Meanwhile I personally know four cases of Seltos 1.4 and 1.5 GDI owners facing frequeny reliability issues and are losing trust in their cars as a result (one of them purchased a second cheaper car for the city because of DCT failures in his seltos). These turbo GDI korean cars will be fun to drive until about 100k kms which is when they start to disintegrate like someone pushed a self-destruct button. 3. As a owner of elevate since 6 months there are few things which makes daily driving not easy - 1. Lack of under tigh support in the front seats and lack of foot area this cause pain in the tigh and ankle after long drive 2. please dont take the dual tone as during hot summer - the area around the sun roof area gets super hot in summer even with the sun roof cover you will feel the heat on top of your head while driving and after few hrs both the front passengers will feel the heat and you will be exhuasted after driving. I am not able to find the solution to this and i am disappointed with the lack of engineering skills being executed in this car i was able to improve the under tigh support and lower back support. I took the car to a seat fabricator, and he added extra firm foam in the under tigh area and lumbar support area now the seat feels like a recliner. I am very happy with this solution.
We have a 2020 Creta as a family car which my father owns. I loved its effortless drive, but I just booked 2024 elevate for myself. Dunno why but elevate felt really really good during test drive as compared to all other cars i have test driven. I found it to be vfm as well. "Dunno why but elevate felt really really good during test drive as compared to all other cars i have test driven..." Exactly my reason for opting Elevate over other cars.
I have a Honda city from last 7 years zero means 0 problems at all climbs hills like no joke effort less has size but still makes you feel so nimble and agile to drive
The base variant are the most highest selling varient but are being ignored by every channel. The base creta is 1 lks cheaper than the elevate with better rear seats and better mileage. Elevate has a slightly powerful engine but many prefer comfort and milage over power.
Prashant bhaiya no comparison with elevate. HONDA just launched a baby SUV which is we called Elevate, they are not more interested in selling toy cars like koreans do, hope u understood the difference.
@@Punitsaini0732 none of these are SUV's. They are just jacked up hatchbacks. Honda has an advantage in built quality but I feel overall creta is a better car for an average Indian and that's the reason creta sells like hot cakes whereas elevates sales numbers are pethatic.
2 major shortcomings in the Elevate: 1. 40 litre fuel tank while others in this segment get 45-50 litres. 2. Cruise control only on the top end ZX variant. VX should've gotten atleast a basic cruise control. Apart from these, the Elevate is an all rounder

In the entire segment, the Honda ELEVATE gives the most SUV like feel❤ I have been driving the car for the last two months ZX CVT, an ultra refined smooth engine with plenty of features for any normal person and the most comfortable seats and extremely spacious cabin⭐

Car makes noise only when it rev ( on sudden acceleration ) and that's the nature of the engine . in fact its a silent engine than any other car in this segment .
Bought new creat diesel mt completed 7500 in 3months very good car Pros 1. Excellent mileage 20+ 2. Comfortable ride in city and stable in highway 3. AC is a chiller 4. Good Nvh in segment Overall happy with purchase I tested honda elevate very harsh suspension and Nvh is very bad .just like my old city which i Bought in 2011 sold it in 2016 because of its ground clearance. Even now i like Honda as a brand but waiting for a good honda car to buy one.
I think the area in which Honda is lacking is Marketing..Same applicable to CITY 5th Gen as well Because Interiors of Elevate are better than Grand Vitara, hyryder but they have hybrid tech Just doing good marketing can increase the sales of the Elevate Honda being Honda can't add features before facelift like VW/Skoda did in their 2.0 cars Also not offering multiple engines option..if mot turbos then they should have offered hybrid by localising in India like what maruti did.. But for that company should take indian market seriously not by taking customers for granted.. If I become CEO of Honda india then first thing I will do is launching Sub4m SUV with best features and 1.0 VTEC TURBO Engine then City new generation with increased ground clearance to 180mm and crazy marketing of it and Will add features to the Elevate making it par to the Korean twins and also hybrid engine..Amaze New Gen with 1.2 NA and 1.0 turbo and multiple features then launch Civic/CRV by CBU/CKD route limited units making the portfolio look much better for the customer that he/she won't leave the showroom without booking any car.. Also the last thing,Will get all cars tested from GNCAP/BNCAP and if scored 5 star then additional marketing for it
One thing I will like to add is that the Elevate is not for someone who is above 6 feet. I don’t know why Honda does this but they have restricted the seat travel for the front seats which makes it uncomfortable for taller passengers and the under thigh support is poor in both front and rear seats. Also the NVH is extremely poor. Let me know if any other tall passenger has had a different experience with the elevate.
