    This was superb. Thank you, Jenn. I'll be starting a RUclips channel soon and am torn between the two. Price is a factor! While I still haven't decided, at least I better understand the differences, so this video was key.

    I was considering Motion Array, for the ease of getting all the stuff i need, but since i am only starting out now and am lightyears away from earning (if ever) any money, either options are very expensive. 1 year paid up front is a lot of money

    Thank you for the comparison Jenn! :) To me the big plus of Motion Array is that you get to pick a monthly subscription. I find it hard to pay 500$ directly without being sure I will need it and use it daily or weekly. So I am definitely not going to take the Artlist subscription.

    Hey just last night I bought a one year subscription to Motion Array thru your link! How much they pay you for that? Just wondering for affiliate curiosity reasons 😅

    I do notice that you may need to choose the best search terms for videos on both services, for example, to get optimal results for scenes. Do you have any suggestions about how to construct your searches?

    • @JennJager
      @JennJager  Год назад +1

      Honestly, for me it's very trial and error. I start with pretty specific searches and if I can't find what I'm looking for, I'll broaden out the search terms. I find that a lot of the sites (particularly Storyblocks) have very "spammy" keyword tags, so shots that don't really fit your search end up in results. I find that Artlist is more accurate in terms of keyword searches.

    Your content is top notch. You have so many subscribers but such few views lately I feel bad. Can you explain what happened? I think it would make an interesting video. Were the subscribers only interested in one topic?

    • @JennJager
      @JennJager  Год назад

      Thanks! I think it’s just that my content is so varied- some get lots of views while others don’t. My strategy is more search based, plus I focus on making content with high CPM so even if i get fewer views, I make more ad revenue. Here’s a video that talks about it a bit: The RUclips Algorithm Explained | And Why it Can Seem Unfair

    Should mention that I use standard Artist (not Max) for music and sound effects and Canva for stock images and video. I have looked at a couple of the 'all you can eat' services like Motion Array and Envato, but haven't been tempted yet. But...instead...I have a VERY serious plugin habit and have spent, probably, far too much money with Pixel Film Studios but I do like their products and use them all the time now. At the moment I am building some historical presentations for classroom use and have used Premium VFX Timeline from my training sessions and, in light of that, I would be very keen to learn how you would composite images and video to make what I call 'living slides' - that is, slides I could use in my classroom presentations that are not static (Death by Powerpoint!) but are comprised of videos and images 'embedded' into dynamic backgrounds (similar to Premium VFX timeline.) Grateful for your thoughts on how best to do this. Scotland loves you!

      I'm sorry I can't help you with what you need, mate. I just want to say that Envato in terms of SXF and music, especially music but also SFX, is not a match for Artlist. The FCPX stuff you'll find is not great either. It's the stock video and pictures that give it value, and the price, of course.
      Good luck with your search!
      Cheers
