Just bought one, and it was the DCT that sold it. My dealership (CJ Ball of Norwich) lent me the bike foe 48 hrs. This, allowed me the time to get familiar and fall for the bike. I particularly like the walking ( forward & reverse) feature of the DCT which makes it really easy to move at low speed over my gravel drive. Agree with everything in the review, which as usual was excellent. Keep up the good work.
Just bought a new '21 B. Still figuring it out. The comfort is as expected. The DCT is absolutely awesome, but that wasn't a surprise. I've owned two VWs with a DCT. (Technically a VW and an Audi.) I don't want anything else. Ever. What strikes me is that the "mode" button actually means something. It totally changes the personality of the bike. Not just transmission mapping. "Sport" makes the throttle VERY quick. Bordering on twitchy. The sound is different, too. I don't think there are muffler bypasses, but it almost seems like it. I'm sure it's just engine mapping. ECON mode gives you a very gentle throttle response and very early upshifts. The engine has massive torque, and you just tractor around. It sounds (and feels, oddly enough) like a souped-up Dodge Cummins pickup. You know, that "throb" of torque. Like a locomotive. It makes the bike extremely tractable in low speed maneuvering too. TOUR mode puts you on a 2-wheeled Bentley Continental GT. SPORT is absolutely bonkers. And instead of a diesel now you've got a flat 6 Porsche. It sounds incredible. It's obviously an immensely heavy bike, but quite a bit lighter than its predecessor. I never rode that, but I can tell you that this one is surprisingly easy to handle. Very low center of mass. I've practiced some very tight low-speed maneuvers in a parking lot, and once you get over the initial sphincter-puckering you realize it's dead simple. (If you're not in Sport mode, anyway.) Easy to control. No drama at all. Don't even worry about U-turns. My basis for comparison was a BMW K-1200 LT, which I HATED. Goldwing weight, but VERY top heavy. Miserable thing. One long trip and then gone. It really put me off big touring bikes, but now I know what they CAN be. The "B" has a lower screen than the Tour version. A tall rider will be comfortable with the screen up, but it won't have the protection of the Tour model. You CAN, however, easily swap on the Tour screen, or even the accessory "tall" screen which is 4" taller than the Tour and a whopping 8" taller than the B screen. The B lacks the active suspension of the Tour. I can't compare the two, but zero complaints about the B suspension. It's spot on for me as a solo rider, at 200 lbs, and of course preload is adjustable. I'm told that you can add the Tour backrest and trunk. No doubt you can do anything if you throw enough money at it, but you can get a regular passenger backrest and a luggage rack, and there are some aftermarket box/backrests that would work. The pillion seat itself is exactly the same on both models so it's only a backrest issue. My wife detests motorcycles so I had no conceivable reason to get the Tour. My only beef is that the only color I could find available was the grey, which is a bit vanilla. A bagger in black looks like you should be wearing a cape and a Batman mask. If you're on the bubble: BUY THE WING. And believe me: GET THE DCT. Seriously. Get over it. You'll love it, and wonder how you ever lived without it.
Second time watching this. Beautiful machine and my favourite cruiser. The DCT just adds to the perfection. And very economical, plus it looks very agile. The ultimate tourer.
Thanks for watching again. I’d like to do some more content, but they tend to ship off the press fleets at this time of year in preparation for the next model year
I must’ve watched hours and hours of motorcycle reviews on RUclips but this is the most objective, well presented review I’ve ever watched. King regards from Barcelona!
Never thought I'd say this but the looks of that bike are growing on me. Wouldn't own one but wouldn't mind taking one out for a spin or a few day trip.
I have a 2015 Honda Valkyrie and I love it.After many many other bikes in my life now at 65 this is a wonderful machine. And I will buy one of the new Goldwings in a heartbeat DCT is awesome 👍 if there are people who reading this ever ridden a Yamaha Tmax 530 belt driven, they will know what I mean automatic gear change is so nice .special the DCT Honda Glowing Nice review 👍👍👍😄😄😁
The first thing that got me, and what I like the most about this video is the view from the driver's seat. I've already decided that I will be getting a Goldwing. I just like watching the videos in in the meantime. :-)
Very informative and watchable review. I do like slightly left-field choices for everyday riding and certainly do fancy the B version...trouble is I recently bought a Niken which is defo not a lot of folks choice. Enjoying your work.
