I am not a Christian (although I do admire Catholicism) and have my own spiritual belief. But regardless, I absolutely hate it when religions change their originality, their beliefs and systems for praise, power or popularity. I hate it because religion should be a beacon for its own believers and hold them to a high standard. It should stand between the faith of it's believers and general madness. When a religion fails to do so, it's lost.

i think that is the correct decision. If the church doesn't champion the teachings of the bible what does it do. Not a popularity contest is it!. We speak every week on the phone/Facebook . and he visits us regularly. WE love him very much , but we respect each others different view point on Gay Marriage / same sex relationships . The Church of England does not reflect the Church of Jesus Christ in this particular stance. Jesus loved everyone! But he did not condone sin. The church needs to go back to biblical values. I am not against the Church of England, as I was confirmed in the Church of England, I currently listen to sermons from someone who is a vicar in the church of England, and I went to the Church of England a few years ago and was very active in the fresh expressions of the church of England department shall we say. However, the Bible does not condone this or would it agree. Marriage was designed by God to be between one man and one woman only. Therefore it is not right to water down the Bible and change the church to fit in with society and its beliefs. Why should we do that? You can either agree with what the Bible says, or disagree. Well this is interesting. I am entirely in favour of gay marriage. However, whether that should be a church marriage is debatable because in the Catholic church and the CoE, and in scripture, marriage is a special sacrament between a man and a woman for life. As a divorced person, I can't be married in church, and I am fine with that and don't regard myself as a 2nd class citizen. I was very happy that my 2nd marriage could be blessed in church.

For someone who is struggling with homosexuality and looks to their faith to alleviate the anguish only for the church to capitulate to the LGBT community would do a disservice to that person. Then, just for clarity, He condemned single sex union to be immoral, punishable by death. He then reiterated this point several times throughout His manifesto, which we Christians call the Bible. To be sure that there was no confusion about the matter when He sent His Son to act as our Messiah, the point was restated again, numerous times throughout the Greek Scriptures, which some refer to as the New Testament. This avoided the problem of allowing some to differentiate between the Hebrew Scriptures and the Greek Scriptures (or Old and New Testaments). Finally, He included the most important statement of all, just to provide the cherry on top of the cake. "I AM Jehovah, I have not changed". Hope this helps. It's a step forward and progress but as they said it isn't equality. I am not a Christian (although I do admire Catholicism) and have my own spiritual belief. But regardless, I absolutely hate it when religions change their originality, their beliefs and systems for praise, power or popularity. The Church of England has only been around since the 16th century. It exists because Henry VIII wanted a church that would grant him a divorce. Not sure how this origin gives this church any standing on the sanctity of marriage.

Marriage was designed by God to be between one man and one woman only.

However, whether that should be a church marriage is debatable because in the Catholic church and the CoE, and in scripture, marriage is a special sacrament between a man and a woman for life. As a divorced person, I can't be married in church, and I am fine with that and don't regard myself as a 2nd class citizen. I was very happy that my 2nd marriage could be blessed in church.

A lot of gays grew up in the Church and have felt love and acceptance from God as they are, despite the views from the Church. These people still consider themselves Christians and would rather stay in the Church. It's not that complicated.

What the world needs is a university that educates women on how to be pious, knowledgeable, loving, kind, chaste and beautiful wives. The graduates from this prestigious university would've gotten so many marriage requests. No need for you to be licentious and attract semi possessed men at the bars in order to find love. Rather the best men would line up to get your hand after graduation, and you'd feel like a princess. Your dowry would increase. Actually, yes it does. And not only does it say it once, it says it several times.
First, God gave the model for marriage - one man, one woman.
Then, just for clarity, He condemned single sex union to be immoral, punishable by death.
He then reiterated this point several times throughout His manifesto, which we Christians call the Bible.