Is this true? I was Looking at the Kusahq but my 6"2 body made me feel like I'm a giant in a dwarf's car, now considering Creta or Elevat. If what you are saying is true then I'm only left with Creta unless for some reason I consider scorpio N Ughhh
If someone want to impress others then go for ' Creata ' . If someone want to satisfy yourself n yrfmly then best choice is non other than ' Elevate ' in entire segment
If you want all those creta features then you need to spend a lot. 2L+ most probably. In that budget I will go for 1.5L turbo Kushaq. Because its engine that should matter the most. Or else i will pick elevate anyday.
Yes PD. They are in race! Creta is winning for sure. But when someone have 20L to spend, it’s confusing. Because both are missing specs in that price bracket! I am getting elevate zx cvt 19.25L on road where as Creta IVT Tech line (not a top model) around 21.5L on road. So I gave up and postponed my decision to buy a SUV for now!
Those who wants to opt for hyundai ivt ,i just have one question regarding its reliability. As a newbie the only source of knowledge regarding cvt transmission is internet.and the one thing everyone agrees to is the regular transmission fluid replacement for healthy cvt . On contrary hyundai claims their ivt transmission fluid to be lifelong . FYI cost of replacement of ivt or cvt is around 4.5 -5lakh
honda has the better NA engine and dynamics creta and seltos only advantage is their turbo engines those not interested in gimmicks will choose elevate
It's a value for money proportion and cheaper in terms of price by 2-3 lacs compared to competitors but also doesn't lack in power as NA of Honda is way better than Hyundai's NA and VW's 1.0 3 cyl tsi.. Elevate lacks in marketing, outdated interiors, features and not having more powerful turbo petrol engines Also Dynamics, handling, safety, ride quality etc Elevate is much better than Korean twins
@Varun : ur wrong brother! Honda Elevate- Good value for money, spacious, suspension and drive position is amazing. Service way less than Hyundai. No much/much on electronics 😊
fell in love with Honda elevate ever since it launched. I dnt want moonroof I dont want ventilated seat dont care about 360° camera. All I care about is Engine which will run smooth even after 20+ years.
Creta didn't feel more spacious to me. It lacked in leg room which is way more important than how wide the seat is and let's be honest the middle passenger is not gonna be comfortable in both for long hours. Since we had a verna which lacked in leg space too Honda felt more comfy. My knees wore literally touching in creta when I adjusted the driver's seat acc to my height which is 5'10
What about the engine and road noise ? Im actually confused , can anyone give some input. I have taken test ride but its hard to determine. Anyone who has had long term experience please do share.
This is the age of features, looks, lifestyle. How is the chasis in terms of weight, safety? Driving dynamics? Steering feedback? Body roll? Stability? Feel? Emotion? Engineering?
useful features Elevate lacks: -standard equipment ventilated seats -powered driver seat -rear disc brakes -360 camera & front parking sensors -dashcam -all window one-touch up-down These things are offered by the competition & will be very useful for the largest vehicle (Elevate) in this segment. In order to keep prices competitive, Honda can add these features and make sunroof optional. Those who want sunroof can pay extra meanwhile for others, more relevant features will be well within their budget. Elevate has the largest boot & highest ground clearance in its segment.
It’s the same cvt gearbox used in both. If you maintain it shouldn’t degrade. Creta should give slightly better mileage than elevate elevate is slightly heavier.
Holy cow! All the people in the comment section praise Elevate as if it is product from god itself and buy the Hyundai. What a joke the comment section is!😂
Creta indeed has latest tech and many more features than Elevated but I think Elevate is more practical in terms that it has more ground clearance than Creta especially when 5 people sit in both cars , Crta feels very low from rear, If u r passing through a road filled with monsoon waters how wil 360 degree camera help but a little better water wading capacity can, further in rear offroading the high ground clearance means you won't have to feel anxious, besides Elevate is hardly seen on roads tat adds to The charm factor while creta is seen everywhere
i dont know why Honda is not working on NVH levels. its the same issue in city, amaze and elevate.I have pasted damping sheets in boot and doors but honda cars have lot of gaps such as between fender and door from inside and between bonnet area and dashboard . These areas cant be damped aftermarket. This is the only practical issue with Honda cars.
No matter how much people praise elevate the sales numbers speaks a completely different story. The sheer reason for this the long list of features provided by creta. It just looks more futuristic. The big screen and panromic sunroof and window blinds are just instant sell. Ventilated sheet is also a big feature miss on Elevate part.
