Hey, heroes! Thanks for watching another video! I'm going to be streaming on Twitch again this weekend! On Saturday I'll be trying to finish Mega Man X8 and on Sunday I'm going to start Demon's Souls for PS3!
www.twitch.tv/merrymarvelite
Can you pls do the Grapplers next?
Thanks for all of your work.
Hey @MerryMarvelite! Greetings good sir! Quick question! Being a fan of the MCU/MCM and now that we are getting Monsters and more darker characters of Marvel, do you see them trying out Westerns next and bringing in Two Gun Kid (Matt Clark) since he is a lawyer as well and Cowboys could work in the Multiverse. What do you think?
@@SheriffOutlaw As Long as we can get Carter Slade pre & post Ghost Rider I'm all in on a Marvel Western!!!!
Could you PLEASE DO both the Origins & History of The Blue Shield for me okay MerryMarvelite.
One of my favorite evil groups. They really gave Thor a hard time when they first met.
Thunderball going to teach in Wakanda is a total plot twist.
I admire the Wrecker's loyalty to his friends
Thunderball got screwed over! Glad he got redeemed
I mean, maybe it's better to not have the patent for a nuclear hand grenade with one dude?
Thanks for the origin. I've always heard of it but I never had the opportunity to read it. The Wreaking Crew is a favorite bad guys ever since Secret Wars.
Yup 💯
Love that you captured Thunderballs disjointed story arc
I wish this was the version of the team that was in the mcu!
Hope it’s the version we get
@@marvelswadeteamup400 I don't think that's possible anymore!
@@petersaturday why not?
Hey, double synergy. Continues your Thor run while tying into the She-Hulk show.
The Wrecking Crew is one of my favorite Marvel supervillain teams! Thanks for the video!
bro for a millisecond i thought the video was about the arcade game. xD
They are one of the great B list Marvel villain teams. Just powerful enough to be a threat but never becoming A listers. Their footprints are all over the Marvel Universe too. They have fought just about every hero Marvel has. I really enjoyed this video.
I'm still wishing for a video on anther Asgardian adjacent character, RED NORVELL, the red headed Thor stand in. He was once a very important member of the Marvel Universe when Thor Odinson was gone from earth 616 during Heroes Reborn.
Another great video. Thanks for highlighting Dr. Elliot Franklin. I knew he had a detailed history in the comics but didn’t know the specifics of what had been printed. Any chance we could see a video on Julia Carpenter as Spider-Woman and Madame Web?
Awesome video man. I like the character development of Wrecker and Thunderball and their budding heads. I do think Thunderball should form his own team though instead of trying to usurp Wrecker's position as leader. After all, the team is named after Wrecker's namesake and its by his weapon that the others gained their powers. Just throwing in my own 2 cents here but if he's THUNDERball then he should be with the THUNDERbolts. He's got the power, the experience and the intellect to lead his own Thunderbolts team.
Avengers EMH really nailed the concept of the squad. Yost always did a great job to put the classic with modern adaptation, better than MCU post-Winter Soldier.
NPC Wrecking crew would be in She Hulk. Sheeessshhhh.
EMH got the concept nailed, but they made them and the Absorbing Man Gamma powered metahumans.
@@thefurrybstard1964 Yeah and it's the only reason to explain why they weren't affected by Gamma Dome that transformed anyone except an Asgardian into Gamma Monsters inside.
@@thefurrybstard1964 Yeah, aince they wanted established villains that Loki could recruit rather than the other way around.
@@thefurrybstard1964
What’s wrong with that?
Ah, for so long Thunderball was the rarity of rarities in Comicbook Science, an actual *Genuine* SPECIALIST. Then he got to makign armor.
I have a lot of those old *"Defenders"* comics, including the Crew's first full appearance. Always loved Sal Buscema's simplistic yet effective style.
another great video and origins thanks for sharing
The Wrecking Crew had a good battle with the Defenders w/t Luke Cage back in the middle 70s. It was a good series.
