach, to party it up and put the real world on hold for just a little bit longer. But each is armed with incredible life experiences and standing at a crossroads, whether it’s ending a relationship, tasting independence for the first time, or trying to escape the past. Gus only acts tough when he is with his roommates to protect him. He never went outside when he told Jeremiah to go outside to fight.

Gus is the perfect example of taking someone's kindness as a weakness. Jeremiah is the most calm on the show and he thinks that gives him the rights to provoke him. But he didn't expect him to actually confront him but it was coming eventually.😌
Apparently, it was a sign of weakness since Jerr ruffled Gus enough that he'd detach himself from the dinner table until someone humbled him. He's a validation addict and must be pampered to assert his dominance in the matter of investment. Otherwise, why else did this situation happen? And over a bet? Either, own up to your skills or break. That's the lesson of avoiding a bet.

I never understood how Gus can't see he took advantage of the situation. Yes, Jeremiah was paying for him but that didn't mean take advantage and run up the tab. Gus didn't even finish his food. He did it in spitefulness and everyone knows that yet he wants to say "no I beat you so you pay for me. A bet is a bet". He took advantage of the bet and that is why Jeremiah decided to step up to the plate. Atleast Jeremiah was going to pay still for his food, but all that food??? No. Gus acted like he did not want to pay it all when in reality, he was going to pay for it but not the whole menu that Gus decided to order AND NOT EVEN FINISH THE FOOD!!!
well to be fair they film a TON of hours and then edit it down to lose the most dramatic so he may have very well finished it all while there or done what Nilsa did and take his leftovers home....I know he was still eating his while Nilsa was putting her leftovers in a container, so if he did the same then that's not a big deal, now if he had've maybe eaten 1 thing and sent the rest back to be thrown out then that'd be a different story but it doesn't look like he did that....now I'm not saying he was right in ordering like 6 things but a bet is a bet so lesson learnt, next time put rules in place like put a cap on the amount to be spent or say how much you're willing to spend and if the person goes over that then they need to pay the difference,....OR the winning teams bills be put together & the losing team each puts in their share, DON'T split everyone up like Nilsa decided to do in this instance, less drama that way, lol Kirk, Gus & Nilsa would've ordered their food then the bill would've came and Jeremiah, Mattie, Candace & Codi (can't remember if that's his name sorry) would've split it between them....problem solved

Hes young. He will look back at this and cringe (I found it difficult just to watch) but Gus persistently acted like a moron. Jeremiah is the alpha but Gus can't handle it so he does all of these negative things to pull attention his way. Jeremiah is simply above it.