Just picked up a 23 DCT Goldwing Bagger. In 50 years of riding its the best ever. Beats the ST1100 hands down.....never ever thought I'd say that. It'll make your curleys bristle.
Nice video ..... just need to win the lottery and get a bigger garage for all those bikes I have on my wish list . Particularly like the pcp info , a nice little touch with that . Appreciate time and effort you’ve put in on making these videos , especially if you have a full time job ! 👍
Having watched every single GWB video on RUclips at least 3 times, I have to say this is my favourite. I’m just waiting on the 2022 colour(s) 🤔 being announced. It will live alongside my 2009 Goldwing, the original and best, so what more could a man want.
Brilliant Review. You Put my mind at rest regarding the DCT. Was a bit skeptical about the ease of use. Getting my DCT 2021 Tourer in January. .... Thanks
The DCT gearbox does sound enticing, if in full manual mode with flappy paddle gear shift. I did have a go of an NC750s with DCT, it did want to change gear mid bend, which I wasn't keen on. I didn't have long enough to play with the bike to see if you could have it in manual mode. I guess if they connect up the IMU to not change gear when tipped into a bend, that could be a solution.
Yes the new DCT in both the Gold Wing and Africa Twin are linked to the six axis IMU, so the issue of changing mid bend is cured. Full manual mode is available with the hand controls, but I found the DCT to work so well I didn’t use it in full manual.
Our local Motorsports dealership doesn't allow test rides, otherwise I already would own a CRF1100 Africa Twin besides my Honda Goldwing and Suzuki. Oh well the Triumph/BMW/Ducati dealership allows test rides... I guess I will be shopping there in the future...
As a BMW K1300GT rider I am keen to seek out the next bike. Don't get me wrong, the K1300GT is one fine bike, it's super quick and super capable but at times it does feel slightly agricultural. For me the Honda falls short on storage, those side paniers seem really slender compared to the BMW. This is made worse because I do not like top boxes, to me they ruin a bikes lines so it leaves me to think how practical the Honda is. My BMW will take a full face helmet in either pannier and if I need to carry more then there's a decent back rack (or top box). Also my cases are detachable so I just take them inside when checking into a hotel or going camping. So, despite it's good looks, great tech and seemingly great ride I am not sure the Honda is moving the game forward. Nice review though :-)
Very enjoyable video thank you. Even a PCP deal would be too expensive for me so I will stick with my 08 GS for now but as I have got older GWs have become even more attractive to me 😉
I have my 2019 goldwing. Not the tourer, and my 1st wing. We can ride it from Florida to north Carolina on the highway all day. Then have fun in the twisties the next day. Remarkable bike, we love our dct.
Great review... I've had a1200 GS ADV, then I had a1250RT, undoubtedly fantastic motorcycles, then I test drove one of these while still owning the RT. Big mistake! I had to trade the RT which by now felt like a tractor compared to this. I have fallen in love with this machine and will never go back. The only real competitor to this goldwing in my view is the K1600B, but errr...no thanks. Just the cool looks alone make this bike top choice always on all aspects except luggage space, but I can live with that. Oh, did I mention DCT... wonderful !Happy riding
Nice recap FD! The RT is a fantastic machine, i’ve never ridden a GW. Comparing the Goldwing to your RT, the gold wing is about 200 pounds heavier than the RT. Do you find the GW significantly less nimble on twisty roads compared to the RT? I would think the extra bulk on the GW would make it something like a tank.
I would love to have one of these but not sure its what I actually need. Great review and camera work thanks. Is it possible to import routes to the Nav by Bluetooth?