I remember they brutally beat up Hercules when the Masters of Evil took over Avengers Mansion. Herc lost his memory and had to be brought back to Olympus.
I absolutely love The Wrecking Crew!
Ah yes, the always there crew.
I said this in the comment of the Ruby Thursday video but I love dudes like this. Villains who aren't strictly tied to one rouges gallery or another and can just kinda...show up. They add texture to the universe and can act as either opening scenes establishing action and tone (which seems to be the role they occupy these days) or just as complications dumped into other ongoing storylines to keep the heroes on their toes.
Will it be the deepest story you ever read when the Wrecking Crew shows up? No, probably not. Will you have a damn good time watching their cans get kicked up and down the street by whatever hero you're watching or reading? Oh yes, yes you will.
I been waiting for this ! Great topic 🔥💯⚡
That's right kids. THIS is the wrecking crew. Not those Rudy poos that Jen accused of robbing in asgardian construction worker.
Nice of Thunderball to explain the history of The Wrecking Crew in case we were unaware at 8:00 😂
Great stuff is always, have a good one.
I never heard of any of these characters before. Thank you for making this video.
Dear MerryMarvelite, you forgot to add when Wrecker escaped from the big break out Electro caused, and the New Avengers apprehended him.
Also, the Wrecking Crew confronted the Superior Six, Superior Spider-mans own team.
Oh man, I LOVE The Wrecking Crew! I wish that they would face off against Thor more (The Wrecker used to be a pretty big Thor foe.). They need to do more with Thunderball and Bulldozer, though (Do they even have an origin ?).
He pretty much gave the 'origin' of Dr. Elliot Franklin (Thunderball).
this channel is sooo underrated
Great episode.
Can you do history of the U-Foes, the Annihilators, the Squadron Supreme, Doom Maidens, the Midnight_Sons, Young Avengers, Dark Avengers, Masters of Evil, the Thunderbolts and the Champions?
He should do u foes than rest
great video, great narration :) love the Wrecking Crew
I enjoy your videos very much. Could you do a video about the Hangman? He was a villains from the original Spider-Woman (jessica Drew) series. That series had some cool villains like Hammer & Anvil, the needle and the Brothers Grimm.
I love this video man excellent work with the details and information. Plz can you do a video on black cat she’s one of my favorite characters or. herald of galactus
Great stuff!
I had that book with Spiderwoman and Wreckers mother. Good stuff
No offense, but I got so sick of the abusive father trope a long time ago. Still, a good video, thanks for putting it together and sharing it with us.
Oh, I don't disagree. I tire of writing about the abusive father trope, myself, but it keeps getting used and thus I keep needing to report it.
I'm surprised 😮 the crew haven't been in a movie yet. It would be great 👍
They created B's gods to fight the real ones
I've always pictured the Wrecking Crew as the Marvel equivalent of DC's Royal Flush Gang.
I was thrilled and disappointed😢. Got to see a live action Wrecking Crew tho
Here's a thought. Luke Cage with his having been mayor and charity for ex-cons could definitely rehabilitate them, Titania and Absorbing man and start that one company that cleans up the city after superhero fights.
Hey, I love your videos! By the way, I was just wondering Where you get all of your images from? You seem to quite an impressive collection.
Most Marvel books that have been released digitally are available on their subscription service, Marvel Unlimited. That's where I do most of my reading. For books that aren't there I typically have to rely on scans.
@@MerryMarvelite Thank you!
12:54 - cool. if they could get different looking suits for all the members they would be cool to watch destroy things
I remember Iron Man being trashed by both the Wrecker then Chemistro. I didn't know at that time the Wrecker alone could be a match for Shellhead.
Please do a video on the Secret Empire soon
I’ve seen them in the Earth’s Mightiest Super Heroes Show, & In the 84 secret wars 😂 They’re hilarious
Sweet 👍
Super late, but there’s more about Bulldozer than just being a bruiser. His mother threw him into trash while he was just an infant, he was dishonorably discharged from military and also screwed over by his higher ups, many of his friends died because of this and that’s why he turned to criminal life. He was also a former boxer.
