I recently started going back to the gym after about like a year. I still worked out at home and went on hikes and I like to go outside and stuff so I’m still in decent shape but I tried to lift 145 which was my two or three rep max I can’t rememberand it and it fell on my chest. I didn’t wanna cause a scene mainly because there were a bunch of girls around and well that would’ve been embarrassing. Long story short I can’t do it anymore.
Fair point, but the person who can do a front lever can achieve back lever in just a matter of days since the body usually adapts to more difficult mobility movements than difficult strength movements
Back lever has always been something I could do since a little kid, but I’m still only on the tucked front lever rows in terms of progression for front lever
@@phimtairental-pe2oj I think their talking about this specific situation cuz if u fall in the first one ur gonna hit ur head on the rusty metal thing covered with algae and moss, but in the second one it's in a gym with lots of mats
the first one looks veryyyy easy because ive done that on bars but the SECOND one looks soooo hard because ive tried doing that on bars but i kept falling so it takes alot of practice for that
My guess is for the 1st one you can grab on for more support and the 2d one it's more about core strength to hold yourself since it's more targeted I'd assume so. But also lifting your whole body isn't so easy it's like a pushup versus a plank it's the same thing but for pushup you go down and back up while maintaining a plank position.
for some reason i have been able to do the 1st one my whole life and have never trained for calisthenics except these past 2 weeks because i have been learning it now
Mainly because in the first clip all pressure comes to shoulder’s joints and back’s muscles, which tend to be stronger than muscles used in the second clip (front muscles mainly, like abs). Btw respect to that guy who did the second trick with no hesitation, like he made it look easy 💀💀 (I low-key couldn’t even get to the position NOT TALKING ABOUT KEEPING THE STATIC)
The first video is much easier since you’re using your shoulders to prevent your body from rotating any further, more of a balance act… The second one is pure strength all across the board. Big difference
The first one, by him flipping backward like that it brings his shoulders to a locking point so you can’t go past it much more, you can but you might break something, and also your muscle strength can support your shoulders while on the second one it’s basically all muscle

It’s because he’s doing it on a rusty wood over water and you’re doing it in a gym also he’s showing more muscle and he’s very tight and he’s stretching down. but the skill you’re doing looks easy because it’s a skill that looks like a pull up but yes you’re right it’s WAY harder if you don’t have enough strength.
The front lever is harder because your arms can go further up but they can only go back a little behind you It requires less effort to keep the arms in that spot
Firstly children have more flexibility and every child can do that, it’s not a question of muscle rather age weight etc. that guy can only do it because he is way fitter. 2nd, wait 3 more years to return to youtube lil guy

I agree, the front lever also requires some lower back strength.
Front lever is not mostly abs, it’s more back strength then the first move, the first move is more about shoulders and also biceps
The first video is much easier since you’re using your shoulders to prevent your body from rotating any further, more of a balance act… The second one is pure strength all across the board. Big difference
The greatest compliment you can get is that what you’re doing looks easy