Thanks, I’m not sure if you can Bluetooth it, but there is a usb socket for uploading. However they now have Apple CarPlay and android auto, so you can just use any compatible NAV software
Hi Very nice honest review! pcp on this bike, they still want 9% Greedy Honda, how do they expect to sell a £24000 DCT basic Bagger and then load it with an extra £3500 interest very Naughty, hope they get indigestion! many thanks for your Vid!!!
Thanks, indeed it’s an ‘easier’ way into the purchase, but you have to watch the interest for sure. Not naughty, as they are effectively lending you the money, but it’s a bit of a steep rate. I never buy anything on credit as that’s a very easy way to live beyond your means!
Sorry to hear about your ankle, I hope it's not serious, I was very impressed and interested in this bike however then I gotta thinking about the HD FATBOY. I can't decide. Any advice???
Thanks Dan, still waiting on the docs verdict. Yep Fatboy is a cool thing, but a different riding experience. Louder brasher and less refined maybe, but it’s a cool looking bike
@@mancavemoto have you riden the fatboy? I would be a fair weather rider these days weekend if weather is good or to and from work again if weather is good. I felt the wing would be over kill for that purpose although I love the gold wing. I can always attach saddle bag if going somewhere overnight. My only worry really is all that aluminium and chrome. I had a HD sporster before and the pitting was unbelievable (Irish weather) but then the bike was my only means of transport and used 6_7 days a week. I soon lost interest in keeping it clean
Having had the colour for 2022 confirmed this week as matte jeans metallic blue, I have amended my order and now have the long wait until it arrives. 59 days by sea from Japan to the Uk apparently. Will mine be the very first? Who wishes to bet I won’t see it before March next year?
So, my GW DCT ‘Bagger’ is finally arriving this month. My thanks to Doble’s Motorcycles for making this dream come true 😎. Am re-watching this great video to keep me smiling while I wait.
Ok everything very well, but what about to check and restore the back tyre air pressure on the bike, is it any trouble with that? I ask because someone I know was bitching about it. So, is it real? Thanks for your cooperation 👌🏻 Nice video!👍🏻
@@mancavemoto No, I definitely have any issue with that because I don’t ride or own the bike. Like I said, I’ve heard someone who does own a bike as yours that says that. And my question was only to seek confirmation. I’m not taking parties here. Thank you
OK, i think you may have misinterpreted my response from my wording. The rear tyre valve is easily accessible, so I didnt understand why someone would have a problem checking the tyre pressure? I don't own this bike, it was a press bike on loan for the review.
@@mancavemoto Yes, the guy I saw the video of, specific points that as a negative characteristic of the bike, but now I understand that it maybe is not an objective critique…Thank you for your response. One of this days I will test the bike myself, then there will remain no more doubts, after I do so 👍🏻
How narrow is the seat and frame? I've found that a low seat is easily canceled out if the seat and/or frame are wide. Harleys have low seats but their transmissions are super wide.
I'm planning to upgrade from Triumph Bonneville T100 to hondagoldwing...I have a decent amount of riding experience. How do you compare the differences. Will it be too heavy?
@@mancavemoto No you’re right, thats probably the best plan..(I’ve had my eye on some Bell helmets to be honest-will try them out first )....your review has really got me energised about this bike. The issue for me about this bike is not so much money- it’s experience.I have been driving cars and riding small motorbikes all my life so probably silly to go to an 1800cc in one bound even if it is dct?!! I’m not a speedster by nature I like to cruise so a touring bike is definitely for me. i think I need a mid sized bike first for a while before I safely make the switch..feel free to post your response if you know of any safe ways of speeding up the process...:))
What about the amount of wind on your hands? I live in the upper Northeast and my street glide keeps all the wind off my hands. This doesn't sound like much but this extends my riding season drastically.
A good question! It’s pretty good the fairing does a good job of deflecting the wind around you and the mirrors act like handguards. I didn’t have the opportunity to ride it in cold weather, but I think it will be OK. The heated grips are very good too but they obviously only do so much
I must admit when I saw Great Notley Tesco petrol station I woke up a bit. Then Queenborough Lane into Rayne and on to Shalford, past The George. Didn’t recognise the road after Finchingfield though.