Honda is at capacity when it comes to Elevate! They cannot produce more cars so sales cannot go beyond current numbers unless their capacity increases. Plus they are exporting to Japan as well as African countries from same inventory. Right now, Elevate is the most imported Car in Japan!!!
Ventilated seats you'll find in Tata small car also . And mostly everyone installs a seat cover so ventilated seats useless. Seat electronically adjustable option only will be used very rarely compared to other things in car. Aslo cause it's slow moving .. and if some electronics brakes the. Headache And nobody is too old to bend down and pull a lever or pull a lever. To adjust it manually. Cameras also reversing and adas one in Honda is sufficient. 360 degree camera also will be used rarely. No one will use it while driving .. will get distracted after some time of use
"Honda" is encashing on its brand value by delivering less for more... that's my opinion and Hyundai is a car of mass appeal just like Maruti... so I won't buy either.
The CRETA SX (O) is almost 3.5 lakhs more expensive than the Top Model of the Elevate! The Creta equivalent for the Elevate top model is the S (O) variant, when you compare these two there is no comparison !
Simple choice if u want to keep a car for long term Its a honda .. If u planning on changing every 2 years go Hyundai is best option as they update their model every 6 months 😅
All said and done, still Creta is the darling of people and Elevate is no where around. Actually matter of the case is that customers know the best and they are buying creta for the same reason. Honda tried to push a half baked, Seltos look-alike product to Indian customer and assumed that buyers will take the bait and they didn't. Honda never took India seriously because they know that they have already lost the game to others. They just want to stay here as long as they can and then may be a tata bye bye just like many others.
Elevate is the most imported car in Japan! They are not pushing this car in India because they are at their production capacity!!! Exporting lower end versions to Africa and Higher end versions to Japan. Honda knows Indian customers, and catering this car to a specific base. They don't expect this car to be a chart buster in India because it doesn't offer the stupid bling that a lot of Indians fall for, or the milage that most Indians look for. It offers best of the basics that makes car a good car. No wonder it can't beat others in India, a market where car drivers care about sunroof but barely touch indicators stick. 😂
How much time does it take to insulate the Elevate🤔. Its the common voice from all the customers from day one. They have even added some safety features recently, but no updates on insulations yet! To be honest, im waiting for this update..to buy Elevate!!

i was able to improve the under tigh support and lower back support.
At the end of the day, i think it’s pretty much individual choices. Both are good cars.
Absolutely told the truth!! No one except a very few get the top end variants but these channels forget to cover the best sellers..
Wise words @prashanth!
Mileage and Hyundai petrol engines don't go well on the same line mate. But definitely Ivtec 1.5 can easily give you 13 kmpl average efficiency.
2 major shortcomings in the Elevate:
1. 40 litre fuel tank while others in this segment get 45-50 litres.
2. Cruise control only on the top end ZX variant. VX should've gotten atleast a basic cruise control.
Apart from these, the Elevate is an all rounder
@yateshasher4872 ya , even i felt same..only 40 liters tank.. im elevate owner too

Pros
1. Excellent mileage 20+
2. Comfortable ride in city and stable in highway
3. AC is a chiller
4. Good Nvh in segment
Overall happy with purchase
I tested honda elevate very harsh suspension and Nvh is very bad .just like my old city which i Bought in 2011 sold it in 2016 because of its ground clearance.
Even now i like Honda as a brand but waiting for a good honda car to buy one.
90% people don't need a sunroof...adas etc.... good looks...good engine .. decent mileage... brand value.... That's it....
I think the area in which Honda is lacking is Marketing..Same applicable to CITY 5th Gen as well
Because Interiors of Elevate are better than Grand Vitara, hyryder but they have hybrid tech
Just doing good marketing can increase the sales of the Elevate
Honda being Honda can't add features before facelift like VW/Skoda did in their 2.0 cars
Also not offering multiple engines option..if mot turbos then they should have offered hybrid by localising in India like what maruti did..
If someone want to satisfy yourself n yrfmly then best choice is non other than ' Elevate ' in entire segment
japanese >>>> korean
Creta sells more in Base Model , However Elevate sells more in Top model .
It's because in lower model of Elevate nothing is offered..Mid variant has nothing..Creta Top model is like lower variant of Elevate 😅
@@truth7419 creta top model is like lower variant of Elevate hmmn
Elevate is a better car and Creta is a better gadget
If you want all those creta features then you need to spend a lot. 2L+ most probably. In that budget I will go for 1.5L turbo Kushaq. Because its engine that should matter the most. Or else i will pick elevate anyday.
Well said @ej, however for some that want something from Japan or Korea, these are great contenders, don't you think?
