I like your stuff because you are just talking to us like an ordinary guy. I create jokes, so I'll give you one: Black Forest Cookoo Clocks have a cookoo bird that says "cookoo". If you replace the bird with a pig, what do you have? You have a Black Forest Ham.
Thank you for the kind words and for making me laugh. That was cute. I taught some sort of class for over 15 of the 20 years that I was in the military. People liked my teachings. I try to explain things so everyone can understand. The experienced people who watch my videos can agree or disagree with what I am saying where the unexperienced people can gain as much knowledge from me as possible.
My 1916 GK cuckoo quail movement is giving me a challenge. It did not want to stay running after cleaning. It did stay running dirty! Anyway I noticed the wear groove in the u shaped thingy that the pendulum goes in. I adjusted it wider, since I didn't have a replacement on hand. Then I noticed a groove in the birch on one side. I didn't think that was supposed to be there, so I filed it as smooth as I could. So far the clock is staying runing.
With the pendulum on and viewing from the rear. Then spread what I call the foot apart some. Then watch it if the pendulum leader wire when it stops is touching the left side of the foot then bend the crutch in the middle slightly so that foot goes toward the left. If it is touching the right side of the foot when it stops then bend the crutch in the middle so the foot goes to the right. I hope this makes since. Always bend the crutch in the middle. Let me know how it works out. If you have a beat amplifier or if you have good hearing then you will know when you are getting close. I always watch the leader wire. If it stays too much on one side of the foot vs the other side then I will bend the crutch so that the foot goes toward the side that it is staying to long on. If that makes since.
Great video Mark!
Thanks Seth. Glad that you liked it.

Not sure what the birch is that you filed. But as long as it is running then keep doing what you are doing.
@@munnerlyn3 sorry verge not birch
That makes more since. So is it still ticking away after these altercations?
@@munnerlyn3 yes overnight with no pendulum. Stopped with a pendulum. Still trying to get it right