He has a daughter named Marci Camp who took over his job as Bulldozer several times. although, she’s not as strong as her father. She seems to love his father, I think Bulldozer is a good father to Marci.
He’s also drawn as the biggest member of the crew most of the times, even though he appeared in normal size during Secret Wars and his 80s iconic run with the Masters of Evil.
He’s strong enough to do damage to Thor, Luke Cage, even the Hulk, but at the same time Marvel made him weaker in some cases for the hero’s plot armor. Moon Knight beat him by just running him over with a car, Punisher apparently can physically stop him, and many other plot armors that doesn’t make sense.
Great video, can you do one for Kurse, the dark elf?
Just wish the MCU didn't dumb them down so much I mean if they're rolling with the leader you think you'd be able to augment them at least have some of that super strength from the comics
I agree but I think they will get thier powers probably from Amora this time bringing her I to the MCU and they will battle the Thunderbolts any thoughts on that??
Great video by the way well done some fun facts I never knew..
Considering how they say they are working for someone after the She Hulk blood (probably Contessa Valentina or the Leader) , I have strong theory they might achive this in the end of the series and use her blood to become the giant muscle guys they are in the comics.
Can you do history of the Beyonder, Crossfire, Living Laser, Iron Monger, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, Ultimo, Darkhawk, Union Jack, Annihilus, the Badoon and the Broods?
GREAT CLIP & HOW ABOUT HISTORY OF POWER PACK,DAZZLER & TIGRA.
Were these guys fan favorites at the time or something because I can not think of another reason why Marvel writers would keep having them be de-powered only to give them their powers again
Karnilla of the Norns!😮😮😮
My favorite two wrecking crew’s is bulldozer an piledriver
Since you did the History of the Mandarin and Fin_Fang_Foom, can you do history of Ultimo as well as the Shang-Chi villain known as the Death_Dealer?
I always liked This Villian Group..Glad that they were in The She-Hulk TV Show..Hope to see them in full tho..They way they showed them in The Show was cool but they didn’t look like what I expected..Would be Dope to see a TV Show based on them tho..I think if done right it would be good.
Biggz Was Here. Peace.
Can you add apocalypse to your list please?
Man, they are into so much of a joke on She-Hulk smh. Hopefully they get the Gamma irradiated blooded and use it on themselves or something and become who they’re supposed to be. I know they weren’t the most well known characters but that was just ridiculous how they were done on that crappy show smh. But more than likely they won’t be done any better because Marvel/Disney likes to make it’s male characters rude, goofy, stupid, sexist, racist, jerk idiots while all their female characters are the strongest, smartest, beautiful, heroic, heroes than can be. It’s kinda messed up and it’s double standards if you ask me. But you didn’t ask me so I’ll stop now I guess.
I agree with you
I can see tht working for Thunderball since he’s an expert with Gamma. But aren’t they powers by Asgardian magic?
What was up with the Wrecking Crew using construction equipment from New Asgard in the MCU and that too in the She-Hulk Disney Plus Show?
They need to work for the Kingpin they need to be led they can't do it on their own
Can you do origin of the Grim Reaper, Molecule Man, Sentry, Mr Immortal, Captain Universe, Dreadknight, Hypnotia, Blizzard, Starhawk, Flerken, Whirlwind, Chemistro, Whiplash, Ronan the Accuser, Ego the Living Planet, the Living Tribunal and Super_Skrull along with Avenger-X and the Protector?
That's messed up the record breaks them out of prison multiple times gives them powers and then is stabbed in the back. They should have used the smart guy who betrayed him and asked him to take apart the Crowbar and wield it or weld it into something else like a power ring or something permanent
Recommend Merlin or selene for future vote
Hahaha! Boy, do I know all about Northern Manitoba. (I live in Southern Manitoba) Great place for a super prison cause even if you got out, chances are the COLD wouldn't let you go. And don't think summer is any better because the terrain, wildlife, bugs and distance from anything remotely "civilized" is tremendous! The Wrecking Crew are a fun team. \m/
Can you do history of the characters mentioned in this video?