@@johnedwards1685 yeah, it is nice to see local roads on RUclips. JayEmm is another big youtuber who loves to drive local; especially the road between Sible Hedingham and Wethersfield. 👍🏻
Good review Mate... couldn’t ever see me on that thing.. totally wouldn’t fit in my stable at all (ZZR14R, BMW K1600gtl, S1000rr and the last beast is Ducati V4R).. cheers and Up the Chelsea!
I like the review. Was just in a bmw dealership and saw the K bagger, which is very similar, ant thought it interesting. I think the beemer is prettier than the Honda, but of course that’s subjective. I think DCT transmissions on this kind of bike makes sense.
Thanks John, I’d like to try the K Bagger, but I’ve got no relationship with BMW. I need to find a friendly dealer, but its hard to get to review a bike objectively in a couple of hours
Well !! I did the race rep thing in the '90,s.... the retro thing in the '00,s...the adventure bike thing never appealed as I hate the looks, so I was thinking 'Am I getting too old for bikes now I'm in my '60s, rather than buy a Qashqai I want a f*****g matt-jeans-blue Goldie B, for wazzing around here in Spain, I'm a bit tired of being solitary and I hear Goldie clubs are everywhere, I could cover some miles on that sucka, thanks for the vid,👍✌️
I’m 5ft 10, so can’t really say, but given the size and the angle of the screen at it highest setting you should be ok. Surely a good excuse for a test ride?! ;)
I own a 2019 non tour, I am just shy of 6 ft tall. I replaced the stock wind screen with one a bit larger and tinted. Perfect protection and gives you options, from no wind to a fair amount in the lowered position.
Thanks for a nice relaxed informative video without begging me to subscribe to your channel I am seriously looking to buy a Gold Wing and need this type of feedback to help me make up my mind. Its not only the things you do mention but the the things that are not ~ this tells me how much you think of the bike
Thanks, not sure what you mean. Not really distracting as the reality is that you don’t use them much when riding. The key elements, mode, heated grips, screen etc are all single button clicks
I do like the look of that. Maybe when my 790 Adv is less of a novelty (which will take a while, I think) ... But then, BMW K1600B or Honda Goldwing B?
Very nice review and a reminder of just how versatile many bikes are, with the GW being perhaps the most luxurious and comprehensively configured. BTW - I loved the woman's comments about bikes and I've met some wonderfully interesting people on my reviews too. I hope your angle heals quickly and sorry to hear of it.
Thank you, indeed it’s a hell of a machine and was surprisingly practical. She was a real character and I knew I was in for a long chat when she put her bag down!
Hi Great Video liked it! The bagger in this colour scheme is fabulous! but absolutely no storage! side panniers are a joke! top box would look silly on this bike! Be careful everyone, the top end of buying this bike after paying for it for three years inc a £5880 pound deposit! is a full price of £26,257 that i was quoted! I would love to buy this bike or the Touring Roadster, (even better) if Honda in these difficult financial times would let these bikes out at 0% interest and this would in my opinion do Honda a great boost in sales too! but what a nice bike to have!!!
Great Vid! I want one but at £24000 with no heated seats and useless pillion grab rails no top box! Plus £9.00 pr week interest for 3 years , I think Honda have run me out of Runway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have nice Day Ponty Pete !
I've always liked the looks and, of course, the Honda mechanicals of the "B" model GoldWings.....(especially this red & black color scheme) But, I can not get past the seating position, feet stuck in the mid position, seated "above" the bike with the bars low to the shoulders. I hate it.... Also, as much as everyone gushes on about the DCT, I can't get my head around an auto shifting motorcycle. Clutch and shifter are the most important connection for rider to machine.... I'll NEVER ride without them...EVER
Good. More for the rest of us. My first DCT bike and I'm instantly in love. If you MUST move your foot for some odd reason you can actually add a foot shifter to use in manual mode. Either way the computer is MUCH better than you. There is a reason why the most high-tech race cars on Earth, Formula One, have DCT transmissions. Can't help you with the seating position. (Highway pegs are a thing, you know.) But the DCT? "We mock what we do not understand."