@ej_whistleblower dont go other than elevate
Still Grand vitara and Hyryder makes sense for Indian Wallets ✌🏻 Technology (Hybrid) is better than turbo.
But they're expensive!
Honda anyday because of reliability ❤ and also don't want to be called a Chhapri 😂
"elevate does outshine the creta on the basics" sums up this entire comparison.
Honda is trying too hard to sell elevates, but it's not a value proposition as well as lacks in power. Plus no diesel engine
It’s actually the best value proposition. It’s the more powerful NA and the diesel is dead anyway.
honda has the better NA engine and dynamics
creta and seltos only advantage is their turbo engines
those not interested in gimmicks will choose elevate
It might miss out on a diesel but on the inside, the Elevate surely feels like a nice cabin!
It's a value for money proportion and cheaper in terms of price by 2-3 lacs compared to competitors but also doesn't lack in power as NA of Honda is way better than Hyundai's NA and VW's 1.0 3 cyl tsi..
Elevate lacks in marketing, outdated interiors, features and not having more powerful turbo petrol engines
Also Dynamics, handling, safety, ride quality etc Elevate is much better than Korean twins
@Varun : ur wrong brother! Honda Elevate-
Good value for money, spacious, suspension and drive position is amazing.
Service way less than Hyundai.
No much/much on electronics 😊

So I am confused in both, so which one should I choose
Creta didn't feel more spacious to me. It lacked in leg room which is way more important than how wide the seat is and let's be honest the middle passenger is not gonna be comfortable in both for long hours. Since we had a verna which lacked in leg space too Honda felt more comfy. My knees wore literally touching in creta when I adjusted the driver's seat acc to my height which is 5'10
Which has better mileage (not on paper) ?
What about the engine and road noise ?
Im actually confused , can anyone give some input. I have taken test ride but its hard to determine.
Anyone who has had long term experience please do share.
This is the age of features, looks, lifestyle. How is the chasis in terms of weight, safety? Driving dynamics? Steering feedback? Body roll? Stability? Feel? Emotion? Engineering?
useful features Elevate lacks:
-standard equipment ventilated seats
-powered driver seat
-rear disc brakes
-360 camera & front parking sensors
-dashcam
-all window one-touch up-down
These things are offered by the competition & will be very useful for the largest vehicle (Elevate) in this segment. In order to keep prices competitive, Honda can add these features and make sunroof optional. Those who want sunroof can pay extra meanwhile for others, more relevant features will be well within their budget.
Elevate has the largest boot & highest ground clearance in its segment.
With Honda's Reliability, Durability, Reputation & all the basics in correct place - "Elevate is anytime a far better choice over Creta."
As a 3rd gen city owner, i wish Honda offered something to upgrade towards, like the Civic or a 7 seater plush version of the Elevate.
What a joke the comment section is!😂
Hyundai = Kim Jong Un & Honda = Soichiro Honda
Creta indeed has latest tech and many more features than Elevated but I think Elevate is more practical in terms that it has more ground clearance than Creta especially when 5 people sit in both cars , Crta feels very low from rear, If u r passing through a road filled with monsoon waters how wil 360 degree camera help but a little better water wading capacity can, further in rear offroading the high ground clearance means you won't have to feel anxious, besides Elevate is hardly seen on roads tat adds to The charm factor while creta is seen everywhere
Feels like cinema! Really good camera work 👏
i needed a car that can fulfill what basically car is supposed to do along with utmost safety and then the comfort and i got elevate :) period
There's no car to beat the Creta in the segment. Seltos comes a close second. All other cars are firghting for the third position.
i dont know why Honda is not working on NVH levels. its the same issue in city, amaze and elevate.I have pasted damping sheets in boot and doors but honda cars have lot of gaps such as between fender and door from inside and between bonnet area and dashboard .
The comment section shows which car to go for. E-L-E-V-A-T-E it is.. 🎉🎉😊
Like the elevate owners trying to justify their purchase 😂😂
😂
Ventilated seats you'll find in Tata small car also . And mostly everyone installs a seat cover so ventilated seats useless.
Seat electronically adjustable option only will be used very rarely compared to other things in car. Aslo cause it's slow moving .. and if some electronics brakes the. Headache
And nobody is too old to bend down and pull a lever or pull a lever.
Man maximum machine minimum and gain profits maximum on every car - Honda philosophy.
Never understand, the ventilated seats and all other features come in the 20L + variant, while the elevate top model comes at 19.5L

Those with actual pockets for these cars would always go with Creta. More so because of Honda's silent exit and less options.
Hyundai selling with more features and Honda selling with more & more reliable in Manual and automatic also.
Karan reminds me of this colleague at work.