OMG THE BEST!
How long till you do history of America-Chavez in honour of the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness along with the history of the Grim Reaper?
I put her on a Patron Poll once but she didn't get a ton of votes. I might circle back around to her at some point. As for the Grim Reaper, I feel his story would tread a lot of the same ground as the Wonder Man video. I may still do him at some point but I'd like there to be some more time between those.
Can you do origin of the Brood, the Gladiator, Hyperion, Blue_Marvel, Alistair Smythe the Ultimate Spider Slayer, Stingray, Quasar, Squirrel_Girl, Ultimus, Kly'bn, Kang the Conqueror, Annihilus and Tryco Slatterus the Champion of the Universe?
The COMPETENT versions!
Basically the "muscular marvel version" of the I.M.P
What do you think is the best thing about the Wrecking Crew in the Comics? What would happen if each of the members of the Wrecking Crew had enchanted weapons instead of depending on one Crowbar?
TWC are genuinely scary to me ever since the beat the 💩 out of Hercules. That was like some prison 💩. Continuing to beat a man even beyond him being beaten & begging for you to stop. Truly frightful
What do you think the Wrecking Crew would be like if Doctor Strange removed the enchantment in the Crowbar?
Who do you think is the best member of the Wrecking Crew in the Comics? What would happen if someone like Titania and the Absorbing_Man joined them?
I'm a big fan of Thunderball. His combination of brains and brawn, as well as his ability to do the right thing makes him much more likable than the Wrecker, in my opinion.
The first secret wars..they are all in same team.. Titania I believe debuted in that series..go pacers
When did we find out The Wrecking Crew’s civilian names? I don’t remember them being named in the comics for a while .
I'm not sure if their names were established before this but all four of them were identified in 1983's Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.
it was funny that the Wrecking Crew MCU robbed an Asgardian construction worker for their powers. they should bring them back as actual superhumans.
Who's here after SHE HULK ATTORNY AT LAW savagely destroyed these great marvel characters???
I agree with you
Back when Marvel Comics was awesome in the '80s when The Wrecking Crew once took down the strongest person in the entire Marvel Universe Hercules my favorite character though I think Hercules would have murdered all of them if he hadn't been so drunk and drugged
Smashing.
~_~
Try a green goblin video
Is the Wrecking Crew the guys that jump She-Hulk in the new Disney + show?
Cool beans
Why Did The MCU Have to Race Swap Thunderball Though???
They race swap Bulldozer and Wrecker too
@@Herrkrampus4764 SMH, tht was horrible depiction of The Wrecking Crew
@@jermainenowels9511 they don’t care, they just need any B lister male villains to be a group of incels to get beaten up by She Hulk. Which is sad, because for genuine marvel fans, Wrecking Crew was pretty iconic (let’s not forget that The Beyonder chose them among millions of other supervillains to join the Secret Wars).
MCU really screwed them up
MCU screwed them up!!
Theyre like the perfect street level criminals. Not as significant as the Kingpin or Bullseye but not as silly as the likes of Stilt-Man or others of the like.
It sucks that in the MCU they are just some random internet trolls who stole Wakandan tools
Why do they keep the traitor around if he keeps doing it?
🍻🤳🏻
I never knew how much depth these jobbers had
i hope they're approved upon in the mcu
So this is Tupac was mentioning in the film Juice lol
They "Raced Swapped" a character but now outrage,
Because a "hite actor got work....🇺🇸
all of them. the only not white guy of the comic team is now the only white guy in this adaption.
These guys are so lame
No they're not.
Great story but the narrator is awful. Watch a few episodes of Infographic or Toy Galaxy to hear superior narration.
I guessing this is wrecker origin man I feel bad 😔 for him an his teammates of piledriver bulldozer an thunderball 0:33
They battled Damage Control is it before or after Asuka and Kairie Sane joined 😂😂😂