I just came screaming up to a stoplight in SPORT and MANUAL modes, and thumb-shifted down through the gears. Anyone listening to you will think they're in the presence of greatness. The sound of the rev-matching will put a permanent grin on your face. You can't screw up. Ever. Leave it in AUTO and SPORT and the computer will do it all for you. It's absolutely sick.
I have a gs1250 which I love and don’t want to change but as a second bike and something completely different really fancy adding this to the garage. Is it something that you could still use around the Peak District, Scotland Wales or is it just a motorway miles cruncher.
I found I could use it for pretty much anything (other than off-road) 😂 I rode it alot around the country lanes where I live and it was brilliant. Its more than just a mile muncher for sure
Just tested one of these today, unbelievable! Loved it. Very tempted...and I'm not 40 yet 😂 Only one thing I noticed, some other riders don't nod back! WTF 🤔😂
Just use the throttle, its got a very gentle feed in of power. You can't stall the DCT bike, so thats not something to worry about. Much like a standard bike I use a light dab of pressure on the rear brake for an added bit of control and to make the bike squat a little.
Views from the Man Cave ok thank you I’m 6ft 3” so just wondered if I would be still be in a pocket of calm with the screen up. I’m sure they would do a taller screen if not. Great review by the way. 👍
I think so, as I didn’t get any buffeting at all with the screen up at its highest position. Actually you can hear the difference on the audio in some places where I move the screen
This great bike is wasted on the M1 try a german Autobahn if you ever get the chance." Nobody has to drive as fast as they can but in germany on the Autobahn you can drive as fast as you want" The green pest are trying to change that so use the possibility for as long as one can.
Thankfully I try to avoid the M1 whenever can, but I understand your point ;) I plan to be hitting some autobahns in the future, who knows if i'll get a chance to do it on a Goldwing?
The ride bobbles up and down and sways side to side like my Hula Girl bobblehead doll on my dashboard, It's not like a sport bike with hydraulic forks.
It goes up and down, but it doesn’t sway from side to side. The advantage of the double wishbone suspension is the front wheel goes straight up and down and not diagonally backwards as it does on standard forks. Admittedly it’s a heavier unit, but it’s smooth as silk
I always feel, perhaps unfairly, that when a design team or indeed owner, slaps matt black paint over the bike - it is a sign of despair or desperation. Is the model not selling? Have they alienated the existing enthusiasts and failed to bring in a new demographic to offset the losses?
I have to admit I don't share this point of view. Its a great finish and I don't think its indicative of any 'problems'. No doubt they have focus groups for things like colours and liveries that feed into these decisions? When i look at the range, this would be my first pick of colour. I think it looks superb
Ride a Goldwing once and you realize it's the Holy Grail. Very eye opening experience. Needless to say I bought one lol
Enjoy!

It’s a bike I’ve never considered but boy has it changed for the better I’d definitely have one. A word with Santa me thinks
Have you been a good enough boy this year?
That Batbike pic will enable Honda to sell 100s, it is so cool.
I do really like it and I never thought i'd find myself saying that
Great review...
Thanks, and it indeed surprised me. If I had that sort of cash kicking around I’d buy one. I never thought I’d say that about a Goldwing
Somebody's really enjoying life rite there !! You should be a Honda Sales Rep !!
Thats how this bike makes you feel!
Fantastic review. Thanks for posting it.
No problem
Such a cool bike! I really dig the new design.
I think so too!
Interesting review. Looks that could kill but clearly pcp looks like the best way to go. Considering going that way with the Africa Twin.
Thanks, it certainly makes the bikes accessible, but at a price of course
I would be afraid something run out that cornfield right in front of the bike but that's probably only me
Just gotta keep your eyes peeled....
Same thing I was thinking.
I've just seen that and its gorgeous! I hope it gets here quickly for you, Enjoy!
So, my GW DCT ‘Bagger’ is finally arriving this month. My thanks to Doble’s Motorcycles for making this dream come true 😎. Am re-watching this great video to keep me smiling while I wait.
I have 2015 Valkyrie awesome bike ,but will buy this very soon
Got it yet, Richard? Good choice.
Amazing bike. definitely the best family bike
Ok everything very well, but what about to check and restore the back tyre air pressure on the bike, is it any trouble with that? I ask because someone I know was bitching about it. So, is it real?
Thanks for your cooperation 👌🏻
Nice video!👍🏻
I don't see why someone would have an issue? The valve is easily accessible
Its pretty narrow at the point of the seat.
I'm planning to upgrade from Triumph Bonneville T100 to hondagoldwing...I have a decent amount of riding experience. How do you compare the differences. Will it be too heavy?
Its certainly a very different bike! it is a heavy bike, but the seat height is low as is the centre of gravity.
Lovely vid thanks. Do you have any tips for buying a helmet?
Thanks John, my tip is to try as many as you can, get advice from a reputable dealer and buy the one that fits best. Vague I know.....
I’m not a speedster by nature I like to cruise so a touring bike is definitely for me. i think I need a mid sized bike first for a while before I safely make the switch..feel free to post your response if you know of any safe ways of speeding up the process...:))
superb video, well made and informative 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺
Thanks Rod
at 5:44 I was like "Oh No!! get out of the way!"...."Oh wait. He's British"
Ha! that always gets my American viewers...
The heated grips are very good too but they obviously only do so much
Nice review. I'm a Braintree boy born and bred and hammer my Super Blackbird down those very same roads. 👌🏻😁
Cheers, nice I may well have passed you at some point
@@mancavemoto no doubt!
@@johnedwards1685 oh, and that road you mention is the road that runs between Finchingfield and Stambourne.
Good review Mate... couldn’t ever see me on that thing.. totally wouldn’t fit in my stable at all (ZZR14R, BMW K1600gtl, S1000rr and the last beast is Ducati V4R).. cheers and Up the Chelsea!
Cheers, and yep no I get it. That’s quite a stable!
Views from the Man Cave thanks.. keeps me from having rows with the Mrs lol
Top review! Great bike.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review. The bike was obviously very suitable for you. What is your height? Thank you.
Thanks I’m 5ft 10in with a 32 inch inside leg
@@mancavemoto I am just a wee bit taller. So, expect the bike should for me perfectly. Thanks
I think so too, cheers
That jeans blue bike is lovely andI can just imagine wafting around the spanish roads on it.....lovely
Great video!!
Thanks!
*I am in love!!*
I might just have to sell my ZX10R in favor of this Bagger!! 😍😍❤️❤️
My girls sure would love it 🤣
I fell in love with it, such a fun machine to ride
What a nice video !
Good job
Thank you very much!
3:18 freaked me out for a second thinking you were on the wrong side of the road.
😆
Good video. I would love this bike.
You and me both!
Hi sir did f6b have track control?
How tall are you mate? I hear you say the screen works great for you with no buffeting. Just wondering if it will work for my height too at 6 feet.
Spot on review as usual. The look of the bike is like the outtro music, pure porn.
Thanks 😂
Unlike most commenters I'm 6'4 with a 35" inside leg and find the Goldwing a bit cramped and my foot hits the cylinder head which is really annoying.
Great review!
Thanks
Thanks for a nice relaxed informative video without begging me to subscribe to your channel I am seriously looking to buy a Gold Wing and need this type of feedback to help me make up my mind. Its not only the things you do mention but the the things that are not ~ this tells me how much you think of the bike
No problem. I came to the review expecting not to like it, but I ended up loving it. Oh and a sub wouldn’t hurt 😉
You could say she's got it all - Whole Lotta Goldie ;-)
Oh yes!
Nice review.. not for those roads . There seems to be a lot of distraction going in front so many buttons and settings.
Thanks, not sure what you mean. Not really distracting as the reality is that you don’t use them much when riding. The key elements, mode, heated grips, screen etc are all single button clicks
Every bike you review I want to buy
I'm up to 7 re-mortgages now
You bastard
Hahahahaha............sorry 😂
I do like the look of that. Maybe when my 790 Adv is less of a novelty (which will take a while, I think) ... But then, BMW K1600B or Honda Goldwing B?
I'm sure the 790 Adv won't wear off, they are cracking bikes. Yes a tricky choice, i've not ridden the beemer so can't offer an opinion
I wish Honda would put Traction Control(HSTC) on the Bagger!
Yes, that’s only available on the ‘tour’ version isn’t it?
Very nice review and a reminder of just how versatile many bikes are, with the GW being perhaps the most luxurious and comprehensively configured.
BTW - I loved the woman's comments about bikes and I've met some wonderfully interesting people on my reviews too. I hope your angle heals quickly and sorry to hear of it.
Thank you, indeed it’s a hell of a machine and was surprisingly practical. She was a real character and I knew I was in for a long chat when she put her bag down!
Cant make my mind up between this and the new 1250 RT?
It'll be fun test riding both to see which you prefer!
Thanks, a lower APR would be good to see
Do you have to be at a standstill to change between the three riding modes ?
No you can switch between them on the move.
Great Vid! I want one but at £24000 with no heated seats and useless pillion grab rails no top box! Plus £9.00 pr week interest for 3 years ,
I think Honda have run me out of Runway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have nice Day Ponty Pete !
Cheers Pete, yep lovely bike but lots of dosh!
would you buy one ? pete!
@@mancavemoto
If I had the money, I probably would
Have a great Day suns out here in west yorks!!!@@mancavemoto
I'm guessing it has 24 valves? Service charges must be enormous.
No idea on service charges unfortunately.
Nice review mate :-)
Cheers Russ
nice review... but. I'll stick with my '81 GL1100 Goldwing & '97 GL1500C F6C. ;-)
Those big red text blocks are well dangerous. Especially approaching a roundabout. Hard to see the approaching traffic!
😂
33 degrees in the UK? wow, is that common?
Not overly, but we do get a few days in the summer where it hits those temps.
Convincing my wife is the most difficult part . . .
Remember its easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.......
What can Gold WIng do about the sewing machine sound,
Nothing, Honda don't need to do anything, its the sound of a well engineered six cylinder motor.
What did you mean by " averaged mid 50's mpg", for us from non English speaking, metric countries?
Does that mean 45 mpg, 55 mpg or 25 mpg?
Mid as in Middle, so yep 55ish
@@mancavemoto Thanks. In Europe mid 50 means 45, because it's a half of a fifth decade
Thanks for letting me know
I have a gs1250 which I love and don’t want to change but as a second bike and something completely different really fancy adding this to the garage.
Loved it. Very tempted...and I'm not 40 yet 😂
Only one thing I noticed, some other riders don't nod back! WTF 🤔😂
It’s so nice to ride isn’t it! Maybe they were jealous 😂
How do you do a tight u turn with no clutch?
Just use the throttle, its got a very gentle feed in of power. You can't stall the DCT bike, so thats not something to worry about. Much like a standard bike I use a light dab of pressure on the rear brake for an added bit of control and to make the bike squat a little.
Throttle control is everything. Practice makes perfect. 👌
Marvelous British accent, sir.
Thanks
I want one
me too
Can I ask how tall you are please
5ft 10in
Views from the Man Cave ok thank you I’m 6ft 3” so just wondered if I would be still be in a pocket of calm with the screen up. I’m sure they would do a taller screen if not. Great review by the way. 👍
I think so, as I didn’t get any buffeting at all with the screen up at its highest position. Actually you can hear the difference on the audio in some places where I move the screen
Greta vid Tony..Tempted?/
I would be, but my bank account says no 😂
This great bike is wasted on the M1 try a german Autobahn if you ever get the chance." Nobody has to drive as fast as they can but in germany on the Autobahn you can drive as fast as you want"
The green pest are trying to change that so use the possibility for as long as one can.
Don't knock it, the only colour you can get with the 2021 model is officially called Mud Grey. 🤦♂️
Should have gave the lady a little ride, even if only around the block.
I did think about it, but i didn’t have a second helmet
@@mancavemoto Good point.
